Fresh, clean, and creative menu. Lots of vegetarian options too, definitely will be back!

This has become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. While not your typical taqueria, the food is consistently outstanding. I appreciate the high-quality meats and homemade nature of the food. My favorites include the pastor, pork in adobo, and the verde sauce! Good Eatin’!

Excellent little spot. Not much to look at from the outside but the presentation of the food and the food quality was excellent. I had various tacos, tostada de Tinga, and avocado, watercress salad with radishes. All delicious and good quality. A great little restaurant.

Are too fast to take a picture. I’m trying to limit meat from my diet and I wanted Mexican food but didn’t want a plain BCR. To my surprise this place has good options! I ordered 2 potato soft tacos and 1 mushroom. They were bomb! My favorite was the potato so I’ll definitely be returning for that! I took a bite of my boyfriends burrito and was asp yummy. It’s not super cheap Mexican food but honestly I don’t mind because I feel like I’m getting great quality food which is definitely worth it!

I went here a couple days ago for the first time and was extremely disappointed. I had ordered the breakfast burrito and an horchata. The waitress was probably the only good thing about this place. When I started eating the burrito, I realized the red sauce was leaking everywhere and then ended up ruining one of my white shirts! I bleached it and everything and it’s now ruined because this place failed to wrap the burrito more efficiently. It was wrapped in flimsy paper ONCE. It should be wrapped twice at least or wrapped in foil to prevent this from happening! I’m livid about this experience and will not be visiting again.

Hands down the best Mexican food place in the area. As a born and raised Mexican, my standards for Mexican food are high. The quality and flavor of this place is excellent. Oscar, the chef and owner was really nice and helpful on my selections as a first time customer. My place to go from now on.

It’s not your basic taqueria. It’s good quality food, it tastes like no Mexican food I’ve ever had before, and the prices reflect that compared to other Mexican joints in the area. Still, prices aren’t bad(add a couple of bucks). I usually get a steak burrito, and an extra side of homeade potato chips and salsa(doesn’t sound like that would be good, but they’re amazing). They have other gourmet Mexican food options if you’re adventurous, but I’m a creature of habit. Sometimes you want a divey Mexican burrito, but if you’re feeling like you want something with a little more flavor where you can taste the quality, try this place out.

Georgia and her amazing staff catered our party this weekend. Their menu suggestions regarding choices of food and, very importantly, quantity for a group our size, was invaluable. I can’t stop raving about the pork shortribs in pasilla sauce, but the chicken tinga was also addictive. The shrimp salad was so fresh with snappy shrimp and crispy greens with a great cilantro(i think) dressing. And the best part… last night’s leftovers were equally amazing!

Sauteed mushroom burrito was fabulous. Lots of vegetarian options. Wish they had corn tortilla chips though — just my preference.

You will pay $ 2.5 for potato chips that equal to 1⁄8 of a potato. No Refills. They’re good but come on. The chicken taco is HORRIBLE. like, not edible. The pork taco is good and so is the asada but $ 2.75 for tiny street tacos? No thanks

I actually expected this to be either a solid four of five star review, but it’s your basic four star! The parking is a bit lacking, but the selection and pricing inside makes up for it! the staff are friendly enough — though at times it was hard to understand exactly what was in the dishes. Diet soda selections were very week, but they offer great Margaritas! Service time was decent — but don’t expect your entire party to be served at the same time. Biggest disappointment were the homemade chips — really to make it authentic they should have sold tortilla corn chips — better yet — give them for anyone ordering a main entrée!

This is easily a weekly/bi-weekly go-to for us. The menu is gluten free-friendly and somewhat vegetarian friendly. There are not a ton of vegetable options on the menu but it is Mexican food so I feel like that is standard. I don’t think the salsa and chips are worth it. Their salsa is spicy, but thin and the chips are potato. When I eat chips and salsa I want the real deal. But don’t let me stop you if you want to try it. They make their own chorizo which is amazing! It is spicy, but not too spicy. It is usually pretty fresh(I’ve had it where it has been dry but that’s rare). The pork in adobo tacos is where it’s at though. It’s like a Mexican BBQ pork, without the sugary BBQ sauce. AMAZING! Loaded with flavor and there’s nothing else like it that I’ve ever had. Those two tacos are my go-tos. The chicken isn’t very flavorful, we have tried it but haven’t ordered it since. The Niman Ranch Beef is another good, go-to taco if you’re down with the beef. If all you’re having is tacos, 3 per person should fill you up. They also have this special dish, called huarache, which is gluten-free and so filling! If you get this you won’t need anything else. We usually split it and get 1 – 2 tacos each in addition. most of their specials are good, we tried the pork version of posole which was good. If you don’t go inside, you probably won’t know what specials they have, they are not posted online. We have gotten takeout and dined in before. Dining in is tricky as seating is limited. You go up to the counter and order and they give you a number to take to your table. At busy times it’s extremely difficult to find seating. I don’t recommend takeout as the tacos, etc, get cold before you can really get to them. The food is much better, much fresher, much hotter when you eat it in the restaurant.

The service here is very nice, and the restaurant is very clean! We did not have to wait long for our food to be brought out at all. Instead of the regular tortilla chips to eat with the salsa, they served potato chips instead. I was really looking forward to the tortilla chips, but it was still good. My husband and I both got the beef tacos with onions and cilantro. I expected it to be like any other beef taco, but the meat was very lean. This different type of meat made it easier to grab and take a bite. It was not messy eating these tacos at all. Even though the meat was leaner, it was still pretty tasty. I wouldn’t call this place 100% authentic Mexican food, but it was still very good! Update: I went back and got the same thing, beef tacos. I’m starting to love this place more and more. Since the beef is lean, the tacos taste so healthy! You won’t feel guilty eating these at all! I almost prefer to eat these, rather than the regular street tacos.

