Really awesome customer service. Super friendly staff. So-so experience in the food department. The BBQ wasn’t bad at all, though the portion size seemed a bit small for what we were paying. I’m rating this so high mostly because the southern hospitality of the staff is much appreciated.

Brisket=very good but very much overpriced for Port Angeles $ 21 for a large plate with 2 sides Cornbread=very dry, not very good Rice=OK…not great, not bad… rice is rice Corn on the cob=small KFC type piece of corn. I would expect a full, fresh ear for the price Service=nice/friendly Overall, I would go back, but not often at those prices. I think they will realize this over time, and they will get more business if they find a way to lower their prices.

We were all excited to finally get some barbecue in Port Angeles. We’re from Texas and have never been served brisket with so much fat. I couldn’t believe that anyone would serve this, don’t they check the quality of what they serve? Prices are also too expensive. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I have lived in Texas. I have lived in New Mexico. I have had some of the best Texas BBQ around. This ain’t it. Bibbsy’s is a small mom and pop place, which appealed to me because I have eaten some of the best food at these types of places. I was really hungry for brisket, so my wife and I stopped in here after reading some of the Unilocal reviews that indicated the place was good. We were very disappointed. The brisket was marked as «market price» on the menu. I asked our waitress what that price was, and she told me $ 21 for the brisket plate, which included two sides and a bread. The most I have ever paid for an entire pound of brisket was $ 13, so I was dubious, but my hunger for brisket outweighed my better judgment. I should have listened to my doubts. The plate arrived with around a third of a pound of brisket. The best thing I can say about it is the red oak smoke saved it from being a total loss. The meat was a little soggy, like it had been reheated or kept in a warmer bin. The texture was dry, and there were little dried out bits of meat on the plate. The potato salad was good, but the spicy collard greens were too spicy(and I’ve had New Mexico spicy). The cornbread was a corn muffin, cold and, I suspect, store bought. Also, the sides were small. My wife ordered the pork sandwich platter, and the pork was chopped, not pulled, and sparse, and came on a cold sesame seed bun. The pork had good flavor, but for $ 11.50, there should have been more of it in the sandwich. The sauce, which is the same for all of their meats, was too acidic and lacked the depth of flavor and character so prominent in Texas BBQ. The iced tea was superb, both the sweet tea and the unsweetened, but when I asked for a refill, she brought me only a half full quart and stated she didn’t think I could finish another full glass. ??? We ordered the Key Lime Pie for dessert. It was good, but I know it was a previously frozen store pie(probably Edwards or Claim Jumper), and my suspicions were confirmed when, on the way out the door, I spotted several large cans of Bush’s Baked Beans on the counter in the kitchen. We never received a bill; she just rung up our meal at the register from the tag she had written up for the cook(her husband). We are not people of means, and we paid, with tip, $ 52 for this«experience.» If experience is the best teacher, consider this a master class in where not to eat.

Texas BBQ on the Olympic Peninsula! And it is pretty darn good. But then the owner is from my hometown of Houston. Had the combination dinner, which should be renamed«dinner for two.» It fed me and my husband with three meat choices, two sides(we had potato salad and baked beans, both good) and hush puppies. And the owners are very nice and thinking about adding a table outside so we could have dined with our dogs.

Maybe something has changed according to some early reviews. This place was fantastic. Had the combo plate. Brisket, sausage links, and pulled pork. Sides were Cajun rice and beans. Food was delicious. Boss man was with me. He’s from the Deep South. As a side he ordered the collard greens. Of course no body makes food as good as mom but he rated the greens as being right up there. Refreshments(lemonade and actual Sweet Tea) was served in quart mason jars. Price is up there but well worth it.

Based on past reviews I would have not been into this place, but they were wrong. Food: I ordered the meat combo, the brisket was great tasting, perfect flavor and tender. The dark chicken was hot, well cooked and full of flavor. I recommend ordering extra sauce. Man this food was yummy. Service: friendly, fast and southern style courtesy. The owner was friendly and fun to talk to along with the staff. Price: based on the prices in town this place is on he high end, but to me any good BBQ is worth it. Bottom line is, as a Texan, I recommend this place, my experience was great. I can’t wait to come back.

I hate to write poor reviews but I feel compelled to write an honest review to save other people from wasting their hard earned money. I had the barbecued Rib tip sandwich and it was served on a sesame seed hamburger bun. The Ribs had no flavor and were full of fat. The sauce just tasted strange. Seemed like really nice people and the service was friendly. I would say overall it was horrible!

Worst barbecue ever. Didn’t have some items, no flavor. Ribs tasted strange. Very disorganized. Very disappointed. Don’t bother.
