Don’t understand all the 5 star reviews. This is a store full of cheaply made items sold inexpensively. The inventory is similar to what you’d find at Tuesday Morning or Big Lots or even the Dollar(99) Store but not as large. This store seems rather random in this location – I’ve stopped here numerous times and have never been inspired to make a purchase. You can find better deals elsewhere IMHO

Rick’s Picks has added custom furniture at great prices. I am so delighted with my new couch! Also made in the USA… very important to me. The Staff is Professional, Helpful & Amazing. The accessories are to die for… I have redecorated my entire living room(UNDERBUDGET!). These two shops are a hidden treasure… Thanks Rick for delivering my beautiful couch… Sincerely, Loretta… P. S. Both the Danville & Pleasanton Shops have great Selections & Employees… I rate both Shops 5 Stars!

This place is a little gem nestled into downtown Danville. Lots of useful«I need that» and plenty of «now that’s cute for» such-and-such. This is a go to for Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts, great for kid’s stockings for Christmas, and the«oh, I forgot to get a gift for the birthday party»… Some products can be a little expensive(there is a high rent/utilities to be paid in Danville), but also some very inexpensive finds. The merchandise is NOT picked over like a discount store, and the associates will work on prices; I don’t want to barter, that feels cheap, but if I see something and point out the price, then they are willing to negotiate – meaning broken packaging or the mate seems to be missing. Thank you! And I can’t wait for our next trip/find!

Rick’s picks has it all here. Great quality stuff for a great price. Whether you need some toys, home décor, or wine, they have it all! The pricing here is very reasonable and the staff here is excellent! The owner Rick is also a very good guy who does great business. Plus there is a fine filipino girl that works there! :)

We were in California on business and visited the store in Pleasanton. Very friendly staff, excellent selection of merchandise. Purchased items for granddaughters Christmas gifts and had them shipped back to Texas since we were flying back with limited luggage space. Highly recommend this place and will visit again.

Great store with amazing deals. Love the pashminas and the handbags. Also great candle selection and interesting and quirky kitchen items. Sometimes they even have specials on furniture. If I’m ever in Danville I stop in. Especially when I am in need of gifts for other people. It really has everything and anything you could think of. Seasonal stuff is great too! I’ve bought some wonderful Halloween and Christmas items that everyone loves. Also everyone in the store is friendly. The manager Patricia is awesome and Rick(the owner) is really friendly also. Whenever I walk in I’m greeted with a smile and I love the vibe of the store. Overall great place to find high quality goods at a bargain! Also love the pleasanton store! Stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

Rick, knows how to pick! Boy, do I wish I had discovered this place sooner. Coming back from an appointment in SanRamon, I decided to stop by Danville to check out another home décor shop that I had recently bookmarked. After a few minutes of driving around until I found a place to park, I stumbled upon this place by complete accident, and I am ever so glad I did. Located in the Hartz of Danville, this place is commingled amongst a handful of other cutesy shops and restaurants. The exterior of the shop appears to be more low key compared to nearby shops, but don’t let that fool you! This place is a hidden gem with mountains of incredible treasures. I was in complete awe when I walked in. I felt as if I had walked into a high end boutique disguised as a modest, non pretentious, welcoming store– with mostly higher end appearing items, yet only to be equipped with some quite reasonable prices. The theme throughout my house is catered to more of a French, vintage, yet modern chic interior, and this place is equipped to the rim with similar items which are all very unique and non cookie cutter. They also have a handful of bathroom and kitchen knick knacks as well as other home necessities. I got a really cool, french, vintage style, candle lantern for a great price. The service was also extremely warm, and welcoming. I felt right at home :) This really is a great place. Great unique items, reasonable prices, and really warm friendly owners. I absolutely can’t wait to come back!

I will never visit Rick’s Pick’s ever again! The 99 Cent store has better quality items than this home good store. I will stick with HomeGoods and TJ Maxx for my house hold items. The worst part about my visit is that the owner Rick, would not stop hitting on my 21 year old sister. Like come on buddy, just because you see an attractive young girl doesn’t mean you act like a dog and hit on her.

Just discovered Ricks Picks in Danville! Since I usually frequent the Pleasanton shop I was thrilled to hunt on new turff. It was smaller in size but mighty in selection with a really friendy staff! They actually helped me put together a décor story by calling Pleasanton and helping me merge both store items for my room display! Rick’s carry alot of the decorator«Creative Co-op» which is one of my top brands! Great job in Danville and now I have two destinations for my treasure hunt! LOVE!

I love Rick’s Picks in downtown Danville! I’m a fan for these reasons: It’s a small business in a lively downtown location. The random assortment of merchandise is fun to look at and explore((always find a few interesting things that I can afford). You can park in back for a good long time, unlike Hartz Ave… Favorite things to get there: greeting cards for $ 1, soaps and soy candles, home décor(lots of cool import items), pashmina’s, kitchen/bar gadgets.

I love the ever changing inventory! You really never know what you’ll find and there are always terrific finds. It’s my automatic go-to when I’m looking for just the right thing. It’s by far my favorite place for Christmas decorating items! Gifts too!

Rick’s Picks is one of those places that has mostly really nice stuff that works for gifts and also for doing something nice for one’s own home. I find things on my list there, from kitchenware(one of my weaknesses) to curtains and bedding to seasonal stuff(bbq, hammocks), music, magnetic poetry, purses, reusable shopping bags, etc. Stagers shop here. There’s also a pet section, and if I bring my dog in there, he takes me to the pet corner and noses through the chewies. :-) Rick’s Picks is where I start if there’s something I’m looking for. The pots and pans are beautiful, and would make a great wedding or a very nice housewarming gift. Like other people have said, it’s like Tuesday Morning, only better(but Tuesday Morning has really gone down in the last couple of years), or Ross, only better. Thanks, Rick! and Jess! You have good taste.

I love you, Rick’s Picks! We were on a Danville«promenade» and several of my old faves either did not produce, or were gone… but you saved the day! $ 11 bucks for a cool décor item… that is a good as it gets! This store has better merchandise than the one in downtown«P» town… there were several things that I considered before making my selection. I would most definitely come back for décor, sheets, candles, kitchen and paper products!

So, this is a local little shop that is not as daunting as Tuesday Morning or any of those other types of stores. Random things that change-holiday stuff, kitchen stuff, candles, vases, lamps, pictures, baby clothes, toys… I have found some things here and I have never spent more than $ 10.00. Today, I bought a metal slotted spoon(I needed another one for latkes), a snowman type wooden thing for the front door and a little writing book for my daughter. This is not the kind of store I can go into frequently as I have no patience to look at the stuff. It is more organized than expected, but I figure that is because it is in Downtown Danville.
