Delicious! After I was half way through my Lamb, and market fresh vegetables, I had to stop and truly appreciate what the chef had prepared and why. Very rarely do you have to consciously stop enjoying to then start to truly appreciate and why.

This little gem of a restaurant is one of my favorite places. I LOVE the scallop dish. I’ve had great lunches and dinners here. The food is delicious, atmosphere quaint, unpretentious, yet white table cloths and whimsical China/glassware make it a little fancy. The food and service rival Downtown restaurants and I will continue to dine here as much as possible. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Up-update. I’ve lived in PNW for 4 months at this point And I’ve eaten here weekly for the past 2 months. Every Sunday night they have Sunday supper based on an ingredient or theme which has left me speechless every single time. Look at their Facebook page to see the past weeks. The impressive photos hardly even do justice to the quality of the meal. I’m here tonight on my birthday. There is no restaurant I trust more to have a fantastic meal and service. Come here and try the Sunday supper. They post the menu sat evening or Sunday morning. And if you enjoy a light delicious drink, ask about the Amanda!

Hard to say what is the best. We had 4 items off the new happy hour & each was amazing! Prosciutto wrapped dates were the best dates I have ever had. Perfect mix of flavors, the texture of the cheese stuffing, the sweetness of the date and the delicate saltiness of yhe prosciutto. .amazing. Egg rolls…_WOW crispy & delicious flavors… Thai noodle salad with prawns & veges were a fantastic blend of Thai flavors… nice…very nice. Omg too much food but then we split the beer brat with an over the top brat on a pretzel bun with an awesome mustard sauce and fennel slaw. Amazing new menu items. Chef Chris is fantastic..

I have heard so many good things about this restaurant, so I chose to go there for my birthday last night. I am SOGLAD I did. The food was amazing — perfectly cooked steak, the apple and brie appetizer was superb and the cheesecake(and flourless chocolate cake!) were perfect desserts. In my opinion, the thing that made the experience even more memorable than the food, which is very hard to do, was that Nathan(the incredibly attentive server) and Chris(the genius chef) came and checked on us multiple times throughout the evening. I must give credit to Nathan, he went above and beyond for all of us to make sure our dining experience was perfect. Thank you for that special treatment Nathan, and thank you to the owners for bringing such a wonderful restaurant to Port Orchard!

Totally superb! We came over from Seattle on a whim yesterday, called in the afternoon to see if they still had any spots open(on Valentine’s Day night!!)… they had one table open at 8pm and we took it! Nathan was super helpful on the phone – explaining the prix fixe menu and the ticket price – and he was even more charming in person once we arrived. When I asked, he took time to give us the history of the restaurant and to truly welcome us into what we could tell is a family of people who work at and run the place. Because it was Valentine’s Day, there was an amazing four-course meal, a Champagne(Prosecco) toast, and the whole staff came out to chat at each table. The owners, Brady and Deanna, were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make sure everyone had what they needed, hanging out at the tables until closing. This was an unbelievably impressive evening from start to finish! So, as for the food… Everything was as good as it sounds. And then some. !! Straight off the special menu: Prawn Cocktail — Prawns poached in a gremolata broth and served with a horseradish cocktail sauce Rosehip Salad — Fresh Valencia oranges with arugula, walnuts and feta tossed in a rosehip vinaigrette Tenderloin Steak Oscar — Angus beef tenderloin and Dungeness crab meat in a citrus hollandaise and black tobiko with horseradish mashed potato and asparagus spears Truffle Platter — Assortment of infused chocolate truffles paired with honeycomb candy and fresh fruit(and edible flowers, might I add!!) The Final Toast — Vandori Italian sparkling Prosecco Everything was DELICIOUS, but the crab was UNBELIEVABLE. And we had a bottle of Solsticio Malbec(2011) for $ 38: . Nathan poured the bottle into a decanter and it paired beautifully with everything(especially the truffles!!). What an amazing meal. I highly recommend the Bay Street Bistro for a world-class dining experience.

Quality and freshness isn’t lacking behind these big bay windows downtown. It’s not easy to find fine dining like this at an affordable price. Walking in without reservations wasn’t a hassle and we were promptly seated and pleased to receive a complementary wine sample. The pork chop was cooked perfectly with its seared, crisp outside and the tender, melt-in-your mouth texture inside, all married together with an amazing seasoning and flavorful sauce. That alone was enough to come back again. I had the goat cheese ravioli. It came paired with carmalized garlic, mushrooms, and onions that just melted in your mouth with flavor in accompaniment with the goat cheese ravioli’s in their outstanding wine cream sauce. This is how you take Fresh ideas with Fresh ingredients, and turn them into culinary masterpieces. I’ll be bringing back more, for more soon.

I got the ribeye(medium) it was like butter, i only needed a fork to eat it. My friends got the pork chop and my personal taste i wish i would have gotten the pork but i dont regret the steak. Cheese platter was great along with the blue cheesecake. Fantastic experience great quality for the price. Nathan and marine were on the money with their service.

