TASTE – Norwegian Epic

Horrible! Always had to wait to get a table «Freestyle». Food was fair. Service was poor. Most dinner’s tool 3 hours. Wait staff not trained well.

Service in this restaurant is very slow. The staff did not anticipate your needs or do simple things like refill your drinks etc. Almost every order was missing something or was wrong or late. The breakfast food was better than the dinner food.

Taste is one of several restaurants aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line ship, Epic. The service, as is on most every cruise line, excellent. The food at Taste though very good, just didn’t strike me as being up to what I would expect and certainly not up to the standards I find aboard any Cunard, Princess, Celebrity or Holland America line ship.
When aboard the Epic, excluding its additional priced restaurants, I found the food in the Epic’s Manhattan Room restaurant to be somewhat superior to that I found in Taste.

If cruising on the Norwegian Epic, this place is great for breakfast.
However, bear in mind, that this is one of the free restaurants on the ship that is not the Buffet. With that in mind, service can be slow.
The food is slightly better than what you would find at the buffet. The atmosphere is slightly more formal than the buffet, but more casual than The Manhattan Room. Honestly, I recommend going to one of the paid restaurants over Taste for a nice, romantic dinner

Very nice comtemporary décor accented with stained glass windows. Service was good but the food was mediocre. The Grilled New York steak was the highlight of the meal. Cooked just as how I wanted it. Everything else was, «hmm…what did I have?» Good thing I took plenty of pictures to remember…=.=
