Master Security Doors

In 2013 on May 7^th, I paid $ 4,894. down and signed contract for two Italian security doors to be finished and delivered in 16 weeks by Master Security Door & Window Systems, Inc, 2179 N. Powerline Rd. Suite 2, Pompano Beach, Zip 33 069, Broward County, Florida. Per Florida State business registry
, President Geoffrey Rhys Pollock changed the name of his company in late 2014 to American Security Door & Window, LLC, 8368 Garden Rd, West Palm Beach, Zip 33 404, Palm Beach County, Florida. As of September 2015, SUNBIZ lists both companies as active and they both have the same phone, 954−971−4747. On June 9^th, 2015 Geoff wrote me, «I think it will take about 10 more days for the [parts] delivery, but all the parts needed to complete your doors are in this shipment.» and will not say further. I have a small claims court suit against him in Broward County but per background search he has six active liens, one for $ 5465.71 and apparently none paid. Not much chance a suit will get your money back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GEOFFREY RHYS POLLOCK OR NANCY POLLOCK.

Oct. 2014 I put a deposit of $ 15,000 cash on a $ 30,000 order and guess what? STILL DO NOT HAVE MY DOORS. Now I have had to invest my more money into getting a lawyer!!! They won’t even answer phone calls. These people are crooks!

We were ripped off by this vendor. Paid 50% deposit for an outstanding product (an Italian-​made «Master» reinforced security door, which we ended up buying from another vendor later on). We signed a contract and placed our deposit in November 2013. After 16 months of calls, emails and text messages, we have given up. The owners are not honest. They will lie to you and tell you they are trying to get the order closed. But what should take no more than 2 – 4 weeks has continued unresolved for 16 months.
Bottom line — this company is not properly registered with the Florida State Corporation Commission (I checked), and the owner claims there was a bankruptcy process some time prior to having accepted my money. Had I known these people were bankrupt, then we would have never dealt with them. When we initially called, they acted like they were honest, and helpful, but they simply collected our money and used it for other purposes. It was completely unethical of them to accept our money without a true commitment to deliver a final product.
I also hear from other folks who have been ripped off by these people. The owners are liars, unreliable, unresponsive, and continue to spin a tale of ‘we’re working on it’ when in fact they are just taking you for a ride.
16 months — still no product, and a $ 1000+ deposit wasted.
DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. And please do not confuse the Italian made «Master» branded security door, which is a great product, with this horrible company called Master Security Door. The manufacturer and of the door is excellent, but this retailer is a scammer.

Don’t risk your money ordering a security door from this place. I ordered from them based on three factors:
1) Their doors had been featured on a television show several years back.
2) Their doors have a Miami-​Dade hurricane certification, which means someone at some point spent the time and money to put the doors through that process.
3) Their website was nice and communication with sales seemed easy.
Fast forward to after ordering five doors. Original estimate was 8 to 10 weeks, excuses started at 14 weeks, they stopped answering my calls at five months, ultimately disputed the deposit charge at seven months.
If you do take the risk of ordering from them, use a credit card for your deposit, and confirm with your credit card provider that they have no time limit on when a chargeback must be initiated by, because some may only give you 90 days to dispute and you’ll need longer than that since their typical delivery estimate is going to be 10 to 12 weeks. I have a Chase Visa that was no problem disputing at seven months after the fact. I waited an additional 60 days before ordering doors from someone else because that was the time Master had to file a counter claim; they didn’t and I never heard from them again.
