This place is amazing! Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. The employees are very cheerful and helpful. The selection is tiny however and I hope they get more products. Overall, a wonderful place to shop and hang out.

Walked in yesterday to check the place out. There were 3 or 4 people behind the register and one other in front. They all sat around talking. I assumed one or more worked there. No one said a word to me. No one asked if I needed help; not even a simple «hi». They couldn’t care less, I guess. I walked around browsing for a few minutes. Still, these people said nothing to me. I might as well not exist. I walked out.
I went to a rival store about a block away which was 10 times bigger and friendlier. As I browsed there, I was asked if I needed help by 3 different people.
I spent just over $ 100 at the rival store. One of the items I bought was also here at Collected. However, if they don’t care enough to even acknowledge me, I don’t care if I’ve been looking for something for years, I would never buy it here.
I don’t think they will be in business very long.

This is a fantastic comic book store with great gifts to give to your nerdy friends and family. The place is kind of cramp at times when there are a lot of people there espically on free comic book day. Collected was originally Lone Star Comics by the way.

The group of employees they have working here are the best I’ve ever seen. I can’t speak highly enough about their customer service. They’re always helpful and always inviting. Somehow they’ve transformed a store into feeling like a second home.

When we first walked in, the guy at the register didn’t even acknowledge us and there was no one else in the store. Maybe he thought because we were dressed in church clothes we were lost. Maybe he had just woken up. Maybe he was pissed since no one knows how to put a price tag on things before displaying them! Not one thing we were interested in had a price tag. That would tick me off if I had to look up the price for everything anytime someone wanted to know.
This place was tiny and over priced… perhaps because it’s in Plano? A limited selection of items: comic books, MtG (Magic: The Gathering) cards/​sleeves/​boxes, figurines, books, VERY limited choice of dice. This place seems more like a «come-in-and-we-can-order-your-stuff-since-we-probably-don’t-have-it-in-stock» sort of place.
I’m glad we got a chance to stop in, unfortunately for them, we probably won’t be back.
Good customer service + good selection + prices on items = happy return customers.

If memory serves, this used to be Lone Star Comics’ Plano location. Even signage outside the shop indicates the former tenant. Today, Collected: Plano picks up where the comic/​collectible shop left off. Good selection of current news stand comics (including subscription service), a small back issue section, lots of toys and goodies, and a nice gaming section. When I visited, the back end of the shop had several games in progress, crowding out many of the patrons. Friendly service.

Formally Lone Star comics, this place has changed since having been bought by Collected, and I’d say for the better. The layout is more friendly, not as cluttered and there’s really a bigger focus on the comics, which I enjoy. They also do events constantly from comic days and groups dedicated to just talking about new and favorite comics to broaden your palette to FNM magic events and more. It’s a great store manned by some of the most knowledgeable people in the area, not to mention friendly! The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is beyond anyone’s control except the owners, and that’s the stores size. They’ve done a great job streamlining the space they have available, but just can’t get around it’s a small store and that limits the amount of events and what they can do there. Other than size, absolutely everything else is great!
