What a truly unique and quaint bistro this is. It appeals to my romantic side.(All that’s missing is the man I want the romance with!) I have eaten here only three times, but each time I return, it just gets better. Other mother and I came here Friday evening. We had a glass of Cabernet and pâté with most wonderful french bread to start. The last time we were here we ordered the mussels, which were delightful, and we were thinking of a replay, but the special happened to be a seafood boullebaise cooked with fennel. It took a lot of restrain for me to not lick the remains of the bowl after eating all but the shells from the fish, after all, I am not savage! To accompany that we shared a roasted beat salad which was dressed to perfection.(I cannot stand when people overdress salad and you have over saturated soggy greens.) The grand finale was poached pear with slivered almonds and a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. Sheer perfection, not to mention present and attentive service without being overbearing. Five stars indeed!!!

The food is just meh, which I can overlook if service is great & people are friendly. The service & people here are neither. Refused to let my party of 4, with a reservation, sit at a booth despite the entire restaurant being empty. Three different people refused us before we embarrassingly just sat in the middle of the restaurant at a 4 top. My mothers Dover sole was mush & the steak was overcooked. The pasta special was the best dish of the night. No one asked how our meal was or refreshed our drinks. Nothing special and the fact that they’d rather argue than appease their clientele is all I need to know.

This place is amazing! We love them so much we had them host my husband’s birthday party and our engagement party. They have the best calamari, french onion soup, hanger steak, mussels, braised short ribs. I can’t wait to go back again!

The only thing I’ll ding them for is the very, very long wait time between appetizers and dinner(it wasn’t pacing, unless pacing includes trying to starve your clientele). Other than that, the food was great and the service was friendly, if not especially prompt. Both my friend and I had the roast chicken with vegetables and french fries; just perfectly cooked. The French onion soup was also very good. I was too full for dessert, which, that’s a rarity. Anyway, I loved it, and I recommend it!

Great food! I come here all the time! Drinks are pretty good as well. This is only place I’ll eat calamari! They also have a decent brunch menu. Good prices, friendly service! They use to have these yummy little cheesecakes– they should totally bring it back, however their other desserts are just as yummy! Cant wait to go back!

This place has never let me down. The ambiance is great, friendly staff and most importantly the food and drinks are exquisite. Make sure to reserve a table, especially on the weekends because they do fill up and sometimes they do private parties for brunch, so make sure to call ahead.

Le P’tit Framboise has always been our go to place for good bistro French food, friendly service and reasonable prices. You think you know everything about one of your faves and then you learn something new; THEYSERVEBRUNCH! And what a brunch it is. $ 19 gets you a Mimosa, Bloody Mary or OJ. Take your pick of classic Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine or one of four delicious omelets and loosen your belt while you wait for your order. All of the above include French bread, a sweet croissant, house made sausage, bacon and the best roasted potatoes anywhere! Brunch menu also includes pain perdu(French Toast) or pancakes. Someone in your party want lunch instead? Another dozen delicious offerings at a la carte prices. To find a fine brunch at reasonable prices is wonderful; to find it locally in one of your favorite restaurants is awesome! Thanks to Enio and his fine staff I had brunch in Paris… without leaving Port Washington.

Few years ago went to this supposedly cute French bistro. I did like the interior but dinner didn’t live up to expectations. Overpriced tasteless food. Service was not making it any better. Today I decided to give them another chance! We walked in to sit at the bar and have few drinks first. Host/I assumed the manager was sitting at the bar with his laptop– walked over to us and told us that we cannot sit at the bar because there is no bartender! There was a group of girls standing at the bar drinking cocktails. I was very confused and asked him second time that we would love to have a drink at the bar. His response to us: sit at at table– I have only two servers today. Excuse me but it is not my problem that you are understaffed. We walked out right away! Can’t understand how difficult it is for him to pour 2glasses of wine??? What manager in this world is sitting at the laptop in front of the costumers during brunch time??? His attitude, inefficiencies of running the business and prior bad experience with food will keep me away forever!!!

