My favorite winery in Amador! Their Mourvèdre is incredible! They have a very beautiful winemaker too who will educate you in the fine art of making quality Rhone Varietals!

Great red wines and great family story. Not the most impressive tasting room but worth your time. Go visit Harold!

TKC is all about the wine with no fuss or fancy. Really, you will taste in their underground base of operations in front of the fermentation vats and next to the aging wine barrels. Even the exterior is all business, but this makes for a very unique experience in the overall touristy area. You may get a little lost off Bell Road since signage is a little small, but you will be rewarded with great wine. I had a full tasting and was the first visitor of the day. This meant I was also the first one to cut the cheese! Their focus is mainly on Rhone-style wines with a few notable exceptions. They have several blends which is nice to see and really shows off the talent of the winemaker. Plus, their dog is very nice and friendly! The bare bones experience and very good wine are a great combination and really needed in the age of limo tours and wine slushie machines. Great experience in an unexpected place.

Absolutely delicious! This is the type of tasting room that I like to visit. There is nothing touristy about it — it is simple and understated. And the wine? So good! I was bummed that we missed the dog — he was apparently on his lunch break. I really enjoyed tasting everything, although it was a bit too pricey for my current budget. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that expensive, it’s just that I had vowed to not spend more than $ 20 /bottle for wine that day. We were hitting a lot of wineries! The woman working in the tasting room was very nice. I would def come back here again.

A great little find. A campy tasting room that includes the aroma of wine laden wooden barrels ended up with some of the most aged wines. Don’t let the PortaPottie scare you.

The wines were phenomenal. I joined the club, though I regret it now. They do not have a wine members party, so that stinks. I loved the wines; they all had very unique boutique characteristics, which I really appreciate.

Thanks«K» for welcoming us(and Angel too) and bringing out cheese and chocolate. I am not the wine connoisseur. I’m still learning especially the reds. Even though i didn’t buy a bottle of wine here, I was glad that others in our large group did buy bottles of wine here.
