Pueblo Viejo

The Pueblo Viejo on PSL Blvd in the Winn Dixie plaza has been there for many years. They have expanded to 5 more locations. We have never had a bad meal at any of the locations we’ve been to. My husband picked up take out yesterday. The food was delicious as always, but I ordered a side of the white cheese dip. Each order comes with chips and salsa. We had a generous bag of chips, but the container of salsa was the smallest plastic container with a lid, maybe it would hold an ounce. The maybe 2 ounce container with the white cheese in it was less than half full and I paid 1.50 extra for it. I took pictures and headed in there today with the empty containers. They apologized and gave me not only a new bag of chips, but a larger container of salsa and an appetizer sized container of the cheese dip!!! Rather than go on social media and slam them I decided to see if they would make it right and they did. We’ve been eating here on and off since the day they opened and will continue to do so.
I think some, maybe all have full bars.

My favorite place hands down. Great food, service and attitudes. It’s my favorite place to take out of town guest. The prices are very reasonable.

On Sunday, May 15^th went in to have lunch. Had to wait to be seated. Place had maybe 6 customers in at the most. After being seated, 5 min go by no drink order yet but we got chips and salsa. The waiter came about 5 min after that because apparently the person that brings the chips can’t do it. Got drinks and order was placed. Food came out quick. Food was really good always has been. It’s one of my favorite lunch spots during the week. Once food was delivered, never saw the waiter again. No drink refills, no check. Went to counter and waited to pay. 10 min later a lady came to the register and asked me I was picking up or eating in. I said no, I want my check since no one is willing to wait on me. She gave me the bill, I paid, then she said you don’t have to be so rude, I didn’t wait on you!!! Wow. Ok. Once a week customer lost.

We’ve been wanting to try Mexican for awhile and finally made it here for lunch. Everything was good! Mango margaritas very nice but not much tequila. Fajitas good, burritos good, service decent. I’d def go back

Great food! Can taste the freshness. I’m vegan & enjoyed an awesome vegetable burrito! My family had meat dishes which they also enjoyed. All 3 of us finished our dishes! Yummy

I love this place, very friendly. Food is great my family and I love the steak & chicken fajita. It’s three of us and we share one. I recommend this place to anyone.

I visited there all the way from Miami on ½/​2016 and decided to give it a try. The salsa was not fresh made. The waiter was rough around the edges and not very knowledgeable on the meals. He said they had no house specialty and when my husband asked for the drinks he pointed him to the menu. My husband ordered a carne Assad which was $ 15 and It esa literally thin as a leaf and no flavor. I ordered shredded meat enchiladas and got lots of beans and rice. The shredded meat was very bland no taste. We were charged $ 30.99 for a carne Assad an enchilada a Coke and a sweet tea. Worst spent money ever. The waiter didn’t ask if we needed refills. The food was so bad I literally took it home for the dogs. Please check other options if you are in the area.

Nice atmosphere and staff. The food was decent if a tad costly, including the kids meals which were almost $ 6 each. The salsa was nice, with big chunks of onion, and both mild and hot varieties were served. I enjoyed the fajitas, although I was unable to locate anything on the menu with more grilled vegetable selection such as broccoli, squash, mushrooms, etc. The chicken fajita’s only came with green peppers and onions grilled which were good, but I would have preferred more vegetable availability. Staff was very friendly.

Sadly this restaurant is fastly running downhill. The chips and salsa were bland not a flavor to be tasted. We were charged $ 4.25 for a small, and I mean small, side of Guacamole. Outrageous! The staff acts as if you are interrupting them, hmmmm. Maybe they should lock the doors and keep PAYING customers out! At one point we had someone different handling our table and this last visit they lost our order. Only after we asked where our food was did they check. They forgot to put the order in. Really? We sat there for forty minutes and the staff didn’t wonder, for themselves, why we were just sitting there??? We have been coming here, to this location at Bayshore and PSL Blvd since they opened. At one point we were there so much that when we walked through the door the servers already had our beverages on their way to the table as we were sitting down. Now that was good customer service… not anymore. The restaurant must have changed hands or different family members are running it. I don’t know but it certainly is not for the better. Sorry but it will be a very long while until we return especially since a Pollo Tropical and Tijuana Flats are coming to SLW. So long Pueblo!

I’ve been to this Pueblo Viejo several times, but the last time I visited was a disappointment. I ordered an enchilada and it tasted like bread, chicken and cheese. No spices, so salt — it was very bland. I am Latina so I know what to expect from Latin food. I, along with the rest of my party of 4, were unhappy with our meals. I wouldn’t recommend this location.

All Mexican Restaurants vary, even among the Pueblo Viejos in Port St Lucie. The one I love is the one at the Winn Dixie Shopping Center on PSL Blvd. And Bayshore. Always great service and wonderful food and I have been there a lot. Servers friendly and give you anything you want. A hallmark in service! Obviously good management. I highly recommend my favorite– Enchilada Mixtas and the Shrimp Cocktail. Prices are good too! I also like the ones in St Lucie West and Morningside.

The chips and salsa are a good start when first arriving. The food is eh, pretty good and have been a couple times. Not too crazy about the place but don’t dislike it either.

Every time we’ve been here it’s delicious! Love the 2 for 1 margaritas!!! Food portions were huge! The combos were soo yummy! Be sure to try the cheese dip it’s super creamy!

My friends and I stopped at This restaurant on our road trip because we saw the reviews on Unilocal.It exceeded our expectations we ordered 5 different dishes and they all were phenomenal! Our server was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Highly recommended!

Ive been going to this place for years, I am truly a fan of their food, free nachos and salsa, very reasonable prices and very friendly staff. I always have a great meal here.

Bland cheese dip.
Mushy food.
Iffy service.
$ 30 for two.
Calories wasted.

The food here use to be great. But it was terrible and boarder line inedible the last two times I ate here. My brother had a bad experience as well. New management? Or just lower standards? I won’t return.
