Okay so one of those days I came to the store to buy some lunch. In general customer service is always good. It’s a store that has Arabic Russian Brazilian and other culture food and spices. We purchased several times caviar, but sadly it was not fresh. It was sticky and gummy. If you are looking for a average lunch for one personal, then it will be around 12 – 15.

The International Food Market is a Russian and Middle Eastern(sic!) grocery store on Sample Rd near Dixie highway. It is full of great surprises: Russian jams, various sorts of keffir, wonderful olives, many varieties of herring, super halva. The list goes on and on. Not only is the choice terrific, the prices are not bad at all. It is really a lot of fun to shop there as well.

It was a very pleasant surprise to find this little market. There is a tremendous variety of European, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern products. I especially was impressed with the deli counter packed with sausages, wursts, cheeses and smoked fish. The staff was very friendly and helpful letting me try several types of sausage and cheese. I ended up picking up a real assortment of goodies I can’t wait to try. I will certainly be back, and can see this place as a PERFECT stop to pick up things for company.

It’s a really big, chucked full of international food goodies with all sorts of various herrings, spats, sardine, boloney, brined chicken, jars of pickled or in oil everything. However, most of the labels are in various other languages than in English with a seeming emphasis on Russian, Greek, Slavic, Jewish items with little Italian, Scandinavian, or French items. Hence, it is one of those places where you really have to have some background knowledge or be cultured in the areas of their food items in order to make any intelligent shopping decisions. They do have a really good, pleasant, most helpful staff that is always ready to help you with any question or with your determination of which food item to choose.

I’m so happy I found this place! I’ve driven by far too many times and just never bothered checking it out until now. Since I like making Persian food, I usually would make the trek to the market on Sunrise and University. Only problem is, that place has strange hours and is a bit on the expensive side. This place, however, is open until 9 pm, is double the size of the Sunrise store, and is cheaper! They have food from all over the world… the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and they even have milk and cheese from Amish country in Pennsylvania. I found some Kinder Bueno chocolates from Germany… I bought them from another store for $ 4 for one bar, but this place had a three pack for the same price! Also bought some herbs, spices and yogurt sodas(it’s an acquired taste). This store has a gigantic selection and the ladies behind the counter were very helpful. Definitely check this store out if you’re in the area!
