I have been to holy grail a few times and it’s always been consistent with taste and value. Service, however has always been good but slow. The other evening I found a huge change in that. My server Tristan was extremely knowledgable and professional! He spaced out everything timely and made it a great evening for us all! I will continue to recommend this establishment. I’ve been in the restaurant game for awhile and this lets me know great hospitality still exist.

One of the best bars in Plano/Frisco area. Bartenders are extremely hospitable and attentive.

Fun place for pub trivia! Great prices on whiskey! Excellent customer service! I ordered a grilled prosciutto & Brie sandwich, and it was not to my liking. The server instantly came to the rescue and brought me something else. I went with the cheese plate which I was able to customize with my own choices of cheeses from a nice sized list.

Came in for brunch. Nice little pub very inviting and dark. $ 4 mimosas yes please! Had gravy fries which were outstanding. My bf had the monte cristo which he said was great. Chicken and waffles were okay. Chicken was bland and greasy. Waffles were nice and soft with the jalepeno butter and syrup! Yum yum would come here again!

Good atmosphere. Strange seating arrangement. Small space. Decent food. Whatever cheese they use is disgusting. Tastes like burnt hobo clothing.

Loved this place. Dark old school pub … great food and wonderful whiskey sour’s. We ordered the steak and frites and it was AMAZING! Served with a wonderful red wine reduction sauce that I could not get enough of. The dessert, which we took home was a chocolate icebox pie and it was worth every calorie! A new favorite.

We came in with the intent of sharing the gravy fries and then having a meal, but that wasn’t possible about halfway in. They are HUGE. I liked them, but I wish there was a little more gravy. They would be great drunk/hangover food. They have a huge draft selection that seems to rotate pretty often. The atmosphere is typical pub scene — not a lot of light. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

Awesome drinks! And awesome food! The sliders are amazing, and the gravy fries are definitely my favorite«bar food» around here. Nice, dark setting. It can get pretty crowded yet it’s still always a great time. They have patio seating as well, which is great for the warmer weather. A huge selection of whiskey, if you’re in to that. Great service overall too.

I honestly always try to look for the good in every situation when it comes to dining at establishments, but I just couldn’t find much for The Holy Grail Pub. Let me start off by saying this is my second time dining at The Holy Grail and the last time I was here I remember it being outstanding, so I figured it would be a great spot for my girlfriends birthday dinner(she even agreed). However, this night didn’t go well. We ordered appetizers for the most part. I went for the Roasted Tomato Basil soup while she opted for a side of White Cheddar Mac and Cheese. The Tomato Basil came with cute little grilled cheese sandwich bites which were great for dipping, but the soup itself after you get about halfway through just starts to lose its taste and honestly just didn’t taste good. As for the Mac and Cheese goes that was great. I have zero complaints on that side plate. As for the rest of our party they just weren’t impressed with the food at all. If it were just me then I’d say maybe I’m just being picky and a brat, but when half of a party of 12 says the food just wasn’t there well… The food must be off. To top it off one of our friends called us the next day sick as she had gotten food poisoning. I’m not sure if we came on a really off night or what, but this is not The Holy Grail I remember initially grubbing at. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself returning unless it’s for drinks only with some buddies.

What a fun place! We met some friends here for drinks and ended up ordering food as well! The service was great, the drinks were quick and the environment was fun. They had a large selection of draft beers, many local. Highly recommend the alcohol infused cheesecake! This night it was made with Grand Marnier. All 5 of us devoured it. The French fries were wedge cut and delicious. They kept trying to bring drinks to us that we’re for the table next to us, but other than that, everything was phenomenal!

The fish and chips were some of the best I’ve had. The humus app is also very good. The place is small and very noisy but a great joint. Beer selection is hard to beat. Any place with a Speckled Hen on tap, always rises to the top of the list. We will be back when we are in the area again. We are going to try a non-peak time to eat. Service was spot on. Not a good option if you have more than four in your group. They do have outdoor seating, but it doesn’t have the atmosphere you get inside.

I really like this place. It’s a rare pub find out in the suburbs. Very chill atmosphere and it’s always packed! If you get here during peak hours, be prepared to make a few laps before finding a table. It’s not a very big place. There’s good food and drinks and every night they have a fun event or drink specials. Last time my girlfriend and I went for a gossip sesh, it was trivia night, and it was loud and fun! We combined teams with the table next to us and even though we didn’t win, we met some new friends and had a blast. The drinks are great, food is great and service is friendly! Give this place a try if you haven’t. Guaranteed fun times with great food and drinks!

First visit but love love love this place already! Easily a 5 star pub, only 4 at this point bc they were out of their infamous crafted ginger beer — to say I can’t wait to try it in a Moscow Mule on our next visit is an understatement. Not usually a place I’d go out of my way to find, but after reading the reviews and that it’s been voted best pub food in Dallas for several years, we were lured in(thankfully!). The food really is all it’s claimed to be. The two things I’m on the lookout for are Moscow Mules and Mac & Cheese. I am going on record that their Lobster Mac & Cheese is THE best in town. Four cheese with a generous amount of lobster claw meat — you’ve got to get you some if in the area! We also enjoyed the medium-rare Cali burger on a really fresh grilled bun along with a piece of their chocolate pie(all kinds of chocolate awesomeness!). As was the ambiance, seating, staff and overall vibe. We both commented that we wished we lived closer, it would easily be our fave neighborhood spot to chill at. Great for watching games, indoor & outdoor seating and a decent amount of TVs. The waiter shared that the owner also has another place in Las Colinas we’re going to try soon. If it’s half as good as The Holy Grail Pud and serves Mules, it will be Snoopy Dance find for certain!