New to Port Orchard, my husband and I decided to try Bay Street Bistro as our first date night restaurant and we are so glad we did. From Nathan’s friendly attention to meeting Chris, the executive chef, the experience was superb and the food was incredible. I was intrigued by the halibut with coconut spinach and it was beyond delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the coconut spinach was both smooth and spicy. Like other reviewers, I wanted to lick the plate. Ted ordered the pork that was tender and flavored perfectly. The entrees were served with the most amazing grilled vegetables I have ever eaten. We have lots of new places to try on this side of the water but we will definitely return to Bay Street Bistro soon.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening with my besties! This place is amazing. Chef Ian(sous chef) knocked it out of the park tonight. And the wait staff is really personable and accommodating. Nathan(bowtie) picked a perfect malbec for our meal. The special changes weekly; they are thoughtfully selected. You will find something for every palate. The staff is excellent at providing suggestions if you are not sure which vittles to choose.

I don’t understand the raving reviews. We had dinner at the Bay Street Bistro and at best I would describe it as over priced with mediocre food. My wife had the rib eye steak which was paper thin and more fat than meat. I had the salmon which I would describe as ok but nothing more than that. The third person with us had the halibut which was good. We won’t be coming back with 1 out of 3 meals that was considered good and prices this high.

Amazing food! Excellent service! It’s great to have a kid free zone to have an intimate dinner. All the staff is equally gracious and attentive without«hovering». I’m a repeat customer and have loved each visit.

Amazing place to eat! I had the salmon with Brie and blackberry balsamic sauce. My husband had the seared scallops. They were both so good, I nearly licked my plate clean. It wasn’t very busy, but it was Halloween and lots of people were walking on the street. We can’t wait to be back. Fresh, tasty food and awesome service. Thank you!!!

Tonight was the first time we had dined there since the new owners took over. What took us so long?! We had the Sunday Supper and it was soooo delectable! But the very best thing was the squash soup… OMG. I seriously wanted to lick the bowl and I so regret that I didn’t. Nathan was amazing, service was terrific, prices great and we can’t wait to go back. And I plan on bringing in as many other peeps as I can. Great tasty job, Bay Street Bistro!

This place is fantastic! Everything is always fresh and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I’ve honestly never had a bad meal here. I love seafood and there’s always a great selection on the menu — I’ve found that you can’t go wrong with the daily specials. So many fresh ingredients and inventive twists. YUM! We live in Manette but always make the drive to Port Orchard when we want a special romantic night out.

It’s located at the end of the main street. We secured a table by the window as we were early for dinner. My wife had spaghetti vongole with clams, while I had Julia’s beef bourguignon. Firstly, the spaghetti vongole was excellent, with many clams that were fresh(as latter was just delivered that same afternoon). The sauce was just right, and I helped my wife turned in a clean plate! My beef was just as good, tender and not over-cooked. There were onions and mushrooms in the sauce. We also got a side dish of vegetables — broccolli, baked potatoes and steamed carrots. The beef portions were sizable that we had to box some back. The waiter service was attentive and very friendly. I would recommend this place.

An honest review: Bay Street Bistro, Port Orchard. I do not prefer the atmosphere of the place. I’m a little confused as to what«image» the restaurant is trying to say. The menu is small with big prices. I did not like the mix n match plates either. Call it being picky but that really bothers me. The food… Humm I can’t describe it. I ordered beef with mushrooms, roasted potatoes and«vegetables» which was only carrots. While our server was very catering and so nice I think he could tell we were unhappy with our food. Wow, for a $ 71 price tag– I won’t be returning to this place. I rate it a 2 star only because our server was so nice.

My husband and I were walking around trying to find a place to eat on Valentine’s Day and happened upon Bay Street Bistro. We walked in and they had a few tables open, so we were sat right away upstairs. It was a really cute little place, very charming. Anyway, I ordered the Ribeye with veggies and potatoes and my husband ordered the Goat Cheese Ravioli. Our food came out really quickly, I was surprised. The Ribeye was delicious and cooked perfectly(med rare), great flavor. Veggies were cooked to perfection as well. My husband enjoyed his ravioli. I didn’t get to taste it because he inhaled it so quickly. We didn’t do dessert, but I did try the Mead, which was really sweet, so I didn’t need any. Service was great all around. Everyone that helped us was really friendly. Very efficiently run. I’m happy we found this little gem here in Port Orchard.

My wife and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary, so I called to ask if reservations would be needed and was assured by Nathan that we would easily find a table. We arrived to find that he had reserved a table for us by the front window because I had mentioned that we were celebrating. Dinner at the bistro was uh-mazing! They started us off with a little taste of a merlot, but I was in more of a mood for a rosé. We had an appetizer of bruschetta topped with mushrooms follwed by a salad for my wife and a nice tomato based clam«chowder» for me. Main course was lamb for me and scallops for her. We had delicious desserts there. She had a traditional cheesecake that was light and moist with a slight hint of citrus. I had a chocolate raspberry cheesecake! And I also had a scoop of chocolate turtle ice cream on the side(made by Carter’s Chocolates). Overall a wonderful Anniversary dinner!
