My father and I go here fairly frequently as he lives nearby. We usually go during the week as it can be busy on the weekends with people staying at the hotel. During the week most of the people are locals so you never know when you see neighbors. Molly is the best server they have. Very attentive and wants to be sure you are happy with what you order. I always find it amazing when I go into a restaurant and the hostess station is empty — this seems to happen quite a bit here. But, the servers jump in and seat you fairly quickly. It is an older place designed to be more colonial to fit the area. They do have a huge fireplace which for the holidays is beautifully decorated. The menu is plentiful, but to be honest I have only had breakfast here and not lunch or dinner. I have had a few of the breakfast items and they are always served the way I request. The coffee is hot and they normally bring two urns and leave them on the table — works out perfectly. My dad sometimes gets the corned beef hash which he really enjoys; the oatmeal which he likes because it tastes like homemade; or the eggs and meat always cooked the way he likes. I have had the baby bella veggie omelette wrap which is filling and good; cape cod bagel sandwich; or the continental(the granola is delicious). Believe me if my father was not happy we would not go back as we go out to breakfast a lot and some places have been crossed off his list.

Worst Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Eggs were over cooked and there was almost no hollandaise sauce(Really needed it for the dry eggs). Good for tourists that are trapped at the hotel lobby it is in. But for locals, or people with access to a car. .. go somewhere else. And good luck finding a parking spot in the summer.

My Mom loves Hearth and Kettle so we go fairly frequently. The timing is key-brunch or lunch rush and it gets really busy, but when we went last week around 2 we were the only table in the entire My mom ordered a sandwich and asked for a few accommodations due to some health restraints and they were more than willing to accommodate. I had the jumbo clam strips. Don’t think I’d order them again as they were very chewy. The service was good but odd to be the only ones there!

I think it was much better years ago, did not care for it at all this time, had the meatloaf and it was not so great,

Met our cousins for breakfast on Sun 6⁄28. Seated immediately, coffee never stopped coming and food was good! I can’t remember what everyone else had but I had the chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, OJ and coffee. Nice family place to go for breakfast!

Easter Dinner =Horrible! Worst Buffet ever. I have worked in the food industry for years and I am not critical. I signed up to Unilocal just to leave this review. We made reservations for my family my mom asked about the advertised«chocolate fountain», well that’s broken. We then get in line for food, «fresh pastry», no way, rolls and pastry wrapped in plastic is better. First choice was old scrambled eggs, or scrambled eggs with mushrooms mixed in. Sausage swimming in grease, cold hard French toast, cold rice, cold fish, sliced chicken breast with cold congealed gravy on top. My Dad said the Bacon tasted fine and that’s all he ate! There was a Carving station they had pressed ham and lamb. I did not take ham but did take the lamb it was overcooked. I get to the table my moms face was priceless while she is trying to eat her food and chew the lamb. I then went back to buffet to let help know the sterno was not lit and food was cold. I then tell waitress about food the manager shows up and tells us that we can order some thing off menu, which we don’t. We all ended up leaving and going to Brazilian Grill and that was fantastic.

Historic atmosphere, friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. Cold out this beginning of March, the warm fire was great. My husband says the French toast was awesome.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and went to this restaurant several times. The food is ok. A bit pricey for the quality in my opinion and service is inconsistent at best. If I had my choice, I would have eaten elsewhere!

Staying at the hotel so we decided to have dinner and breakfast at the H n K. Dinner was great! I had the turkey dinner(waitress recommended) and it was amazing! The sweet potatoes were super delicious — sweet but not too sweet. Turkey was juicy and the stuffing savory. I had wine with dinner: the Canyon Road California Merlot(red). Probably one of the best wines I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a lot!) Our server was attentive, funny, and accommodating. She knew her stuff! My family of five seasoned restaurant goers gave this place two thumbs up for dinner. Breakfast was okay(service was great), a bit pricey, but worth it if you don’t want to go elsewhere.

Stopped by on recommendations on Find Me Gluten Free App. All was excellent. The cranberry oatmeal pancakes were the most amazing GF pancakes I have eaten –light, tasty but doesn’t fall apart after butter and syrup are added. The coffee was nice and tasty, not too strong. My husband had the roast beef hash as a side dish and wants to order it as a main meal next time. The Irish Benedict was extremely tasty. The service was a little slow but the server was very nice and asked the chef about the pancake recipe for me. Really look forward to eating there again.

I love hearth and kettle! They have great organic choices… the service is always good. The food is always good! My favorites are the broiled salmon dinners, spinach salads and the breakfasts!

