I want to start by saying that I love Cowboy Chicken, but this visit was horrible. I am only speaking food related because the customer service was great, but you need both for a great experience. I ordered the lunch special which is a leg & thigh with two sides for $ 5.99 + tax. I’ll just get right to it… Chicken was soooooo salty and old looking. My first side was the«Tangy tomato and Cucumber Salad», but when it arrived it was lifeless. My tomatoes were transparent and the cucumbers soggy. Dull looking vegetables are always a sign that it’s not fresh. So I opted for the sweet corn. Corn was not fresh either. Tasted a little milky and grainy. The best thing on my plate was my sweet potato. It was so yummy. Not sure what happened here, but there needs to be some improvements and fast!

I used to love this place because of the quality of the food at reasonable prices. Those days are apparently over and I’ve eaten my last dry chicken at this location! If you want dry chicken, by all means come here.

****update**** I wanted to order from them again even after my bad experience but my co worker asked me too call them to see if they would try to make Up for the bad experience the manager laughed it off and acted like he didn’t care for our business I work in customer service and to me that behavior is absolutely unacceptable I will not be back an I will make sure to let everyone know that if you get a messed up order/cold food from this establishment they won’t care to fix it defiantly Not worth anyone’s money! Me and my co worker ordered delivery for the first time from here today. I work at a Hilton and sometimes i wanna order new food. There isn’t very many places around us that deliver so when we found this place we were really excited my co worker was really craving chicken and i(being a vegetarian) was very excited to see all the different sides and vegetables they offer including being able to order a veggie platter. I ordered the veggie platter with Corn fritters, Mac and cheese and French fries(not feeling healthy at all) my coworker got a grilled chicken platter with green beans and tomato cucumber salad. We also both got apple cobbler. When we placed the order they told us it would take an hour where we work is pretty close by so we were kind of shocked but went ahead with the order sense we were excited. The order ended up arriving in about 40 minutes and the delivery guy was wonderful we kept him waiting for a little while because the front desk didn’t alert us that he had arrived and he didn’t seem bothered by waiting at all. Now on to the food my macaroni was great as well as the corn fritters but my fries were charred to a crisp which was upsetting because they seemed like they had potential. My coworker said her chicken was cold and bland and that the green beans had little flavor but she loved the tomato cucumber salad. We loved the rolls and the cobbler has good flavor but was a little to mushy for me. Overall I kinda liked them but I do feel they could put more effort into some of there items. it’s hard to compliment a establishment when the performance is inconsistent I would order again because it’s a good delivery option for my workplace but I would defiantly consider a different restaurant first. I am a little scared that when I order again the order could be better but it could also be significantly worse if they consistently neglect certain food items.

Went here for a lunch outing with work and REALLY wanted to like it… but just wasn’t the greatest. First of all, it’s like 5 million degrees inside, smells like strong hickory smoke throughout the entire dining area(we all smelled like it after we left), and the food is just so-so. I ordered the grilled chicken breast plate with sweet potato and beans on the side. The chicken was a little too dry, but the sweet potato and beans were good. I’ve had the chicken enchiladas before when we catered at the office, and those were really good, but not good enough for me to venture here just for that. It’s not bad, but definitely not a repeat restaurant for me… especially with so many yummy options in the area.

I really love that Cowboy Chicken delivers and you get a full meal. Typically, I have enjoyed the food and actually switched to this location from the one I already reviewed because I thought they did a better job. Truth is I am switching back to the other location. The vegetables were awful. I am freezing them to use in a stir fry later and will have to water them down. I used to get enough food to nosh on for a couple of days but the salad was minimal which to me was the most disappointed besides the chicken was full of bones and fat. The beans were not as spicy. I feel like greed is getting the best of this location. The success of Cowboy Chicken from other franchise, it is affordable, healthy, family style meals for the working class but they really need to re-evaluate what they are doing. Hoping this was a one time error on their part but my delivery driver sort of made me feel that it is there new standard, disappointing to say the least. :(

I have to give Cowboy Chicken a shout-out. I’ve regularly been getting ¼ white meat chicken, a whole sweet potato, a mound of green beans, and a wheat roll for ~$ 7. If you need to eat out but are trying to eat healthy, all while on a budget, it’s a fantastic option relative to everything else in the area. Other fast food isn’t healthy, and other healthy food is expensive. Staff is friendly here. The manager(don’t have his name, will update review later) is probably the friendliest guy I’ve given an order to and works so hard. Cowboy Chicken probably competes with Chipotle in my mind; both are a decent amount of good-tasting food for around the same price, but Cowboy wins in terms of nutrition.

I frequent the place on a regular basis, but it’s only because of the creamed spinach and potatoes. The chicken has a really good taste to me, but I have a real hard time knowing that it’s not organic chicken. It’s probably the greasiest chicken I have ever had. You know the feeling like wanting to eat something bad for you but it taste oh so good. That’s their chicken. the grade of food is really low, but the taste keeps me coming back. They should just try it for a limited time and send out coupons that they are going to have organic chicken and see how that does. Yeah, the price would be a little higher, but the taste would be well worth the added expense. I’d probably eat there once a week if they had organic choices. For now I will stick with that monthly visit.