Food is good, but on the expensive side, customer service sucks! Agua de Jamaica is $ 3.25 for a 16 oz cup, filled halfway with ice. I can’t complain about their Mole, its great! But prices and customer service makes me not want to come back. A great restaurant is made out of great customer service, specially with good food like this place has, but what a disappointment.

I was craving for some Mexican food but didn’t feel like driving all the way to my usual spot because my boyfriend and I were running out of time before he had to go back home so I searched on Unilocal and this was the nearest spot. The parking lot is cramp so if you’re a big group, you might want to think about carpooling. This place was spotless and looked very well kept which is unusual for hole in the wall taqueria’s which I then realized(after dining) that this isn’t your typical taqueria. Once you get to the register, you’ll see some specials and a little to go menu. I didn’t see a formal one so if you don’t know what you’re going to get, snag the To Go menu and step aside. Service was welcoming, friendly and prompt. I decided to order their torta with chicken(roasted all-natural chicken) $ 8.95 and my boyfriend ordered their chicken burrito $ 8.95. Pleasantly surprised that they use Mary’s chicken, big thumbs up! Our food took kind of long, not that many people but I didn’t mind too much, just wish they provided chips to munch on. Torta was tasty at first but then started to become bland, even the sauce they provided couldn’t bring it back. Their«chips» aren’t the usual either, they were kettle cooked potato chips which were tasty, just wish I had some verde sauce to dip them in. I grew up on monument and I’ve had tortas since I was 4 so I know how a good torta tastes like and this spot just didn’t bring it home for me. Even tho they use all natural chicken, I wouldn’t pay $ 8.95 for a torta when the most delicious ones are $ 5 – 6 tops. TORTA: 2⁄5CHIPS: 5⁄5 Overall, my experience wasn’t bad but the food just didn’t cut it for me. They definitely bring in customers by the presentation of their food, uncommon Mexican ingredients and friendly customer service. Great spot for health conscious folks tho!

A group of five coworkers and myself came here for lunch on a workday. We called ahead, and they set aside a bench table for us. Ordering was a cinch at the counter and as soon as I sat down at the table, my bottle of Diet Coke was already there. They do not provide a glass or ice for the soda, but are happy to if you ask. The owner, Georgia, was not on site, but she had given my coworker a business card with a handwritten 15% discount. When my coworker presented this to the cashier, she seemed confused and unwilling to process the discount. She told my coworker that for her transaction it was already too late(true, because she was printing the credit card receipt as she said so), but the other five of us could have had the discount as we had not ordered or paid yet. As far as I know, the discount was not applied. My total for a shrimp taco, chorizo taco, side of rice, and diet coke came to $ 12.66. The cashier seemed kind of flat in friendliness, but the manager on staff and others were friendly. Halfway through our meal, the cashier offered us a free dessert of our choosing, and we opted for the cheesecake. The quality of the food is good; however, it is rather sparse and fairly pricey for Mexican food. My shrimp taco, for example, cost $ 3 and change, and contained two medium sized shrimp. Both tacos had a very small sprinkling of onions and cilantro, despite being asked specifically by the cashier whether I would want onions and cilantro on them. Potato chips were incredible. I could eat two baskets of these, easy. They came with a red sauce(quite spicy) and a green sauce(mild and creamy). Shrimp tacos — Underwhelming in shrimp content. Chorizo tacos — house made chorizo, mild in flavor and not swimming in grease. I wish there were more greens(onions, cilantro) to balance out the meat. Spanish rice — still had a very small bit of a bite to the grains, but well seasoned. Cheesecake(choice of strawberry, mango, or guava topping) — fluffy and light but the crust was not very crispy. It was bland without the fruit topping, but I would rather it be bland than overly sweet/rich. If you’re looking for healthy Mexican with interesting options beyond what your basic taqueria might offer(such as albondigas soup or empanadas), El Aguila is a good bet.

An all-around solid restaurant. Food was great. I had the chicken mole poblano — delectable — and my friend had the tacos — also tasty. The horchata was also pretty good! The menu felt authentic and extensive, so there’s definitely opportunity to frequent this place multiple times.

The food is awesome! If you’re looking for good authentic Mexican food this is the place. I ordered the chicken torta and the tinga tostada. Both were delicious. My girlfriend ordered the empanadas and chorizo taco and she loved them both. We’re already planning our next visit.

POTATO chips and salsa? Welcome to El Aguila! I visited for a Friday lunch with friends, parking was a challenge but the restaurant was only about half full but bustling. Two soft tacos with their homemade corn tortillas, one roast chicken and one tiger prawns, plus a bottle of Mexican Coke and their infamous chips made for a killer lunch! Only 3 shrimp in the taco, but they had nice flavor from the griddle, and the chicken was generous and juicy. And who doesn’t love a fresh street taco topped with onions and cilantro? It’s awesome to enjoy a hot meal that’s also refreshing! And speaking of hot — wow, that salsa! It doesn’t look like a standard tomato salsa so I can’t offer much insight into what the ingredients are, but it tastes nice and it packs a wallop. Their potato chips were so good on their own, fresh and lightly fried and finger-lickin’ salty good, but a drizzle of the salsa onto my chicken taco was the perfect final flourish. A squeeze from a lime wedge completed the shrimp taco. Tasty eats, and not your typical taqueria food — definitely a notch above! It also must be noted, the kitchen was very open and I was dazzled by how sparkling clean it was. Along with the brightly colored paint on the walls and the flower-filled pottery on every table, it was like dining inside a sunbeam! Definitely add El Aguila to your taqueria rotation, I know I will be!
