There’s a lot of schools in the Plano/Frisco area and MNBA is one of the best. I checked out several schools in the areas(montessori and preschool) at all tuition ranges and this is the one i thought was the most well rounded. We have been at this school for over a year now and the progress our child has made has been nothing short of amazing. The teachers and faculty are a parent’s dream– long tenure and very involved in teaching the parents how to reinforce concepts at home. The big draw for our family was the AMS accrediation(indication of true montessori– not just a title), the diversity and multiculturalism(each year international night, languages taught, diverse student population), long tenured teachers, organic lunch menu and snacks, incorporation of nature in the curriculum and the school environment. It’s a drive for our family– but it’s worth the sacrifice for the mileage and the«higher» tuition. You get what you pay for and it’s really not that much more than having your kid in full time daycare. Education vs. Babysitting. We picked education and investing in our child. It’s been well worth it!

I have had two children go through this wonderful school and I can’t say enough great things about the educators and environment provided them here. I love that’s it’s a non-profit school, and the parents concerns are really heard. My youngest in particular has really blossomed as he has become a «mentor» to some of the younger children, which is just one of the fantastic attributes of a true Montessory education. M: NBA is a great school, filled with great people who will love your children and help them be the best version of themselves!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this school. First, it is an AMS associate member. Anyone can call themselves a Montessori, but only those that are certified are guaranteed to use Montessori methods and materials. Moreover, MNBA is a not for profit school, meaning that there aren’t owners who are there to make money, only teachers and staff who love to teach kids. For me, that was a huge distinction and one that no other Montessori in the area can claim. The education my son has gotten here is excellent. The teachers and staff are incredibly welcoming and inclusive. Every member of the staff knows my son’s name, whether they teach him or not. There is a wonderful parents’ group and many opportunities for volunteering. MNBA has a great location by a creek which has beavers, a heron, and many other creepy, crawly wonders. Each classroom has its own porch and outside access. MNBA was the only school I saw with such access to nature. This is a truly special school. I looked all over Plano and Frisco and I didn’t see any that could hold a candle to MNBA.
