Have been looking for a good authentic Taqueria place close to work and came across this one on Unilocal.Went for lunch today and got an order of beef fajita taco’s to go. OMG… They were really great. The salsa verde was very tasty and hot but hot in a good way. The Taco’s were a dollar each. Also tasted their fresh guacamole and it was awesome. The service was great and the atmosphere was really nice. You can eat there or take it to go. I would give this place a two thumbs up. Note: The name of the place has changed to Corazon Lindo Resturante

In the search for more«taqueria-style» taco joints, I happened across this place. Despite the name, this isn’t merely an indoor taco stand but an actual Mexican restaurant that happens to do real tacos the right way. The price matches too, 1.25 or 1.50 each(a la carte) rather than ordering a platter at some tex-mex place and getting 3 tacos and a side or 2 for $ 11. Those who are looking to be a little adventurous will be able to do that here. In addition to the traditional pastor, chorizo, and chicken/beef fajita tacos, there are also lengua and tripa — and listed right below those is cabeza(head) and cachetes(cheek). Kinda makes me wonder what other parts could be cooked up and dropped in a tortilla. At any rate the pastor and tripa tacos both get high marks. One surprising thing to note, they weren’t dripping with grease … so at first I thought the meat would be dry or tough but not at all is this the case. Also the tortillas are the good soft and warm kind, not the cheap stale ones that are dunked in oil before serving. When I saw the word SOPE I had to get one of them too. A ¼-inch think disk of masa holding refried beans, choice of meat(highly recommend the barbacoa), etc. and topped with sour cream and cotija. Not exactly something you’d eat off the trunk of your car but there’s more than 3 bites to these. The menu also listed tamales, soups(even the illustrations looked good), seafood, and other platters. And you have your run of all the usual Mexican beverages. At 1:30 on a Monday afternoon this place was basically dead. Either the 12 – 1 lunch hour is when they do all their business or maybe it’s the hard to see location in the middle of the predominantly Hispanic area. Whatever is the case, Morelos is definitely worth a go.
