Gamma Salon

I would give zero to negative stars, but it not possible to do that. I made appointments twice online. No one ever contacted me to confirm them. The first time, I was cancelled a day prior and I had made an appointment a week prior. He never asked me if I would like to reschedule. I decided to give this salon another chance since I like Keratasse products and they sell them there. The second time I a scheduled an appointment on their website. No one ever called me to confirm the appointment I made a week ago. So, I go there Saturday morning for the appointment, not open and no one there until 10:15 am. Finally, someone opens the door and has me wait for another person «Armand». I waited for 15 minutes (my appointment was for 10:100 am) and left at 10:25 because no one was there. What a waste of time!!! I’ll never try to go to this salon again!!! I’ll go somewhere where they appreciate and communicate with their customers.

I loved this salon! Both my dad and I used to go here for our regular hair cuts and my occasional stylings and Milada was always so punctual and accommodating. She always gave us what we wanted and she’s one of the few stylists I’ve had who can successfully straighten my hair and make it look really nice when most struggle with that haha
Because my hair requires so much maintenance the appointments were adding up. That’s the only reason I don’t go there anymore. I definitely recommend this salon!

I had my hair done by ASHLEY TAYLOR. She is great, knows what looks good and will always be honest with you. She did my extensions and my ombré. LOVE love love it. Definitely see her If you are in need of a new stylist!

I have followed my stylist Ashley from her former location to her new one. She is amazing and this location and salon are so great. It’s nice and clean and she gets more hours! She really knows how to deal with my curly hair.

Ashley Taylor is the BEST! Shes been doing my hair for the last few years and Ive never been so happy. She gives me the perfect blonde hair Ive always wanted, she has never fried or damaged it. Ive tried many stylists, they dont hold a candle to Ashley.
Gamma Salon is beautiful, elegant, serene, and very clean. They carry high end products there, I was in Kerastase heaven. I purchased a Kerastase masque, the box was a little damaged which I didnt mind, and Arman the owner gave me a discount because of it. I thought that was very kind and generous, I will definitely buy more products there because of the wonderful customer service he gave.

Ashley Taylor is an amazing stylist. Her knowledge, professionalism and talent will put you at ease immediately. She is the type of stylist you can trust, sit in her chair and watch her work her magic. I can’t say enough about Ashley’s work. I can’t live without her!

I’ve been coming to Armen for years. I have the horrible habit of waiting last minute for an appointment and will walk into other salons for a quick trim and have always regretted it. Armen is up to date on latest trends and techniques. His cuts are always consistent and recently he colored my hair. One word, «Amazing!» His layers are superb and using the best products and technique for coloring, Armen is simply the best! I’m extremely picky about my layers so my test is how the hair grows out… ladies and gentlemen, be prepared for awesomeness. If there were six stars, seven stars, ten stars… A million, this is how I’d rate Gamma and Armen.
I’ve read other reviews and will say this. If you know what you want, say it and if you aren’t certain, say so. He’d rather his client be happy then walk away dissatisfied. Stylists are not mind readers. If I want a new look, I bring him examples and I tell him exactly what I want. He aims to please and this is what I love about him. He takes the time and will never double book or even step away to answer the phone because he devotes his attention to his client.

Yea… NO! Way too expensive for not even a cut but a trim… I paid $ 50 for a haircut when all he did was use clippers on my sides… I could’ve done that at home for FREE! Rip off!

Yes — this place is 5 STAR. The ambiance, location, products, and stylists welcome you to an incredible experience. My stylist is Milada and she has proven to be very patient, determined and dedicated to achieve my possibly unrealistic hair requests. I have high maintenance hair and Milada goes above and beyond to make sure the outcome exceeds my expectations. She is a pleasure to work with and I feel very thankful to be her client. If you are looking for the absolute best, call Gamma.
P. S. I brought my 3 year old son in for a haircut and she did a fabulous job and he continues to get compliments on such a beautiful hair cut (especially for a 3 year old boy!)

