Went on 2÷27÷16 and purchased a lobster roll. ITWASFANTASTIC! The staff was friendly and made conversation. The lobster roll was so big I had to hold it with two hands. I couldn’t fit my mouth around it! It seemed like it had a whole lobster on the roll. I will be back!

Great seafood market. Very reasonable pricing for lobster, shellfish and all seafood. Extremely fresh and good variety, but they only sell high quality fish, so the selection can change. Get the lobster culls(1 arm lobster) for best value.

Locals favorite! It’s usually packed in the summer and we often bring a bottle of wine and sit outside on the tables. This is nothing fancy– you order inside and sit outside but it is the best lobster role around. They also have amazing soups!

Finally a quality Lobster Roll in NJ. One day I got an email from Unilocal with some local Jersey seafood places. Having been quite disappointed with past selections at the Jersey shore I was a bit skeptical but decided to try anyway. First I need to explain that this a seafood market that will prepare food for you to eat at picnic tables outside so don’t put on your Sunday best and head there for dinner or you will look foolish. Instead put on shorts and flip-flops and enjoy better food than you can get at most fancy shore rip off restaurants. My wife, 2 kids and I all got the Lobster Roll and it was great. Just fresh lobster drenched in butter on a potato roll, the way God intended. Simply amazing. This place is so good we now drive from Morris county down just to eat there. I would highly recommend them. Enjoy!

Great dive restaurant off the beaten path. Didn’t really know what to expect, but the picnic benches out front were fitting. We walked in and ordered their lobsters and fries. They literally grabbed a lobster from right in front of us and steamed it. It was delicious. Would love to go back next time I’m in town!

This is an epic lobster roll that they serve at Point Lobster Company! I have had my fair share of lobster rolls from all over, and have even had them in New England(well, Noank, CT), but Point Lobster’s is by far the most impressive yet. The sheer girth(does that seem crass?), is quite formidable! The large chunks of lobster meat is delicately seasoned and packed into the buttered bread like you’ve never seen before. Squeeze some fresh lemon on it, and you have yourself the most incredible lobster roll of your life! The only thing that I wasn’t too crazy about is the amount of butter on the bread, which was a little overwhelming, that at times, it would over-power the sweet and delicate taste of the lobster meat. I found myself having to constantly squeeze the little bit of life out of my lemon wedge onto my sandwich to cut the grease from the butter. Also, the fries could probably be a little better than average, maybe with a little more seasoning or crisper texture. Love that they accept credit card(lobster roll + fries will run you $ 18.00), and that there is outdoor seating(perfect for the warmer months), or you can do like we did and avoid the chill when the temps dip down and sit in your car in their parking lot as you devour your meal in comfort! They also have a selection of fresh seafood for locals who do their shopping in the neighborhood.

BESTLOBSTERROLLEVER! These babies are JAMPACKED with the freshest, most buttery lobster meat you will ever enjoy in your life. If the lobster were any fresher, it’d still be alive. If it were any buttery-er, it’d be Paula Deen on Thanksgiving. Seriously an amazing friggin’ lobster roll.

If we are going based on the quality of the lobster and how well the lobster was cooked– 5 star I like more butter– ;(not enough I like the bun toasted :(need some texture but that seems more of a personal preference it was great anyways the coleslaw is so good, pickle and a lemon wedge-5 star just pick up or sit outside on picnic tables, no frills with the dining part of it BYOB very casual just in a marina parking lot, straight to the point

I was in Point Pleasant for a few hours and wanted to try a couple of lobster rolls that had good reviews. I wish I had gotten them both from here because this was one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had, and the best I’ve had south of Maine. especially for the price. The place is a no frills seafood market with some comfy picnic benches on the side. The guys behind the counter were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the lobster roll w/o fries, so I can’t tell you how those were, but the warm, butter-drenched lobster roll was perfection. Simple, with tender, fresh, large chunks of lobster… probably half a tail and several claws. And for only $ 16. I live in Brooklyn and the walk to here from the train station was nothing to sneeze at. Would I do it again? You betcha! Can’t wait!