SCAMARTISTS!, please read before you go ~ I was taken to the hearth and kettle about a week ago by my mother. Had no idea i was going until she drove into the parking lot and said«im going to buy you breakfast». she was happy but i did have to tell her im not a fan of this place at all. We ended up going inside and got tables quickly enough, i believe it was around 1 pm, The waitress took our orders but didn’t seem to have much of a personality about her. we waited a short time, the waitress said nothing and just put our food in front of us. The food was ok and prices were around 10 bucks each, nothing original about it, so id give it a 6⁄10. During our meal we never saw the waitress again at all, she went in the backroom and never came back out, wished she did because our sodas we had tasted bad! We finish our meals and now are waiting almost 20 minutes for the waitress to come back so we can pay. She starts walking to other tables and not once glances in our direction. When she finally came back and said«heres your check ill just leave it with you» we said«oh, no you can take it now». She then goes to more tables and we keeps waiting on people… Finally she goes to the register and comes back with our receipts to sign, doesn’t say anything just puts down receipts and quickly walks away. Are you Serious! We received 3 receipts??? She scanned not only my meal but another family’s next to ours, our meal was only 20 dollars and the other persons was over 50! we knew because the credit card we used was marked on both receipts. we did not sign them. We talked to a supervisor about the lack of service and bad sodas we got and then the receipts. She was apologetic and said she would take 50% off our bill and that the 50 dollar one would not go threw. we didnt want the 50% off, just wanted the money back that was stolen. She assured us it wouldn’t go threw on the 50+ dollar one. Of coarse the next day it showed up on our online bank statement.
My mother then had to call the Bank who said to call back Hearth and Kettle and have them call the bank, we called them and they did so that was taken care of(only A+ for them). what irritated the hell out of me was that the girl at the hearth and kettle supervisor over the phone kept saying the waitress we had never did that before, shes great, feels so bad she did that, but the kicker was when she kept saying it was a mistake/accident over and over again. Now here is the thing I understand if someone makes a mistake i really do. But this was intentional! I would understand if you scanned the same credit card twice on different customers bills, ok i get that. I would understand if you gave me my receipt and someone elses by mistake. But it is not a mistake to Scan two different customers meals with only one customers credit card and then proceed to hand me both reciepts to sign! she knew she made the mistake and thought she could drop off both receipts and hopefully they would both be signed rather than fixing the problem. Remember how i said she gave up 3 receipts back? That’s because our meals had the one we take home and the one we sign. And we got the other customers bill receipt in which you sign but not the one you take home with you, that one went to the other customer. After this no integrity scam taking place at hearth and kettle and the supervisor/manager not really caring one bit about the customer to say the person did wrong(im assuming its a personal friend of theirs) and telling us the Scan of our credit card would not go threw even though it did, Im staying clear away from this place from now on!!! I dont really care for the food that much anyway but the BS artists with the fake smiles has clearly killed this places credibility. Over the last 5 years I haven’t heard much good from anyone about this place anyhow and for good reason, the service beyond stinks. in short, STAYAWAY there are many other way better choices to enjoy and eat breakfast in Plymouth. April 2014, Also read the other reviewers, Food poisoning, the Staff care little for you, And another person that was also scammed on the bill. So this is not just a one time thing. A once pretty good place to eat is now probably one of the worst places to go in Plymouth.

This review is specifically about the Thanksgiving dinner. We had made a reservation here as we were looking to enjoy a dinner where nobody had to cook. It looks like I’ll go back to cooking. The food was less than impressive, and most of it came out lukewarm. The corn chowder, definitely wasn’t hot. And the turkey didn’t appear to be freshly carved, but like it came from the deli. I can only think that with the amount of people they were serving, the quality really suffered and that it was just more about quantity than anything else. I definitely felt like they were really trying to feed as many people as possible. And if looked like they used every conference/ballroom in the hotel to pack in as many people as they could. Perhaps serving less people would have allowed the food to be better. They did give us turkey sandwiches to take home, but after my mother reported that hers tasted like it had gone back days before, my husband and I didn’t even bother to try ours. It’s too bad because I think they really could have put together a nice meal if they hadn’t been trying to feed so many people. The one positive was our waitress. Although you could tell that she was running around crazy to wait on everyone, she never once lost her cool or her pleasant demeanor.

No complaints about anything we’ve ever ordered — You must order their warm Indian Pudding, served with a small scoop of French Vanilla ice cream for dessert — YUM!

We had lunch here yesterday and it was good. We arrived well after the lunch hour(after 1pm), but the staff was friendly and attentive. We received our appetizer in record time and it was very good. Our food was good as well — I really loved the sweet potato fries that I ordered to go with my chicken caesar wrap. My husband had a burger, which he liked, and our kids enjoyed their pizza and chicken fingers. A solid four star rating.

Hearth N Kettle was a last minute decision and a good one at that. I had passed it many times before but never had the chance to stop in. It was a little less than an hour before closing, but still the staff was incredibly welcoming and diligent. We were seated in a little alcove with nice paintings of local destinations on the walls and our waitress greeted us quickly and warmly. We had mozzerella sticks to start with and I had the tortellini primavera. It was fantastic! Fresh mushrooms, onions, spinach, peppers and tomatoes in a white sauce over cheese tortellinis served with a warm dinner roll. The portion was quite generous, I had enough to take home and eat for lunch the next day. The only things holding me back from giving this 5 would be the seating, the temp and the dinner menu. The seats are hard wooden pub seats, it was incredibly cold in there, and the dinner menu was a bit sparse(mainly fish). I’d definitely go back. Perhaps it was just the section we were sitting in and I could always try breakfast!