Finally! A great hair cut!
I’ve had trouble finding someone who can cut my hair well and Armen gave me the best hair cut I’ve ever had. He listened to what I wanted and delivered perfectly.

I came here with a Groupon which included shampoo, deep conditioning treatment, cut and style/​blow dry and a $ 20 gift card for future services.
Let’s just say, I was less than impressed. I HATE spending $ 65 for a hair cut and I am new to the East Bay, so those are the reasons why I got the Groupon. My hair style is pretty straightforward (long, straight, no layers), so it’s hard to screw it up. But I do get very excited to have a professional blow out my hair because it always looks so thick and shiny when they do it. She (can’t remember her name now) did not do a good job at all. It looks better when I do it myself! Also, the deep conditioning treatment came in this tiny little bottle that she pumped into her hands and rubbed in my hair. It looked runny… like a shine mist or something. She said my hair would be soft but it didn’t moisturize my hair at all. It felt the same as when I walked in.
The salon is beautiful and in a nice location. But I will probably never go back because even at the discounted rate, I still think it was sort of a rip off. I am still on the hunt for a decent, inexpensive salon.

Been to Gamma three times for a haircut. The place is spotless and very relaxing. First thing you notice is how all the hair supplies are in order and things like hair dryers are tucked away and only brought out when needed. Armen has cut my hair on all my visits. He does a great job, takes his time and is very friendly.
I went in with a bad haircut I had gotten at a cheaper salon and he was able to fix it with a great cut. I highly recommend Gamma Salon.

Getting an appointment was so easy. Got a call from Armen letting me know the availability which I wasn’t able to make that day because I had to work. He let me know that there was an opening on Saturday so I took it. He was very friendly on the phone and I got a call back very quick!
Monica cut my hair today, she is very nice and friendly. Did exactly what I wanted with my hair and I love it! :) She kept my length about the same so that way I could straighten and curl.
Also, the salon looks great and very clean! I will be coming back :)

Armen is my uncle and so my review may seem biased, but at the same time I dont trust anyone with my hair except for him. Not only is he a master and artist in his profession, but he is courteous, amiable, attentive, stylish, has a fantastic sense of humor, and is just a magnificent human being. He has been styling hair ever since I can remember and is absolutely amazing at it. A couple of times I had my hair styled by other people, and each time I regretted it. The only person whom I trust with my thick, unruly, Armenian hair is my uncle.
I am so proud of him, and he has come a long way in his profession. His new salon is so sleek and stylish, it puts a huge smile on my face just walking in. I feel like I just walked into a fashion runway show. There is plenty of parking and a wonderful lounge and waiting area with a choice of delicious and soothing tea and sweet treats. When you come here you get treated as if you were visiting family. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful uncle and hair stylist in my family!
You will not be disappointed, so take the time to treat yourself to a haircut and treatment. You will leave with a huge smile on your face, no doubt!

So I saw the same deal that I believe Betty H. saw… and since it had a bunch of great reviews, i thought why not?!
ok, It took me forever to actually get an appointment, i love to procrastinate… but finally went this sunday…
Armen greeted me at the front. Brilliant. I went on a Sunday, one of this last appointments, so the place was peaceful. and the ac was blasting, which was good, cause it was hot outside! The Salon was so clean, i didnt even see any hair or anything on the floor. it was brightly lit. very upscale with the comfy chairs!
ok so onto the hair…
so the usual, hair wash, cut then style. the wash even came with a mini scalp massage! whoo!!!
and then cut, Armen listened very carefully to what i wanted, and after snipping away quickly, but obviously precisely… my hair came out to pretty much what i wanted. Not too much shorter than what i have now, more volume, layers. the only thing i wished for was my bangs to be a little more dramatic, ill make sure to tell him next time.
and then he styled it quickly, making my hair feel soft and lucious! oh man! i couldnt stop touching my hair. lol.
all in all, he did a great job! I will be back! =] about… 3 months from now. or well ill try, u know i lag. lol! woot!!! Thanks Armen!
