Fairlands Park is a small strip of green that runs behind a many houses in this neighborhood. But don’t let the map fool you: the grassy areas are wide enough to play catch with your dog, or hold an impromptu soccer match. Tennis courts are usually empty, so just grab your stuff and head to the park — no need to worry about when is the best time to go. For those who aren’t athletically inclined, this park’s shape also lends itself to walking and running. It’s especially nice during the summer: after dinner, the temperature is cool enough to have a pleasant walk in the park while enjoying the sunset.

A beautiful park hidden among the backyards of this Pleasanton residential area. It’s very spacious and quiet, where you can often see friendly neighbors jogging in the late afternoon or walking their dogs. It technically begins at Gulfstream St. and snakes its way through the neighborhood to Fairlands Elementary. Along the way, you’ll pass by 2 tennis courts, a neighborhood swimming pool, and a small playground. Whenever I need a refresher, I love to bike/jog through here!
