The clothes for women are garrish with huge unbecoming prints, spangles and sparkles. It is a chore trying to find something conservative as well as tasteful. Who exactly does their style of clothing choices cater to anyway?!
Good bedding but many items are way overpriced. Never enough cashiers. The lines are always ridiculously long!

SteinMart is one of those stores that I always forget about. Their clothing selection is more geared towards octogenarians with flare and while I’m sure there’s something in there for me, I I wasn’t in the mood to dig.
However, their houseware section is great and well organized. They have a lot of different options for entertaining and cute gift ideas to give friends who like to entertain. On this visit I was just window shopping but I came across the piece of jewelry I liked and also a pair of sandals that matched. I spent over an hour in the bedding and home department just looking at all the different things to decorate or redecorate the house.
As for pricing, some of it can be a good deal but you really have to do your homework because some of the prices can be higher than a major retail store. Look out for their sales on TV and coupons!

The lines here are always so long. You’d think on a Friday afternoon, they’d have more than one cashier working. It’s like this almost every time I come here. Takes 20 – 30 minutes waiting to check out with one item. They should really consider having more employees on shift.
