Unless you like eating roaches stay clear of this place. We went there Saturday night and after we ordered our drinks we looked over at the sushi bar and noticed a roach climbing up the wall. We quickly paid for our drinks and said we had to leave. I was so disgusted.

Aki is the go-to Port Washington sushi restaurant! The Triple Spice Roll is amazing and the restaurant is very clean and inviting.

Decent sushi but the rudest and most obnoxious management/owner ever. After eating here both inside and takeout, for over a year, looks like it’s back to Yamaguchi, line or not. Tip, keep that guy away from the customers if you want to stay in business.

My kids’ idea of Japanese was tempura and teriyaki, until we tried Aki — and now the kids ask to go out for spicy tuna. Quality fish. Inventive dishes. Nice ambience too.

Came here for lunch because the line for Yamaguchi was out the door. It really was not good. Kani salad had a bit of an after taste but still okay. The sesame chicken is what did me in. 60% possible that it was dog and I really love puppies. My brother is also a vessel for any food you provide him and he didn’t finish his sushi, so I knew there was an issue. I won’t go back.

6 stars! Yeah it’s that good. The maki is the best for miles around. It’s easy to tell they only use the highest quality fish, and their chefs are on their«A» game. The presentation of the food isn’t way over the top like you are at some places but that is because they have actual skill in making good sushi and don’t need to hide behind flowery gimmicks. This place is the real deal. The ambiance is so soothing. They keep the restaurant just a little Dark and quiet which I love. They have very modern and tasteful décor. I love the bar and bar-back. They installed these lights with bubbling water that slowly changes color. Maybe it sounds corny, but I really like it and so does my girlfriend. They have a 15% off coupon in the flier and menu if you can get a hold of it. It applies to orders $ 25 and over which we were just barely able to hit with 3 roll lunch for two. The seating is very comfortable and plentiful. The booths are some of the biggest I’ve ever seen. If your into really high quality sushi and you don’t want to be disappointed give this place a try.

Terrible service. I put in an order on a fairly significant night for my family. My brother had to wait over 40 minutes to get that order although we had put the order in well in advance. They not only exhibited terrible service but also terrible comportment in their relations and inhumanity in the way they interacted with us. I would NEVER go here again.

Good for a quick lunch. Their tempura udon is great, and beef soba is good. I like the fish tank though. It makes up the atmosphere. I also like the round sofa setting.

Aki may have the best Sushi on Long Island. The place is beautiful and compact for a great night out with any group size. They offer some of the best salmon sushi I have ever had. In addition the staff is wonderful, from waitresses to their upper management James. Every time I go their to eat, James makes sure he treats his customers like kings. I will definitely continue to patronize this restaurant.

I dined at Aki today for lunch, I’ve been there before and always have a had a good experience. The food is consistent and the service as well, I particularly enjoy the darker setting of the restaurant giving off a more intimate feeling. I would recommend this venue for Asian fusion fans!

Hands down best sushi restaurant in Port Washington. The food is always fresh and delicious. Extensive menu with many options to choose from. My favorite rolls are the port washington, samurai and volcano. The sushi pizza is also amazing. The salmon is excellent. The service good and consistent. The prices are also fair. Overall, an excellent choice for sushi. Highly recommend.

Aki is a well-known gem for Port Washington locals. For all intensive purposes, Aki is the go to for quality Japanese food(more particularly sushi). They have all the staple items and quite a selection of specials like the Aki Sushi Pizza, which is an amazing appetizer. Their specialty items and rolls can get a bit pricy, but overall it’s what you would expect(both quality and price-wise) for a suburban Japanese restaurant. I don’t give 5 stars unless I’m absolutely blown away. For a Wednesday night with decent food, Aki is a great option(arguable the best) for Port Washington Japanese. Unfortunately, it’s a little more expensive and the restaurant ambiance isn’t stellar, which is why I would knock off a star.

I’m not a sushi person really. It’s hard when you have a shell fish allergy. The whole family wanted sushi so I was in. I had the spicy tuna. It was the best spicy tuna I’ve had which means a lot. I will have it again soon. Yummy!!!