Of course, like everyone else is saying the lobster roll is out of this world! It’s not filled with mayo and other fillers, it’s just lobster meat with butter on a potato roll. It sounds so simple but it’s to die for! It’s a very small place with just a few picnic tables outside. So it’s very remote and relaxed. Definitely coming back soon!

Omfg. My advice: don’t eat a lobster roll here first. Everything else you eat for the duration of the trip will pale in comparison. The lobster roll is literally just lobster meat — no fillers, no creamy«salad“ing, just lobster. Trust me: the lobster rolls here = life.

After reading all the reviews I was convinced I had to try the Lobster Roll here. Hands down this was the best Lobster Roll I have had anywhere! No celery or mayo, just Lobster– served hot, not cold. They dont skimp on how much Lobster they put in; it was falling out of the bun it was so much. They use the claws and tail and dip it in butter and put it on a Potato Roll; the result is a Lobster Dinner on a bun. Worth every bit of the $ 15 they charge. I highly recommend trying it. Also impressed with the fish market here which included a tank full of 10 pound lobsters!

This is the most amazing place to get a lobster roll it’s just perfection and lobster roll heaven they use so much lobster meat from hardshell lobsters so much Claw and tail meat and then they just sit with butter and it is to die for! They have a few other offerings you sit outside on the picnic tables and I’ll bring it to you or you can get your food to go but the highlight of this fishmarket is the lobster roll don’t bother with anything else except the lobster bisque which is also incredibly delectable!

Stopped there today around 2pm after day at beach /Jenks. We had 3 lobster rolls & my littlest one had chicken fingers. The lobster rolls were best I ever had. Not the usual cold lobster salad with mayo & fillers. This was Maine style which means warm lobster on bun with just butter. It was huge & super tender & tasty. I think they were $ 14 or $ 15 ea with delicious fries & good colesslaw — a very good deal. We sat outside at the covered picnic tables & it was delightful. The people inside were very nice & friendly.

Really don’t want to give this place away, but … It is simple the best Lobster Roll and Lobster Bisque outside of RI and or Cap Code. Always always fresh and hot. Skip the rest and come to the best there is on the Jersey Shore

This isn’t even a true restaurant. It’s more of a pick up and take out place. However, they do have a bunch of picnic tables outside in a covered patio area so you can order meals and they bring it out to you. Best item on the menu is the lobster roll. It’s plain and simple lobster meat in a potato roll. The lobster meat is slathered in butter but not so much that your lips and mouth are covered in grease. The potato roll is lightly toasted and soft on the inside. There’s no other superfluous crap like celery nor is it slathered in mayo. A++

nice little marina side place for some quick seafood. I didn’t try any of the fresh seafood for sale but it looked good. I love any place that will offer me a lobsta roll to get my fix when were not at the cape. some simple outdoor picnic tables and a quick turnover for quick food and the workers were very nice with good energy. lobster roll was good but not awesome… it did allow me not to withdraw and get some lobster flavor but def some down sides. All claw meat :((seemed to have no tail meat) this is a big no no but for 13 dollars I guess I should have expected it. When you lift the lobster roll the paper plates had a little too much butter but I am sure you can ask for less if you wanted. this is not something you would experience out in Massachusetts and kind of ruined the roll for me. overall a cool place

We have only eaten at Point Lobster once or twice, but get takeout from there pretty regularly when we’re in PPB for the summer. We basically get two dishes, both of which we recommend. First, the lobster roll, which is just great — big hunks of lobster wrapped in a buttery potato roll, just the way it’s supposed to be. Second, the lobster bisque, which is really terrific and we think the best in all of the shore. You can get both of those at takeout and they travel well, at least for half an hour or so, presuming that you don’t finish them on the drive home. Point Lobster is also a really good fish market, if you decide that having eaten everyone’s lobster roll in the parking lot you probably should bring back something to cook.
