Love this place, great tasting boba milk tea and delicious club sandwiches. Hope they stay around for a while.

just moved to california and had no coffee on sunday morning. so i Unilocaled and found this place near my new place of residence. the reviews on Unilocal were so right — i hope this place stays open. the mall in which café java is placed is dead. or almost dead. But this place is clean, cute, pleasant and most importantly, their coffee is great. they use coffee beans and tea leaf coffee — but the variety of other things they offer is very enticing — especially the boba. I wonder if they’d put boba in coffee… how would that taste? :)

Friendly service, quiet place(that is the sad part), drinks on pricey side(but what do you expect since the rental is probably so high that other shops don’t even survive here), free wifi(yay!), and taste is. um ok. I did not get boba in my thai frap since it’s weird to have boba in a frap in my opinion… but i do hear boba here is crunchy(not a good thing). Thai Frap was $ 3.50 small(!!), but the taste grows on you. Had an after taste like wafer cookies. Will still support this place since it’s hard to get asian type drinks around here. They make Taro, Thai, Lychee frap, among other drinks. Shaved ice about $ 6 to $ 7 and yogurt 39cents a scoop. Ok, i know already… it is pricey. If you craving something though, price doesn’t really matter?

This place is super cute! I only popped in for dessert because I had some major cravings and so I haven’t yet tried the coffee drinks or the frozen yogurt they have«on tap.» But, I like what I saw and I like what I tasted. As any local yokel, I do feel bad for any business that’s trying to make it in the Tumbleweed Plaza which seems to have been dead ever since Winco demolished the anchoring Albertsons some years back. Props to Caffe Java Brew for having the guts to put something up and for making it good, at that. I’m gonna stop by with my little nephews before the summer’s end to see how the drinks and the yogurt is. Hopefully, this place sticks around!

It’s a Saturday afternoon, I’ve been here for five hours, and there has been a total of 7 customers. It’s a fair coffee shop but doesn’t seem to be able to compete with the Starbucks that’s three blocks down the road(which was packed this morning!). You would think that with coffee, yogurt, and milk tea that they’d have more people coming in.

One star JUST because it’s convenient to have them around. All subsequent visits have been a disappointment. Visit #2: Crunchy boba, rude service. Visit #3: Rude service – server had difficulties clarifying the order. He didn’t charge us for one of our milk teas when he had restated«ok 2 boba milk teas.» The barista hands us one milk tea. We ask for the second. He looks confused then returns with a second and blatantly/rudely says«You didn’t get charged for this.» …ok? So I asked if he wanted me to pay for it. He says no. OHYEAH, dry dry waffles. Visit #4: All the employees are sitting around. No one greeting us as we enter. Then the server goes back to sit down before we even leave the store. REALLY, now. I mean come on.

Been coming here more often since the first visit. Still love it. They now have more pastry/bakery items from La Mousse. Not the best baked goods ever, but tasty and good companions with our coffee or tea. The tiramisu isn’t really a traditional tiramisu, but it’s pretty good for a light snack as it is not too heavy or sweet.

Nice little shop. There are no boba places anywhere in the area so I was happy to find a boba place close by. Ive gotten their milk tea and honey dew tea and they were both very good.

Me and my girlfriend absolutely LOVE this place! We go every Saturday and Sunday for our weekend coffee’s here and she usually gets one of their delicious muffins as a morning snack. Regular house coffee is great. They serve Coffee Bean coffee; enough said! Clean, friendly and just what we like; this is our coffee house!

This place is great! I hope they stay around for years and years. My husband and I have a little girl and are hoping to make this place our hangout or «treat» place when she gets older. The people are very friendly and the place is clean. Keep up the good work!

God answered my prayers when he put a coffee shop in Phillips Ranch that serves ALL of my favorite things– Boba Milk tea, Fro Yo, and Cupcakes! The drinks are really good and they brew Coffee Bean coffees. I am so happy that I can just walk to fix my milk tea craving. The employees are really nice and their sandwiches are really tasty too. It says a lot about the quality of their drinks, food, and service when I already filled up my bonus stamp card in two weeks. =) Let’s keep this place in business so visit soon!