I know this place has great reviews but I wasn’t so impressed. It wasn’t really bad… just a little weird. The food was ok but it was SO dark inside. My boyfriend joked that everyone was like vampires every time the door opened. It looked like everyone was trying to get away from the light because it was bright outside and REALLY dark inside. It helped that it sort of has this old English pub kind of feel too. Our server was nice though and the food came out pretty quickly.

I’d have never known this place existed without Unilocal.I was searching for places to have lunch near my office, and this popped up. A friend/co-worker and I headed there on a Friday to check it out. It definitely has the pub look and feel, with the big, heavy opaque door that reveals nothing of the inside. Moving in, it’s a definite pub atmosphere, with dark wood and modest lighting, but it’s very clean and inviting at the same time. The bar dominates, but there’s a decent amount of seating that includes booths and tables. After settling in to our booth, we looked at the menu. I had already decided what I wanted based on the menu on the website, but I had to confirm that I could get an upgrade on the fries that come with the burger, and after confirming that it was a modest upcharge, I went with the bacon cheeseburger, requested medium. The fries upgrade was«gravy fries», their version of the Canadian favorite, poutine. This version has brown gravy and gruyère chese in lieu of the traditional cheddar curds. In a word, they’re spectacular. You must not miss this dish. But what of the burger? In a definite nod to quality over quantity, it’s modest in diameter, but the patty is thick and the challah bun is as well. Cutting into it, my meat was a smidge above the requested medium, but it was still very juicy and delicious. The meat is ground onsite from sirloin and includes pork fat and spices for flavor; it makes for a very good burger. While the burger was probably in the top 10 that I’ve had in some time, those fries are what really knocked this meal out of the park. It’s absolutely worth the trip just for them. Check ‘em out!

Everytime I try to come here on a Friday or Saturday night it is packed. Several times I have just turned around and walked out because there is nowhere to sit at the bar and I don’t want to make the effort to look for a table(no host). So they must be doing something right. Apparently I haven’t quite gotten the memo just yet. They do advertise that they were awarded«best bar food» by D Magazine… The craft beer options are pretty broad and standard priced. Although my Dallas Blonde was room temp last couple times I had it. I prefer my draft beer to be cold but whatever. The food options are«Eh». Burgers and sandwiches are $ 11 and up. I think $ 8-$ 10 would be more practical. Service is always very laid back and relaxed. I recently had the pressed chicken sandwich —(white bread, pressed, grilled chicken, avocado, melted cheese and«chipotle» spread) with fries. $ 11 It was decent but I don’t recall the«chipotle» having any sort of «chipotle» flavor to it at all. The fries were hot, crispy and fresh. I really want to love this place and I will continue to go back and keep trying. But I still don’t understand what keeps it so busy? What am I missing?!

What a great find! Huge selection of beer and some good ciders. We started with the gray fries and a cheese plate. The cheese fries are similar to Poutine, but melted cheese instead of cheese curds. The gravy is good and has a little peppery taste. The steak sandwich was perfectly done.

We came in one evening in between my boyfriends softball games. It’s right off Preston in a shopping center. Unlike most pubs, it’s not dark and dreary. But don’t get me wrong it’s not overly bright. The tables were clean and so was the floor. That’s a plus in my book when it comes to pubs! For my meal I ordered the Cali burger with no bun. My boyfriend ordered the steak frites. My burger was stupid good. I can’t even explain how awesome it was. The meat was so juicy, cooked perfect and had so much flavor. It was one of THE best burgers I’ve ever had. It can’t really compare to hopdoddy or anything because those are«gourmet» burgers. But for a traditional burger with nothing fancy on it but cheese and jalapeños, this one was pretty awesome. My boyfriends steak frites were ok. There wasn’t a lot of flavor to them. They weren’t bad, they were just ok. It wasn’t something I’d crave. Their fries however are great! Crispy and not too salty. I only wish I’d asked for double fries! Although I don’t know if I could have eaten that much but I sure would have tried! Service was ok. Our waiter was sweet but so incredibly slow. We had to ask another waitress for silverware, condiments and eventually our tab. He was really trying but he just really lacked in timing and actual presence. Overall a great place to go. It’s not ridiculously loud, not too dark and the food is good. I would definitely recommend stopping in!

I absolutely love this pub! My first time here and the service was great. The environment is wonderful. They serve so many local beers and they will give you recommendations if needed. It’s amazing. The waiter had personality(in a fun, playful, and friend-like way), and it made me feel comfortable and at home. And I cannot stress enough on how good their fries are. First, let me say that it comes in a large serving. Second, I was craving for mac and cheese for weeks. These fries that contained cheese and gravy… Have satisfied my craving for mac and cheese. I don’t know how… But it did. I would definitely come back here just for the fries and I’d stay for the drinks and the service.
