It’s closed. Apparently, has been for about a year. Boo! As a foodie and newbie to the area, I was excited to find this wine shop in Port Orchard. I should have known it was too good to be true. Oh well.

OK, I’ll admit it. I AM a city snob. I would have never thought that such a town(Port Orchard) could house such a great find. I can’t take the credit for the find though. My husband found this on during his many treks to and from the Navy base. The location isn’t the best as it is tucked away in «downtown» Port Orchard and if you’re coming from the Bremerton direction you’re sure to miss it all together. OK I’ll get to the good! Puget Sound Wine Cellar has an amazing wine and beer selection. The proprietors are very knowledgeable and offer great paring advice. If you’re just not sure they have always struck gold with their suggestions! If you’ve traveled the world you know good beer and you know good wine. Yes you can even find good wine selections in your local grocery store but let’s face it– can those people really answer your questions regarding their inventory? We’ve been back to PSWC a few times now and as a matter of fact we have even been back twice

At PSWC you will find a wide variety of wines from all over the world. There is truely something for everyone. The owners are knowledgable, friendly and eager to help.

It’s a shame but the choices for good wine stores in Kitsap are starting to dwindle. That’s why I’m pretty happy to have found this place to give my money to. Great selection of wines here. Good selection that has lots of higher end bottles for sale. What I really like about this place is the beer selection though. The majority of the Dog Fish Head beers come through here with a large amount of smaller brands populating the cases as well. I come here for when I want a nice bottle of beer at home. Wine and Beer tastings on the weekend also make for a good choice of cheap things to do on a weekend if your looking to expand your palate. The only issue I have is that I’m hard pressed to find good cheap wines, but I guess that keeps the rif-raf(like me, I’m usually the youngest person in the store by at least a decade) out.
