Terrific service!
On the day after Christmas, no less. This was a spur of the moment stop for me. In my own more urban area I would never shop the after Christmas sales, as I get tired and frustrated too quickly dealing with crowds. But I was passing by and decided to stop in. CC carries dress pants I really like, but which are too expensive for me to indulge in at full price. I have never shopped a CC outlet before. The store was as big as one of their regular stores.
I certainly found what I came for, and more. The staff was extremely helpful, getting me alternate sizes to try on, so I didn’t need to dress to go in search of them. It seemed like there were 2 women staff just posted to that task, back in the fitting room area. They were so fast and efficient. (I was helped by someone named … Leona? Leonora? I know I’ve got it wrong, but it began with «Leo…»). She told me they could order 2 items I liked, which they had no stock for in my size at that store, from another store, and have it shipped for free right to my home.
When the time came to check out, in addition to the items I was buying right then, the clerk (manager?) located those items and arranged everything.
I was very impressed. One of the busiest shopping days of the year, and everyone was so courteous and efficient.

If you’re a fan of Coldwater Creek stores, this is a must-​visit if you’re willing to make the trek north from Chicago or south from Milwaukee. As one of the few (8 or so?) CC outlet stores in the US, this location gets stock or slow sellers from all over the midwest and central states or from the on-​line store. The prices are less than you’ll pay in the retail stores and if you’re there at the right time of the season, less than you’ll pay for clearance items at the retail level.
The one down side happens during the sale periods — the fitting rooms are crazy busy and you’ll be waiting in line for quite some time either to try things on or check out. Get there early on sale days and you’ll avoid that.
CC outlet is part of the Prime Outlet mall in this southern Wisconsin community so if you strike-​out at Coldwater Creek you’ll have lots of other stores to check out.
