Brother Bruno’s Pizza Restaurant

This place is great! I was sorry to see the other reviews weren’t too good. We try to stop in here whenever we are in the area. The subs are huge and fairly inexpensive — great place! Friendly service, too.

This place makes OK Pizza. The best one is the meat stuffed pizza. Everything else is just ok. Their calzones are a rip-​off! They’re medium calzone is the size of a small calzone in any other pizza place. They change pizza chefs more times than anyone takes a bath! If you want excellent pizza and calzones that you could feed 3 people off of, go to A Taste of Sicily just down the road. Excellent pizza and even better calzones.

Just ordered a large pie it was the worst the dough was thin & I like it like that put the cheese was thicker, so the pizza wouldn’t stay up $ 16 down the drain the could have made 3 pies with that amount of cheese

I bought two meatball parmesans and fries and hot wings the meatballs tasted sour and had hair in it the hot buffalo wings had no flavor. only thing was good was the fries and the two liter soda the hamburger was also spoiled. They charged me $ 5 for the sod. I don’t know what happened to this place I have been going to this restaurant since I was a baby.

The food at Bruno’s very good, they do have very good pizza but.
When you put up a sign saying outdoor patio open you should be prepared to have people sit outside
It is like a construction zone, piles of wood, a hose, just a mess! And the delivery drivers leave their cars running right by the tables
Inviting? I don’t think so!

Hit or miss here. Quality of meat used in heroes are subpar.
Items that have to be made fresh are of better quality.
Shady business practices when it comes time to pay. Watch out.
Inappropriate behavior and language displayed by some of the staff.

Sorry to see all the other reviews here, definitely not my experience, though mine wasn’t absolutely outstanding. Came in here for dinner after hopping off the train from Hoboken and since I was quite hungry, I splurged. I ordered just a slice of pizza to start off with followed by spaghetti in tomato sauce which came with a salad. This place is not untypical of many other small family Italian places you can find in upstate New York. I’m quite used to them and I’ve always found them very very pleasant with great-​tasting food. I’ve had better pizza though it wasn’t objectionable, the salad was good, and the spaghetti was very good but the sauce was just a bit too spicy for my tastes! Service was decent, it’s one of of those places where you don’t quite know whether you order at the counter or sit down to be waited on. I ordered at the counter and was told to sit down and the girl at the counter did a good job at waiting on me, but much to my distress, I did not have enough cash to tip her. I realized that I did later on and I was quite unhappy with myself. I think I will be making a return trip to Port Jervis sometime! You do get a lot for your money! That’s what I love about these places.

Recently ordered a cheese pizza from them for pick up. Told it would be ready in 20 minutes, arrived before that.
3 employees in the building. One was wandering around, alternately looking at the wall decorations and watching the television. One was texting on her phone, and the third was talking on the telephone behind the counter.
Waited for a short time before the texting waitress acknowledged that I was in the restaurant. She was very pleasant and engaging. My pizza was resting ontop the ovens the whole time I was waiting.
The price, over $ 13 was a little high for a large plain. Good, but may not return if I find a comparable pie for less $.

This place is just awful!
We ordered a pizza pie and it took almost 2 hours for it to be delivered. We called like every 30 minutes to find out what was going on with our order. The woman that answered the phone was nasty and basically said that she did not care if we no longer wanted the pizza. We ordered Chinese food instead and when the delivery man finally showed up we told him that we no longer wanted the order. There was never an apology from him or the store for the lousy service.