I really like cowboy flavor chicken rotisserie but for last times that I’m eating this chicken I found its small and more small and over cooked, definitly the best option its POLLOTROPICAL.

Worst chicken I have ever had. Sides were cold and all portions extremely small. Should have expected something when we were the only ones in the restaurant.

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was going to be a delicious meal. The place smells great and looked impeccable. I didn’t know what to order. There were so many options! After a few minutes I ordered the ¼ chicken(white) with Mac and cheese and vegetables. The seasoning in the chicken was great and the meat just fell off. The Mac and cheese was very tasty and cheesy. I didn’t eat the vegetables because they have bell peppers and I am allergic. They smell delicious and I’m pretty sure they are, but I can’t really eat them. Another plus was the friendly staff!

We ordered delivery tonight(arrived within 30 minutes) and it was great! The ¼ rotisserie chicken was more than enough for me. I will have leftovers tomorrow from it. Of the sides the twice baked potatoes were super yummy. Probably my favorite. The mac n cheese reminded me of the kind you would get at a church picnic. Homestyle cheesiness. Corn fritters were sweet crunchy goodness. Fried okra was just standard frozen variety. Probably my least favorite. Oh do yourself a favor and get a jalapeño. It’s a whole fresh jalapeño that is wood fire grilled. So good! Peach cobbler was a great ending to split.

Outstanding rotisserie chicken and unique twice baked potatoes. The place smells most delicious! I get the ¼ all white(breast and wing) w/one side of twice baked potatoes(and a forgettable dinner roll) for about $ 7. A very good value. I have ordered the grilled chicken breast twice – never again. It’s dry and lacks the flavor you are otherwise smelling in the place. They need to bus tables quicker during the lunch rush.

Stopped by here for lunch with the wife. It looks like a typical fast food type place, but it smells so good! The prices seem pretty reasonable. We both had the ¼ white chicken and green beans. The beans were really good. I thought the chicken could’ve been a bit juicer but it was pretty good as well. Cowboy Chicken is a healthy alternative to fast food. I’d probably come back for lunch again.

Who knew cooking rotisserie chicken with the heat of burning wood would be: So.Dang.Good? Cowboy knew it! The chicken here is off the charts good. I believe it’s pretty healthy, and the flavor you get from the wood fire just takes rotisserie chicken to a whole new level. It’s smoky, moist, and the portion size is plentiful. I was hungry and got the plate with two chicken breasts and a side of green beans. If I hadn’t overdone the sweet tooth earlier in the day, I would have opted for a more carby side like sweet potatoes or mac n cheese. :-b The green beans are really good, too. I’m a huge lover of fresh green beans, and a huge hater of canned green beans. They sautee fresh green beans here, perfectly salt and peppered and not overly greasy at all. I was digging and searching for more when I realized I’d ate them all. They give you a lot, too. The barbeque sauce is fantastic! Sweet but not sickeningly so, and definitely had a kick of tart and spicy. Great meld of flavors. The staff here is really nice, and service is quick but not too quick where you wonder if what you ordered had already been sitting there. I took mine to-go, and probably waited maybe 8 minutes. There was no line though on a Monday night. :) The set up is like a Boston Market, with the main difference(other than better quality of food here, and it’s all Dallas not Boston) :) being that the sides are not displayed behind a glass in front of you. The only thing you’ll see is the rotisserie chicken twirling in a furnace with the wood and flames. The place itself is decorated in heavy woods, they play country music, and you’ll leave smelling like smoke, even if you’re in there for just ten minutes. :) Prices are good. For two chicken breasts and one side(and it comes with a dinner roll… that’s just ok, nothing wow), under $ 10. If you opt for one breast and a thigh or leg, it’s obviously cheaper. They also offer two sides with your meal, if you’re feeling like getting some major grub on. p. s. They have a whole lot of other menu items than just chicken plates and sides, although those entrees do include that great chicken.

Chicken is really tasty. Lots of sides to pick from. I am a peach cobbler guy and this fell way short for me. Sweet but not hot.

Overall great food !!! I had lunch special ¼ chicken for 5.99 best value, chicken was falling of the bone. There potato chips are fried in the house not those bags. Great ambiance !!! Quick service, manger stop by at all the tables to check on guest, you hardly see that now a days.

Picked up dinner here. Notice that they also have delivery. Grabbed a ¼ white chicken plate for hubs and caved to their famous chicken enchiladas for myself. Both were yummy and sides were also enjoyed! Good cooking, easy online ordering. All for under $ 20.

The cashier was super friendly and helpful greeting us right as we walked in. The chicken was excellent and came out really fast. I ordered a chicken breast platter and thought it was very tender and moist. I can’t wait to come back and try the rotisserie chicken!
