I’ve had this place bookmarked for quite a while now and we finally came by yesterday with a friend who lives in the area. When walking through the door the first thing that struck me was the smell of ground beef being cooked. The smell of grease is a bit on the strong side honestly, but it is a representation of what you should be expecting eating here. First off, I like the décor. It’s fun and the space while limited was good for a small burger joint in a strip mall. pricing is a bit on the high side for me. Two burgers, an order of onion rings to share and a drink(I had one free by checking in with Unilocal) was about $ 23. Yikes! Sat down, waiting for our food to arrive and talked. Got our food a few minutes later and it was solid if not spectacular. I’d have preferred a bit more seasoning on my beef, and word to the wise, these things are on the greasy side too. Don’t get me wrong, they are good, but I’d suggest there being a restroom around just in case when you eat one of these things. The flavor for me was reminiscent of Five Guys. Actually, that’s exactly what the burger was… Five Guys but with more toppings and cheese choices.

Our whole family loves this place. Burgers, fries and shakes that rival M Shack, which we love too, but Sharky’s is much closer — just south of Sawgrass on A1A — and maybe even a bit cheaper. The service is always friendly and as fast as you can expect for fresh, made-to-order food.

The burgers are good but why the hell does the owner allow employees to touch your food with no gloves! Even subway makes there employees wear gloves. What happened to standards… Ive been to this location a few times now and every time its the same thing. Slow service and no gloves… Get it together.

I guess I’m giving up on this place. No matter how many times I come back they can never seem to keep up. $ 15 for a burger and fries that take over a half hour to cook. One guy(of the two employees) was great and the other seemed to have never worked at any job before. Burn me four times and I’m out. Too bad cause the food is good, albeit over priced for the level of service.

Very good burger! Set up like 5 guys. Pay for a base burger and add all sorts of toppings at no charge. Expect to pay $ 10-$ 12 per person if adding drink and or fries.

5+ Stars! Burgers are fresh and made to order. They melt in your mouth and are simply«apply to the thigh» good… my highest rating. My son actually dreams of going back there! But since they really do go to my thighs internally I think I need to space it out. Seriously…everything is fresh to include the fries and onion rings. The toppings are amazing and you can get grilled mushrooms as a free topping… can I get a Hallelujah!!! From the first moment you sink your teeth into that juicy burger and it meets your taste buds you will be in heaven no matter how you ordered to be made. Way YUMMY! I have not tried their milk shakes yet… stay tuned for that! I stupidly didn’t check in until after I ordered. DUH! If you check in before then there is a Unilocal offer… WHOA! Right? The offer is for a free small fries with an order of a sandwich and drink. Take advantage of this… the fries are so good. I know better for next time… hello! The mistake won’t happen again! On an ending note, take note that since everything is made to order and fresh… it takes a little time. This isn’t like ordering at a fast food restaurant. Perfection takes time. Allow 15 give or take… or even more depending on the size of your party.

Great fresh quality burgers and fresh cut fries. Sharky’s is a recommended stop for lunch or dinner, best burger in Ponte Vedra Beach! The shakes are also pretty good, but a bit small for the price. It does take about 15 to get your burgers cooked to order… worth the wait.

Fantastic! We had a ½ pound bacon cheese burger, a single cheese burger, onion rings, and French fries. All food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries were excellent. The restaurant was also very clean. Moreover, the staff was friendly, and delivered our meal in a timely manner. We will certainly be back.

One of the best traditional burger places I have been to. The fries are hand cut and super crunchy and the patties are angus beef with Keiser buns. Deeeeeeelicious! Very nice staff as well. Oh and get a malt shake!

We were eating at Sharkys for some time now. Their burgers are getting smaller and smaller. We are not going there any more. Sorry.

I tried out this place a long time ago when I lived in the area. The ordering set up reminded me a lot of five guys. I ordered the cheeseburger all the way and some fries. The burger was pretty good and had less grease than a five guys burger. What I liked was that it was close to my house and it was small business which is always a plus to me. If you are ever in the area I would suggest giving this place a try.

We decided to stop by Sharky’s after a beach day, so we came hungry. I ordered a ½ lb burger with fries, my kids got a grilled cheese and my other half ordered a super bacon cheeseburger. It was only a few minutes later that they brought our food to the table. The burgers were juicy and delicious, and the fries were hot and crispy. The grilled cheese was also pretty good and my girls enjoyed it. They also liked that they let them pick out a sea creature from their goodie bag. All in all it was an excellent experience and it really hit the spot. We’ve decided to make it our beach day tradition.

My family thinks this is the most overlooked gem at the Beaches. The quality is undeniable. We dream of their fries. You absolutely won’t be disappointed.

Hamburger was really quite awesome. Onion rings were a greasy soppy mess and wayyyyyyy over priced. Sorry, I’ll make my own before I go back

Horrified. Went in on Saturday while it was pouring rain, there were two people working behind the counter. The male was busy making a shake or some other type drink while a female worked the grill. We were greeted and told it would be a moment, well thank God for that moment! As I stood there and watched I got a very good look at their kitchen. ***I was Horrified*** I watched the female behind the grill touch her face, scratch her hair that was not in a net then TOUCHFOOD with her UN-GLOVED hands repeatedly. She reached into one space, grabbed a piece of cheese, tossed in on the grill, touched multiple other surfaces, touched her face, brushed the hair out of her face, touch more food… Then I really started to look around at how DIRTY everything looked. I also took note of the unsafe floors not having down slip mats down were there was water on the floor and the two staff behind the line not in nonslip shoes. Lucky for them I am not the health or labor department. While all of this sunk in I realized I could not stand there any longer, I had been waiting long enough and had seen enough that it was time to leave. Sharky’s I hope you read this and get it together. I’m not sure that I will go back to check if you’ve made appropriate changes due to my level of disgust but I hope for the health of your patrons and the safety of your employees you make changes immediately.

When the Five Guys in Jax Beach closed, I was a little sad. It was a little bit of a hike, but the next closest one was on Hodges. So I needed something in the surrounding vicinity to give me that quick-service burger fix. Sharky’s has been on the scene for a while, but I had not had the opportunity to go in and give them a try. First stop in, I wasn’t really in the mood for a burger so I went with a grilled cheese with bacon & tomato. It was A-OK. Not super impressed, but definitely better than some. The fries immediately reminded me of Five Guys and they hit the spot. I decided to give them a second try before I passed judgement. On my first visit, I noticed they had a large call-in customer base, so this time I planned ahead. I went for the Bacon Cheeseburger with onion rings. The onion rings were tasty. The shark sauce(spicy ranch-like dipping sauce) was kickin’. The burger was made just as I ordered it. No complaints here. Will be back to try more burger combinations for sure. During the week, they run a lunch special: $ 9.99 for burger, fries & drink. Not too bad for a quick lunch.

Five Guys is definitely the obvious comparison here — your burger comes wrapped in foil, the patty is similarly cooked, and so on — but a) you can get a fried egg on that sucker and b) the closest Five Guys is way up in Jax Beach, so copycat or no, Sharky’s is definitely filling a need here. I actually preferred the Sharky’s fries to Five Guys’ — I prefer my fries more fried and less giant potato stick, so Sharky’s delivers there. Prices weren’t great — burger with egg and fries set me back $ 10ish — but hey, neither is Five Guys or anything else in Ponte Vedra, so it’s probably priced right. The egg was over medium, though I assume they’d have made me over easy if I had specified. Service was great and there’s malt vinegar for your fries. Worth stopping in if you’re in the area.
