I tried to go here on 7÷25÷14 to pick up some cupcakes for my wife, but they are closed. FYI.

I ordered a groom’s cake for my son’s wedding. It was not created as specified and it was very dry. To add to the disappointment in how it looked, it also arrived AFTER the wedding started, so I became very anxious that it was not going to make it all. I sent an email to the owner and have yet to receive any response at all. You would think she would at least apologize, if not offer a discount.

I have been meaning to add an update. To add insult to injury, when the credit card bill came, I saw that I was double charged for my expensive cake. I filed a dispute with my credit card and they handled it beautifully. Check your statements carefully.

I used Cakes Amore for my wedding cake and we really liked the finished product but was not impressed with the service. When we went to meet with them the owner was late to our appointment. I showed her a picture from a magazine of a 2 tiered cake in white icing with candied oranges around the edges, before I could even tell her what I liked about the cake she interrupted me by saying that candied fruit is way too expensive and time consuming and she didn’t want to do it. Once I explained that I just liked the look of it she suggested doing the scallops another way and it turned out great. She was very blunt, almost to rude, when we were talking. I mentioned to my mom as the owner walked away that I thought it was funny that I couldn’t find any redheaded cake toppers on line and she whirled around to tell me that no one makes those and its extra if I want her to paint a blonde one red. While we were there they kept trying to convince us that we needed to have a groom’s cake even though we explained many times that we had a small party and did not want a second cake. When the cake arrived at the ceremony it was a delicious lemon cake that looked great. Although they forgot to bring the topper we discussed at the store but I was not charged for it. The cake looked wonderful and tasted great and that is really more important than how polite she was while we ordered. the price ended up being pretty reasonable as well.

Please read this before considering this company: I commissioned Cake Amore to create a custom cake for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday — this cake was going to be the centerpiece of the party, and I put a lot of time and thought into this. I met with the cake consultant, who I assumed was the creator; they immediately whipped out the stacks of books that contained mountains of beautifully made cakes, which put me immediately at ease that they could make a great cake. Boy, was I wrong. I gave them more than two weeks to create my cake, which I paid a lot of money for(upfront). The day came for me to pick it up and it looked like a child had put this cake together. I provided color photos and more than enough information to them. The cake was supposed to feed 25 to 30 people, it didn’t look like it. To be fair, the owner did offer to give me more cake if I wanted, but I continued to try to construe to them that the quantity was not my foremost concern, it was the lack of quality and professionalism of the cake. Needless to say, I left without a cake, but a full refund, so I do say thank you to the owner for honoring that.
