This is the definition of a hole in the wall restaurant. A little hard to find and the parking is little to none. The building is really old makes u feel like u in El Salvador. Food is good. Pupusas fall apart and platanos aren’t sweet. Drinks are bottle and no fountain drinks. Limited seating due to a small restaurant. Service is somewhat slow. Overall good place to eat if you have time and not in a hurry. Bring cash cause that’s all they accept.

3÷8÷16: gave the place one more try and went before they closed at 7:30pm. I got there at 7:20pm and he said they were closed. I told him it was 7:20pm. He said it would be too late to make food. So beware they actually close at 7PM instead of 7:30pm.
The service is bad. I ordered 4 pupusas to go and they told me it was a 30 minute wait. So I get there after 40 min and they told me I had to wait. After waiting for 5 minutes, more customers were coming in and the place was very busy. I decided to see if they were almost done. When I went to inquire, Well they never even started on my order because they couldn’t locate my order. So I canceled it because I had to wait for them to make it.

This is the BEST Pupusa place I have found and I have tried quiet a few!!! The place is small but worth every penny!!! If u r in a hurry ur best bet is to order ahead !! Hear there are plans of expansion or relocating to s bigger place. Will follow then ANYWHERE. Even my BFF who just came to visit love it!!! I highly recommended !!! Cash only. Bring a lot of mula cause you may want to order to go!

Yup, this place is great. I was a little concerned parking my high dollar classic car out front but worked out great. The building is a little divey which adds to the atmosphere. We had 3 different dishes. All were great and cheap. Highly recommend to anyone willing to go to a hole in the wall for great food.

I used to like their pupusas even though they have the worst service. However, I never came back to this place once I found a cockroach in the curtido. Just knowing that cockroaches, which carry diseases, were crawling all over my food made me want to throw up everything I ate. I’m so disgusted by this place. Stay away!!!

Terrible service, we were calling to order pupusas more than 20 times and no one picked up, and when they did they hung up or left us on hold for around 20 minutes. Although the food is great the service was terrible. We arrived at the restaurant before they picked up…

Been wanting to check this place out since I did a search for a salvy restaurant in the area and saw a lot of great reviews. Needless to say I was satisfied to the fullest and can’t wait to try the rest of the stuff from the menu.
Ordered pupusas de queso and recueltas, perfection! Tamales de pollo, perfection!!! And to top it all off, an order of plátanos con frijol y crema, amazing!!! All the food was great, you’ve made a new fan this evening!!!

This is a very adorable mom-​and-​pop pupuseria. great hole-​in-​the-​wall discovery by my friend. We had the chicharon/​queso and the chicharon/​queso/​beans pupusas as well as their friend plantains. super delicious. I wasn’t a big fan of their sauce though. I felt it was too tomato-​y as opposed to other pupuserias I’ve had. Their pickled cabbage/​veggies are good though. Great and friendly staff!

Hands down.
Best traditional pupusas in Southern California.
Good size, good portion of filling, and reasonable priced for California.
The only thing I don’t agree with is that the «curtido» and the salsa are spicy which traditionally they are not. But that also depends on what you grew up with So my opinion is rather bias. But it is tasty for those who enjoy it hot.

My Gf’s parents are good family to the chef who makes the authentic and delicious pupusas. We had Queso con Chicharon and they were really good. I also love their salsa which is a perfect kind of spice that isn’t too spicy for those who are virgins to chili and then the Curtido on top. 4 stars instead of 5 because Cash Only. I mean really? Make the switch. Other than that this spot is good.

They need to change their hours here, I came around 10 but they were still closed; I left to get some paleta near Tijuana’s tacos and came back around 11:40 and they were opened.
They were still getting ready but their door was opened. I got a bean pupusa ($ 2.50) with no cheese that was tasty and a maraculla.

This is a true hole in the wall. Which is why it is great! You want AC? You want to pay with card? You want great service?! You want ample parking? Not here!!!
You want great authentic food that keeps you eating even when you are full? You want food that the cook puts their heart into? You want food that simply taste great and puts a smile on your face? This is the spot!!!
Pupusas are the best I’ve had (other than my moms). They are not greasy, filling goes all the way to the edge, the masa taste great and the filling is delicious. The revueltas do a good job of balancing the beans pork meat and cheese.
The empanadas are delicious. The platanos outside is sweet and a nice contrast to the bean or milk filling. They are good size and bursting juice goodness all over.
The owners are nice and friendly. Very polite and salvadorian. Both a plus.
Bottom line this a definite hole in the wall. The good is great and it has soul