I was happy as hell that a coffee place opened up there, but I would have thought that they would have gathered a following before charging the prices they do. The staff is hit or miss, one day its a nice girl who knows how to communicate, the next its a girl who can’t understand anything im saying. I would give a higher rating but, 3.99 for a boba milk tea and no bold coffee wont allow me to rate higher. Sorry.

I am a starbucks regular and thought I’d check out this new local coffee place just for my coffee curiosity. The previous coffee shop on this address didn’t last long after starbucks opened on the walmart plaza. I was wondering why would they dare to face the starbucks competition after the previous similar kind of shop has been beat up badly. I walked in the store and found out that they have different menu than starbucks, this place is more like a mini version of coffee bean and tea leavs + tapioca express + yogurt land + subway. I was pleasantly surprise by their menu since I loved those 4 places and now I can get them all in one pace. I tried something that’s not offered at sb — sweet potato latte. Yes, it sounds very weird, but it was very good. I love yogurt land but hate to drive to chino hill to get it. I am glad I can have frozen yogurt on my way home or whenever I want to without having to drive so far now. I think they should advertise more on their non-coffee menu«outside» of the shop since I didn’t know until I walked in and normally people wouldn’t walk in if they don’t want to buy anything they thought the store would offer. Especially this place has tinted glass, so no one can see what’s going on inside. I didn’t know they have sub sandwiches until I looked on line. If I know they have yogurt like yogurt land, I might have checked them out earlier. The other idea for local shop like this to beat starbucks competition is to sell«fresh roasted» coffee. Like let their customers order by phone or on line, and have them pickup the fresh roast next day. There is a shop in Alhambra sells fresh roast that I love, but kind of too far away from me.

The employees are friendly and very helpful. They asked what kind of drink I’m feeling today and suggested drinks from my response. I got the Mocha Frappucino from here. It’s pretty good. The price is similar to Starbucks. It’s cute and quiet with indoor and outdoor seating. Heads up: Come in early and keep your receipt to come back later for 20% off after 8pm.

I’m glad new shops are opening up in the previously(and still kind of) dead Phillips Ranch plaza. Now my dreams of having a coffee while on a morning walk with my dogs has been fulfilled! There are a bunch of choices on the menu including Coffee Bean coffees and Boba Loca bobas. I had a green tea latte and a green tea frapp, both of which were really good. My mom and I shared a cupcake which they heated up and presented to us on a plate with decorations and everything which was a surprise. I hope this place lasts until summer because I plan on taking advantage of the froyo and shaved ice!

I love this place. I’ve been coming here since it opened and it hasn’t disappointed me yet. They have the normal Starbucks offerings along with smoothies, shakes, fruit drinks, boba, waffles, sandwiches and frozen yogurt. I’ve tried some hot drinks, a few cold drinks and some of the snacks they offer including a waffle and they’ve all been fantastic. The employees are all very nice and attentive. They also offer free wifi, just ask for the password. I hope this place is here for years to come.

Yay! First to Unilocal this place(I think?) Always eager to support local businesses(especially good ones) CJB is located in the same plaza as the recently opened Grand Mart. Hopefully they fare better then the It’s A Grind that used to be in the same spot. The shop is cute and very modern, there are a few tables and chairs inside and they have a patio outside with lots of seating. Inside, I was pleasantly surprised and slightly overwhelmed by all the menu options. They’re items are as ecletic as the music the play, while studying there I heard anything from the Eagles to Soul for Real. As expected with any coffee shop they serve espresso drinks and and brew Coffee Bean coffee, but they also serve an assortment of desserts and snacks. Basically, any food trend within the past 5 years or so is condensed into this one shop: Boba? Check!(Boba included with no extra charge!!) Smoothies? Check! Self Serve Froyo and toppings? Check!(39 cents/oz.) Sandwiches? Check!(Even a veggie one) Dessert Waffles? Check! Shaved ice? Check! Cupcakes? Cookies? Yup, those too. I seriously spent almost a good ten minutes just perusing the menu. Luckily, the staff was very friendly and the girl that helped me even gave me a couple of samples of their milk tea to try, without even having to ask(always a plus in my book). Prices are about what you’d expect for the items they sell. I paid 2.99 for a small taro milk tea. It was good and the boba was nice and squishy. They also have wi-fi there, but you have to get the code from the employees. Overall, I’m definitely coming back and looking forward to trying everything else they have to offer.
