Seaport Diner

We have been here a few times. Typical diner food. Nothing extraordinary, but decent. I had a chicken quesadilla which was actually pretty good. My husband had the sizzling fajitas which he enjoyed. The baked clams were surprisingly amazing. Good service. If we are in the area again we will be back.

We took my father-​in-​law here for dinner on his last night here before returning to Florida. We have eaten here many times and found it to be OK.
This night, not so good. First: there was right of us and after we asked for a couple of minutes do decide what everyone would order, the waitress disappeared for 20 minutes. Next we asked for bread for the table. Took two requests.
I ordered the Grouper Scampi. Everyone else ordered breakfast meals or simple meals from the menu. Another 20 minutes to get served.
Rarely saw our waitress after that.
Just a miss all around, Sorry. If we do a large group I’ll probably go somewhere else next time.

This place is the best!!! Their breakfast is really good and has one of the best home fries… also for lunch I highly recommend the fajitas its the best thing they have.

This place was average. I came with a normal than larger family and for some reason they didn’t hand out the menus to any of us instead they left all of the menus stacked up at the end which has never happened to me before so that was my first off sign. Also the silverware wasn’t in front of everyone so we had to figure out whose silverware is whose which wasn’t that fun. I ordered a steak, onion and cheddar wrap and the steak pieces were very big especially since they should Be cut up considering it’s a wrap. The wrap had potential but not too much when it was soaked from the juice inside the wrap so that spoiled the wrap for me. It’s totally not the worst diner and I would try it again to see if I have a better experience.

Very nice diner. The food is always good with huge portions. I get the Seaport wrap almost always. Never a wait and the staff is very sweet. Not bad prices either!

I’ve been so disappointed in this diner the last three times, I’ve decided to call it quits. The sandwiches are so skinny that a first grader would still be hungry after eating one. I had a turkey BLT and they put so little bacon on it. It was just one piece cut into quarters on the entire sandwich. Not very friendly people at the front either. Will not be going back.

Love this place! Huge portions, quick service.

The best deli on long island! The lines are really long and workers are not personable but their sandwiches are great! I would suggest ordering the Boone sandwich! It is super good! It has chicken cutlets,
bacon, russian dressing, american cheese, on a roll!

Seaport diner on route 347 in port Jefferson is a nice place for breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly as I ordered. The coffee cup never got to the bottom before the waitress asked if I would like more, and the home fries were really outstanding! The waitress was really friendly and attentive. All around, a good place to eat.

My boyfriend and I have come to this diner twice and absolutely love it. The food is always good and is delivered quickly. The waitstaff is a good mix of truly Long Island-​seasoned folks who really know how to keep your coffee full. Donna, who served us both times, was very nice and checked on us often. Sit at the bar for a front row seat of some primo diner people-​watching.

Can’t review the food or service went to seaport diner on New Year’s Day and it was closed. I moved out of state recently and was visiting for the holidays. Very disappointed. Diners were always an option every day of the year. Heritage in Mt Sinai was open. They will be getting my business going forward.

Any one who gives this establishment less than 5 stars has no idea what a dinner/​food should taste or prepared like. The waitresses and staff are on top of their game. ²⁴⁄₇. My dinners/​late night food are second to none. Born and raised on dinner food. Especially at my age now, 56. Best food around ²⁴⁄₇. jfh

This diner is great! I did the create my own omelette with green bell peppers, onions, and feta cheese which comes with home fries and toast. I got whole wheat toast. My boyfriend and I also got coffee which was yummy and free refills on that. All in all this place is great. The woman kept coming by and refilling our coffee without us even having to ask and the service was fast and friendly. $ 11.79 for create your own omelette with3 toppings was a good deal. I like this place a lot! The home fries and toast were good too and they even buttered our toast for us.

Been coming to the Seaport Diner for years. Aside from the highlight diner (now a bank), this was the late night go to for my friends and I. Good food — for a diner. Good service. Just stay on top of your server as they tend to forget items or refill your beverages. The desserts look great, but are usually dry. I always recommend the hot open roast beef and/​or turkey sandwiches. Very tasty and decent portion.

Rule Of Thumb «If you walk into a diner on a Saturday night around 8 or so and its empty, walk out».
Last Saturday my wife and I along with another couple stopped by the Seaport Diner for dinner.
We ordered soup and burgers. One soup, the minestrone was sent back, it had a strong metallic taste. The other soups were extremely salty.
The burgers were OK, I have had much better.
As I said, overall, just low end fair.

I live at Port Jefferson and warn all my friends and clients to never go there. The diner needs to be completely renovated. I don’t dare to look around while I’m eating, worry to lose my appetite. Food is not great so I don’t even want to give it another chance to go back. Please update and clean the place!!!

I’m surprised to see so many negative reviews for my favorite diner in the area (and if you know the 25A/​347 area, you know that’s a lot of diners!). I go exclusively for the burgers — extra large, so tasty and juicy. The thick steak fries are exactly what you’d expect to find at a great diner, but the standout is the enormous pile of crunchy onion straws that arrives on top of your burger. To. Die. For. For me, the burger you get at Seaport is almost on par with what you’d get at The Good Steer (minus the hour wait to be seated). To be sure, The Good Steer is a fantastic restaurant and definitely worth the wait — but if you’re pressed for time, you’ll probably be very happy with the Seaport’s burger.
This diner is also one of the few I’ve been to that serves desserts that truly taste as good as they look. Plenty of layer and ice box type cakes to choose from, served in enormous portions. If I come here for lunch, I truly don’t need to eat for the rest of the day.
Service and general cleanliness have never been an issue on any of my multiple visits — my goal is usually just a quick and tasty meal, and that’s always what I get.

Leaving off 2stars as the service and food used to be much better. This diner and Lake Grove Diner are best around area. Breakfast used to be best around. All the food is good. Very clean diner.

I come here sometimes due to its close location. However, the service is always terribly slow.
The food is decent diner food though.

We went in there and order a tuna salad when the waitress came back. It didn’t taste right
It was slimy and nasty. She comes back with a new plate. Telling us they made a mistake and made a chicken salad instead. We look and they took the chicken salad off and put the tuna salad on it. The waitress had the nerve to tell us that she saw them We send it back make a new plate. Which I know that was not true. They took it off the bill
