The Little Marketa

Excellent guacamole. I no longer live in the area but when I’m around, I stop in and get some to bring home… and an horchata. Nice little mercado.

It used to be just small mexican store where I was always buys seasoned meat either for grilling or just to make pastor. Great selection of meat and chesse. Recently they opened kitchen inside that store so I had to go check it out since I can eat mexican all day everyday. So I got steak burrito and pastor tacos. Lots of meat on tacos and huge burrito. One of biggest I’ve ever had. Mind you i do eat lots of mexican food. If you are in the area go check it out. Recommended

I ordered food from their restaurant for a party of 50 plus people. The order was ready on time and was nice and hot. I had made a few mistakes and didnt order trays and tray heaters. The little Marketa helped us with that dillema and helped save the day.
On to the food. Wow!!! We bought five different meats, rice, and beans. Each dish was awesome! ! Everyone mentioned how good the food tasted and i beleive we all went for seconds and thirds throughout the night.
Their prices were competitive if not under the normal prices which was a great bonus.
I will definitely order from them again. If you want a small sample of what they can do, simply go in sit down and order some of their dishes. You wont be disappointed.

I tried the in store restaurant and was not very impressed. The food didn’t have much of a taste and was basic Mexican food. I had the sopes with rice and beans. Their sopes were not what I would call the best.

I’ve been in Plano for 2.5 years and when we moved to town we were told we absolutely had to try the fajita mix, guac and pico. The guac and pico are wonderful, but every time I go in the front of the store is FULL of rotting produce. I mean bananas that are brown and oozing, avocados that look terrible, onions that are moldy (do you know how long it takes an onion to go moldy???). The way I see it, if you keep that kind of food up front where people can see it, I’d hate to see what you put in the food you prepare.

Hands down this is my family’s favorite place to get steak tacos. They also have Mexican Coke. Love that they now have seating.

Stopped in today to check out their small restaurant inside their grocery store. Their Mexican food was delicious. Give it try. I know we will be back. :-)