Wanted to get away a little and hopefully not see anyone i knew so i came here and i was soooo happy i did! I finally found a sushi place that actually knows what gluten is! They are so helpful here and really let you know what your ordering. The waitress also brought me some gluten free soy sauce and helped me order with my 23894728975 questions. I got the spicy tuna ball which was AMAZING! There were macadamia nuts in it! I also got a special roll which was spicy tuna and 4 different types of caviar on every 2 pieces. Another hit roll that i lovee is avocado and macadamia nuts you get the creaminess and the crunch all in one bite! YUMMM! Ive been here twice and loved it both times! The first time i sadly did end up seeing people i know but it was worth it for the food i had here. This is my new sushi place! I LOVEIT!

I really like the food here, but the service is a bit weird. The waitresses are almost too fast. I like to enjoy my meal and make it last more than 25 minutes. They try to take your order the second you sit down, and then the food is out within minutes. This is good if you are in a rush, but not if you want to enjoy your meal. It can get crowded at dinner time, so make a reservation.

Nice, intimate atmosphere. Great service! Delicious Food. Fresh, thick sashimi cuts– I don’t eat sashimi, but my boyfriend said their sashimi was really good. The best part is that they have a vegetarian dragon roll. I’m so used to the generic vegetable roll selection at many Japanese restaurants. Their vegetarian dragon roll was very unique and amazing! I will be returning to Aki Asian Fusion again!

I so wanted to like this place. Atmosphere is nice, kids like the water & light show on the walls and counter. Booths are comfortable for a big guy like me. That’s where the positives end for me. Now to why they get 2 stars… and I am being generous. The waitstaff need personalities and a lesson on how to take care of customers. First… I don’t think the waitresses here know how to smile. They ask if we want drinks and give us a menu but that’s it. There has never been staff at the door to greet us when we come in. Maybe its just happens to be when we go, but they are not there, so we have to get the attention of the sushi guy at the back of the restaurant to have a waitress seat us. My wife and I usually order the same dishes we order when ever we go to any Japanese place. She gets spicy tuna rolls and I usually do Philadelphia rolls. Food is decent at best and a little on the bland side. My wife noticed how her spicy tuna roll was a little mushy and wasn’t holding together like a roll should(more on that later) Not one time did the waitress come over to ask how our food was or to ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks(no free refills on soda at this place… little annoying) We had to wait about 10 minutes for the waitress to come back after we were done eating to ask for the check. There was only one other table with people… can only imagine the service when there aren’t crickets chirping in this place. O.k. so both this establishment’s food and minimal service is on the bland side… so why 2 stars? Well, when my wife is hugging our toilet a couple of hours later because of what she ate there, then you finally decide to take the time and review this establishment.(don’t think fresh tuna should be mushy) This place gets 2 stars only because of atmosphere and they seem to be pretty clean. Eat here only if you must. Unless you can clear your schedule a couple hours later to deal with what ever issue you may have from eating here. There are better choices in Port than this place.

Let’s make this simple. Compare Aki to the other Asian restaurants on Main St.(Bonsai & Yami’s) they’re all about the same. Yami has better entrees — Aki’s sushi is just as flavorful but their creativity and presentation easily rein supreme as does the atmosphere. But overall food is mediocre at best. Their service is, simply put, a joke. It’s not coincidence that I’ve had 3 consecutive sub par waiters… not greeted at the door, not poured a glass of water nor asked for drinks when seated, failed to clear table. Bottom line Aki’s staff was hired by a two year old. My waitress even tried to serve us the wrong meal, then proceeded to try the same move with the people sitting across from us. Service is overall just a bust. By no means does this place deserve 5 stars, with all due respect.

Ordered delivery and it came in an astounding 20 minutes! The sushi rolls I got were fresh and very tasty. Next time I’ll go to the actual restaurant(hopefully it’ll stay open longer than the other past restaurants)
