Not sure who decided to lace the entire place with cheap fluorescent lights, but it took the warm atmosphere and turned it into an uncomfortably bright, cheap ambience reminiscent of discount stores. I really used to enjoy the experience of shopping here in contrast with Walmart. Could have easily gone with warm LEDs.

I’ve experienced very uneven service at this location. On occasion it is good but that is the exception. They’ve recently added banks of fluorescent lighting at the entryway which has really downgraded the appearance of the store and made it visually uncomfortable when walking in.

Came in for either mini bagels or bimbo bread. Searched for over 10 minutes. Could not find someone to help me that worked at the store. Finally asked other customers and one took me to the non-intuitive place where they have a very limited selection of bread products. The area was on the far right-hand side of the store and not marked work to be seen from other areas. No bimbo bread sliced white. Only one package of generic mini bagels that was partially opened. Wasting my time and my life. The store was nothing special and certainly nothing worth spending my time to walk away empty-handed. You should have been someone visible that I could have asked.

I came in to kill time before my nail appointment. The store is very clean and organized. They have a good selection of products. The cashiers were friendly and fast.

Tom Thumb has a great bakery, wonderful veg and a good wine selection — better on all accounts than Kroger. I also like their private label selection for frozen foods(pastas, etc). I stop here mainly(and I’m slightly embarrassed to admit this) for my cats’ favorite crunchy dry treats. I always know that I can find them at Tom Thumb, so the store saves me a lot of meowing and cat-induced grief. My one gripe about Tom Thumb — and all Tom Thumbs, really — is that it’s hard to find anything in the store. The aisles aren’t set up logically, so it’s easy to waste a lot of time wandering looking for things.

This is the best place to do your grocery shopping even though they are bit higher in price than most grocery stores. The staff is always willing to help you with a smile on their face. The store is very clean and well organized. The deli section has great cuts of meat. The seafood guy is very personable and has a good knowledge of his product and if u would like to strike up a conversation with him ask him about his sons wrestling.

Been shopping this store for over 12 years, averaging 3 times a week. I;m one of their«preferred» customers. Normally a good experience, but they have always had problems with scheduling checkers. 6:30pm on a Thursday, and only 1 regular and 1 quick checkout open. 6+ in line. Really!!! Checker Robert, for a long time, clearly doesn’t like his job. The guy needs to get a job he likes so he provides a better customer experience. Typically he seems annoyed there are customers he has to deal with. However, Lily, doing the bagging, is very nice, as are the people in the pharmacy. If going here after work, don’t expect to get in and out quickly.

I picked up a 6-pack here on the way home from work and it was very pleasant. Quick in and out, they use your last name to thank you(if you have a rewards card), clean aisles, and fair prices. The Tom Thumb/Randalls/Safeway company has the grocery store down to a science. I know where everything is located and the generic brand is actually very good. Yes, I am a grocery store yuppie. The lady behind me at check-out did have a huge-botox injected face, but that’s just Plano I guess. Pretty funny because it looked like she was smiling at me the whole time, but not really.
