Friendly staff, great price and a fun place to grab a bite, but I’m not sure I would of out of my way to eat here.

Food is very different from normal Mexican restaurants but very fresh. You also have to pay for chips and salsa which is ungodly in my opinion! I gave 1 star because there were 8 waiters/waitresses working at 2:30 in the afternoon and we had to still to flag them down and ask for more chips and refills on our drinks.

All raved about this place. What Mexican restaurant does not give free chips and the chips you do buy are horrible. Over priced, food was OK and the drink glasses had floating debris at the bottom. We have no intention on going back.

Excellent food & service. The chips are amazing. My lunch order was a generous portion. I couldn’t eat all of it. The Gorditas were very good. Chicken, beef & pork.

Wow slow service and terrible tasting food… the only good food that I actually enjoyed was the salsa. I had their finger tacos there was almost no meat and were extremely greasy. I came here because all of they hype from coworkers and reviews and was extremely dissapointed. Their ice tea tasted more like water than anything else.

I really enjoyed their homemade salsa and chips. I had chicken tacos and they were great too! I take off one star, because it needs updating, but so do all the local places in this area. Environment/atmosphere is important to me if I’m dining in. If you’re in town, go there!

The best Mexican food I’ve had this side of the border. A lot on the menu is tweaked to appeal to the more Tex-Mex crowd, but for this place, that’s a bonus. Best chips, best salsa verde, best almost everything they make! Oh god, the chips… they are DIVINE!!!

The first time I went my meal was greasy. The second time I went it was delicious I tried something new and the soup is so flavorful it was so yummy and the guacamole was really good it is on a fried corn tortilla. The chips are all so really good with the salsa and guacamole.

This is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. Service is awesome, servings are HUGE, you will not leave hungry. The best Mexican food anywhere. Flew into Ponca City, OK airport just to eat here. Will go back again soon!

I am kind of spoiled to good Mexican food being that I live in Houston. This place is actually pretty good. The chips and salsa are awesome. The make them homemade and they have a nice puff to them. I got gorditas that I’d recommend. The chicken one was the best. The tortilla soup was homemade yum… Def a good place for old Ponca City

Consistently delicious, authentic Mexican food. A real treat. Start with the chips and I highly recommend the finger tacos. You never know who will be coming in for a landing on the airstrip(restaurant is located in a tiny airport). The other day I saw two HUGE military helicopters landing to refuel. The next thing I knew the place was filled with men in fatigues!

«Oops, you did it again! you played with my heart!» CHICKENMONTEREY! NOWAY! This is(like) INDIANFRYBREAD with MEXICAN flavor! I just died and went to heaven! Anyone knows you have to be special to know family who either MAKES Fry Bread or sells it once a year at college or at a PowWow. I sadly have neither, and live in a land far far away from this expert knowledge. So when I find myself home, I cry knowing Enrique’s can help me out on any day of the week. Chicken Monterey — I want to make sweet loving with you. Chips, salsa, soup, guac, pink lemonade — still as perfect as 20 years ago.

This place will be forever associated with their chips, which are, bar none, the best. I’ve had chips. I’m somewhat of a connoisseur of chips. Before you go here, know that the the progenitor of chips, the First Woman of Chips, was a woman named Rebecca Carranza. She invented chips! She did! She invented chips! Look it up. I’ve been all over Central and South America, and Enrique’s does something the wives of Mexican farmers have been doing for millennia: they fry up stale tortillas into chips! They’re delicious! Actually, the more stale the better. A dried-up tortilla absorbs less fat(even though they seem greasy), but that’s how you make a sopapilla! Anyway. Enrique’s may make the best chips on the planet. The rest of it is for you to decide. I want to like this place, I do, because it’s the best place in a hell-hole of a town in the middle of nowhere, but I can’t say it’s great. I’ve never had anything good here, except the chips. My fish taco had so much salt I thought my face would dry off and fly away. My mom had the pork guisado and said«meh,» and she eats pre-packaged mac and cheese three times a week. My dad had a chile relleno, which was mostly mush. I asked the waiter(one of the owners) for some salsa fresca, and after a bunch of moaning and sighing he asked if I meant«pico de gallo.» There is a difference, I know, but why the attitude? Anyway! Five stars! It’s Ponca City, Oklahoma! Seriously. Go for the chips.

Absolutely the BEST Mexican food EVER! Love the chips and salsa(both made from scratch). All the food I have tried is delicious. Their green chili is amazing and I love their chicken enchiladas. I don’t mind the wait because it is so worth it. The staff(family-owned) is fantastic. I lived in Ponca for 11+ years and even with living in Colorado for the past 22 years now, I still visit my hometown and always make Enrique’s my top dinner spot.

This used to be one of my favorite places when I lived in Ponca. We returned here to eat with friends when we were back in town. Apparently, they have downsized their menu and no longer offer the chicken I used to love and their prices seem a little higher than they should be. I went with the Enchilada, taco and tostada combo. The food was decent but not quite as good as it used to be. The chips are still very good an so is the salsa. Not sure why they downsized the menu but I don’t see this as good for their future. It is still decent for Ponca but there are other Mexican places I would probably try first.

This find in Ponca City — best Mexican Food — north and south of border. Everything is authentic right down to the home made chips. Lunch $ 8.75 fajita was to die for. The chicken was sweet and tender, comes with homemade beans and soup. It is in the local airport — people actually fly into the airport just for lunch and dinner. Great find!!!

I had lunch there today while on a business trip. While I am sure that Ponca City has limited dining options this is a good choice for Mexican food in an unique atmosphere. I like eating in this old airport terminal. It has character and nice views of the runway with large windows. I ordered the lunch fajitas. The chips and salsa came out first and as others have stated the chips are really different. Thick and almost fluffy they were good and I enjoyed them. Then a big cup of chicken soup showed up as part of my lunch special and this made me happy. It was also very good. Then the fajitas arrived with charra type beans and two big tortillas. It was all good. I like this place. It has a certain charm. It is probably hard for visitors to find as it is off the beaten path. The food was good and I am giving the overall meal a strong 3. Table service was also good. I recommend this place to eat. I would come back.
