I’d gotten my hair cut at another place and was not satisfied so I came here to get it fixed. Hung did a really good job. I was very precise on how I wanted my bangs trimmed and my hair framed for my face shape and he executed perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had my hair cut and colored by Kelly. She was very attentive to what I wanted done! I am extremely happy with the results! And, the prices were great!

Honestly there are better places to get your hair cut than this place. I spent $ 25 dollars for shampoo + haircut while the hairstylist was watching the football game rather than focusing on my hair. I was quoted $ 20 when I called ahead for prices for haircut & style and he misunderstood. He said $ 5 dollars for shampoo (never been to a nice salon that made me pay for shampoo) but I said okay. My friend was with me and she opted out of the shampoo and they just wet her hair. The cut was fine but generic that I could’ve gotten done at any salon. After cut, he just blowdried with his hands and NOT EVEN A BRUSH. He just directed the blowdryer for 3 minutes with his hands and frizzed out my hair. He was about to be done when I told him my hair was still wet and he should blowdry at bit more, he begrudgingly did so for another 3 minutes (while watching the football game). I walked out with wet, frizzy hair. After my friend complained, another hairstylist use an actual brush to blowdry the hair completely (which is the least I wanted) You can go to better places, and walk out with nice dry hair.
Men’s haircut is cheap and nicely done though.

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Tracey always makes me feel more beautiful when I walk out of the salon. I don’t even tell her what style haircut I want. I trust her enough to do what she thinks looks good on me. I’ve never been disapponted. Love her.

Inexpensive place to get your haircut. I’ve had Tina and Thuy cut my hair and both do a great job. They definitely know how to cut Asian hair.

Ask for Cindy! She listens and is very specific about her cuts!

Been here a couple of times. Place is owned by a Vietnamese family. All the employees are Asian. They’ve been open 10 years plus. Lots of regulars. I found this one lady I like to do my hair. Her name is Quyen. She’s pretty good.

My first and my last time here. I just had my worst hair cut in my life, and it only takes 5mins. Don’t know why people would give them 5stars…

Buyer beware!!! I’ve gone here before for haircuts (which to be honest are mediocre at best but cheap) but decided to have Tina touch my roots up instead of going to my usual (but expensive) hair colorist. She put highlights and lowlights in my hair and it turned out ORANGE!!! So not only did she rush me out the door (because she squeezed in two more people after closing) and she apologized for not having time to cut it AND she left it WET!!! She charged me $ 80! I went home and tried blow drying it to see the color (s) and it was HORRIFYING! I could not be seen in public like this so I immediately went and got a box of brown hair color to cover up the mess on my head!
I called the next day to let Tina know I didn’t like it but wanted a refund and they refused to give me one! WTF!!! I told them I took pics and it was a DISASTER! Are you for real? They want me to come back to have it colored AGAIN… I will never be stepping foot in that «salon» again let alone to have it colored HORRIBLY BY THE SAME PERSON!!!

I LOVE TK Hair Salon! I drive ~30 mins. here to get a good quality haircut, and they never fail to meet my expectations.
For Mens haircuts: My brother comes here whenever he is in town to get a haircut. I am very particular about men’s haircuts (I prefer a nice, professional, short haircut.) and every time we go his hair comes out almost perfect. We always try to get Thuy for our men’s haircuts, she’s fast and she cuts VERY well. (I posted photos of her work)
For Womans haircuts: I got my haircut here in September by April; she has the hands of a professional. My hair was exactly how I asked and imagine. I get one haircut a year (I grow it out really long and cut it really short to donate), for the past several years at other salons I’ve had mediocre cuts, but this haircut was exactly what I wanted and more. She took about 30mins on it and she took her time and made sure it looked well with my facial structure as well as what I wanted.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is wanting a good haircut for a great deal. The stylists here know very well what they’re doing, all of them are very well equipped. I would recommend specifically: April, Thuy, or Cindy. But like I said, every stylist there is great! I am definitely coming back, no question about it!

This salon is amazing! Very inexpensive and the quality is great! April is my girl! She has been doing my hair for years and it’s always a perfect 10 when I leave her chair. I’m very picky about my hair, so its hard to find someone who actually listens to what you want versus what they want to do. April is very attentive and gives me the perfect cut every time. I referred her to my fiancé recently and his experience has been just as wonderful!
Actually, everyone at this salon is an expert! Tina, Lily, Cindy, the list goes on! You will be good hands with everyone here.

April saved my boyfriend’s hair from a total trainwreck! He first got his haircut at a shady barbershop and he ended up looking like he got a bowl cut. (Google it).
I looked up salons around Plano, and made an appointment at TK Hair Salon. They were gracious enough to let us book our appointment 30 minutes before they closed. Got there and was super lucky enough to have April as his hairstylist. She spent about 45 minutes on his hair (even though the place closed in 30 minutes) and was extremely meticulous about her work.
Final result? We were SUPER pleased. She managed to transform the bowl cut into a decent, well-​respected, and professional haircut for his job interview the next day!
This happened 2 years ago, and we have been stopping by this salon specifically for April ever since. We pretty much go to her every two months for his haircut. We are extremely thankful for April! She gives you all the personalized attention you need and is extremely careful about her work.
Best of all? Men’s haircuts range from $ 10 — $ 15!!! What a steal. They also give out a stamp card, where after 10 haircuts, you get your 11^th haircut for $ 10 OFF.
We love April! She is also very pretty and kind — what more can you ask for?!
P. S. She is FLUENT in English (American born!), so there certainly won’t be a language barrier hindering you from getting your dream hairstyle!

Been getting my hair cut by April for a few years now and always a great job. Today she wasn’t in so I used one of her Co workers and she did a good job too. Thank goodness too because I have an interview tomorrow. It’s only 13 bucks for a hair cut for men and it’s pretty much in and out. A bit far from richardson but always worth the drive.

After seeing the outstanding job Tina did on my girlfriend’s hair I decided to try her. OMG!!! I love her and how fast she was. I’m so excited I finally found someone that can cut my hair and doesn’t charge and arm and leg! And the best part of it, I can walk there!!!

I’ve been a regular patron of TK’s Hair Salon for the past three years. They do an excellent job of cutting hair (and I’m very picky). As with any salon, I imagine your experience will vary with what stylist you use. Cindy has always cut my hair. She’s fast, gives me the cut that I want and is easy to chat with. I have — and could still — spend hundreds on a good cut but I don’t see the point when I get such excellent service at an unbelievable price.

This place is great — the service is fast and friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and if you are specific about what you want done to your hair, you’ll get what you want. This salon is usually pretty busy — and therefore can be a bit loud and hectic at times, but that comes with the territory. Another great thing about TK salon is that they don’t try to sell you a boatload of hair products with every visit (such as the case with many other hair salons). They will make recommendations if you are interested, but you won’t get the feeling that they’re trying to «up-​sell». I keep coming here again and again!

Excellent service and always with a smile. These ladies work their magic on everyone’s hair. I walked in one day 5yrs ago and have been coming back ever since. Its best to call ahead because they are professionals and in high demand. TK Hair Salon is one of the top places around. You can ask any of the lady customers too, they will emphatically agree.

Great /​quick service … Been getting my hurrrr did here for a few years now by April she’s friendly and very professional… she also helped Kathy at our wedding with her hair and make up… highly recommended! They also have many other stylists here at tk.
It’s a bit far for me since we live in Richardson but its worth it! Solid 4 stars…
