I think it’s the worst arts and crafts store that I have been to so far. Not only the choices are limited, the quality of products is also debatable. However, I am taking off 4 stars because of the staff. Please don’t disturb them by going to the store. They have more important job of chatting with each other and ignoring customers. One star is for the lone cashier at the counter. He was quick and polite. I felt bad for him. Clearly he was working and others weren’t because he was the junior most. I am not going back.

I usually like this store because it’s close to my job and I can just run in and get what I need but not anymore. The employees ruin this place, they are inconveniently in aisles that customer frequent and when you say excuse they roll their eyes and continue to work. Nope, I’m not here for that. I respectfully walked out of the store. It took me several tries to get someone to help me locate an aisle that doesn’t exist anymore(classroom materials). Nobody helps here they’re just there…

Im kind of stuck coming here for framing bc all of my other frames were from here, and I need them to match(board certificates). But everytime I come it is literally the biggest mission to get the frame and then pay. The frame and matting I want is EXACTLY the same everytime, with no changes… so I can never understand why it takes 45 minutes every. Single. Time… To check out. And this time, I had to wait on the register to be opened. Ugh. At least the frame looks good in the end.

Great craft store and helpful staff. Everything is discounted because it is an outlet store. They have plenty of checkout stations open so you don’t have to wait in a long line. I was looking for glazes to paint glass. They directed me to their wide selection of colors at very affordable prices. This is a great place to go if you are in to crafting and want to save some money. There is plenty of parking in the attached parking garage. The store is located in a strip mall on the southwest corner of Sample Rd. and US1 in Pompano. They offer custom framing at this location. Other items include: baking, canvas, Xmas ornaments/decorations, jewelry materials, etc.

This AC Moore is now an outlet with 40% off everything in the store. They don’t accept coupons anymore, however the prices are dirt cheap for all the same quality items as always. Just keep in mind, no returns accepted. They will do exchanges though. This is just the BEST craft store, Hobby Lobby being second to it. I am so glad to have it so nearby.

I came in to buy some Sculpey, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. A really nice lady named Carol took me right to it, pointed out that it was on sale, and asked me if there was anything else I needed. That, ladies and gentlemen, is the definition of good customer service. If I could, I would have given her a Gold Star for her excellent customer service skills. The people that work here seem genuinely happy to be there and they seem to really like each other too. I passed by an open door to a break room where the employees were eating and laughing, and no corporate overlord was forcing them to do it. The store is super clean. There’s not a speck of dust anywhere, all of the shelves are picked up and tidy, and the floor is shiny. The music they play is just right… stuff from the mid 90’s mostly, but not totally. I really liked it. I’ll definitely be back here. This place had a really great vibe, the prices were right, and absolutely everyone was helpful and friendly. I’ll sleep better tonight knowing that great customer service is alive and well at AC Moore in Pompano.

AC Moore is to an adult artist like Toys R’Us is to a five-year-old kid: the promised land. Seriously, this place is a bastion of cleanliness, order and all the art supplies you could possibly dream of. If used to cluttered, crowded, overpriced establishments like Dadeland Station’s Michael’s, AC Moore will restore your faith in corporate America. This particular location is quiet and organized. Their selection is impressive, and items easy to find. Lines are rarely long, and move quickly. Parking is ample and free. In addition, they often give coupons for half off a single item on your next visit. Seriously, what else could you ask for? I only wish we had a store of this caliber in Miami. A girl can dream, can’t she?