Good neighborhood spot with friendly service. Been a number of times and dependably good. Tonight had special Pork Shank, which was terrific. This is not something I see on menus, and pork is often tough, but this was fall off the bone tender and had a delicious sauce to accompany.

Stepping in from a hot and humid weekend evening found us in a well-lit, lively atmosphere. The first course of calamari was very tender, and the ginger spice added a very unique flavor. The main course, the seafood fettuccine, was very flavorful and hearty in size. In fact, the sauce would make a great soup broth. The service was pleasant and attentive. Only issue was the volume. It was a bit noisy, which made it difficult to converse with company. Overall, I would definitely recommend it.

Had dinner here with my husband for our anniversary. The décor was nice, but the restaurant was tightly crowded and very loud! However, the excellent food and service really stood out. Hubbie had the cassoulet and the shepard’s pie and polished them both off. I had the French onion soup(nice and cheesy!) and the duck tacos(LOVED the slice of orange!). Dessert was also spectacular. Will definitely go back!

My husband and I love this place and have been coming here for several years now. We have also been to the other French Bistro restaurant«Bistro Citron» in Roslyn, which has a similar menu and equally good food, but La P’tite Framboise is in a perfect location near Port Washington harbor and alongside the quaint shops on Main Street. Their menu offers authentic French Bistro food, plus their décor and ambience actually make you feel as if you really are in a local bistro in Paris. The seating space can be tight on weekend nights, especially Friday nights, and the noise level can be high but this, along with their crusty baguettes served with country butter and chicken pâté spread, as well as their bistro menu options, is in fact what gives you that authentic Paris bistro experience. But, if you prefer to dine when it is a little quieter, you should come early around 5:30−6pm or on a weeknight from Sun-Thursday, which we find is less crowded. As for the food, every dish we have tried is simply delicious. But our favorites are their mussels(always, consistently good) their Confit de Canard(the duck skin is crispy, the meat is juicy, not too fatty, and it is served over delicious lentils and spinach), their Coq au vin(chicken slowly simmered in red wine reduction with broad noodles — mouthwatering hearty!) and their Boeuf Bourguignon(tender beef stewed in burgundy wine reduction served here over creamy mashed, great too!). Note: This latter entrée is only found on their Prix fix menu, which you have to ask the server for, as it is not always available. As for their wine list, I find that they have decent wine pairings available for every entrée I have tried. Their desserts are also delicious, most especially their apple tart(Tarte tatin), their profiteroles and their pear tart(which is served with freshly made vanilla ice cream). In fact, all of their desserts are out of this world delicious. Their service is very friendly and attentive. However, on one Friday night that we had invited friends to try this place, the manager was not there and we were dismayed that we encountered an unusually aggressive host(first and only time we saw him), who seemed to be annoyed with every dining guest there, making us all unhappy. Since we are restaurant owners and understand anyone can have a bad day, but also know how one bad host can adversely impact your guests’ loyalty, I gently approached this host on the side about his inhospitable behavior and he seemed surprised, but changed his tone afterwards. We are sure this was a one-time bad experience because all of the other hosts(as well as the manager), have always been very kind to us and very welcoming, and the food as well as the ambience is great too, so we plan to continue dining here regularly.

I really wanted to like this place, it has all the pieces of a great restaurant and reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants but something just didn’t click. While I’m willing to overlook mediocre food(my chicken was pretty dry + bland and the salmon was overcooked), the service was pretty bad. It started off OK, but after sitting around with empty plates for north of 15 minutes and making eye contact with managers, nobody came to see what was going on… turns out our waitress wasn’t feeling well, and left. She didn’t tell us and we were essentially sitting around waiting for somebody who wasn’t there — eventually a waiter came by and realized we were a forgotten table haha. We’ll definitely go back to try other things off the menu and given them another shot — maybe it was an off night?

The service over the past year has gone down hill. We recently visited and were charged more than what we signed for! When we called and spoke with a «manager» he could not offer a clear explanation and proceeded to further insult us by suggesting we did not have the funds to cover the bill. Calls to the management group went unanswered. I guess they don’t care either. We will never return.

Looking for solid go to staples in our new ‘hood, we walked into LPF with no expectations. The space was cozy with some booths and more tables scattered amongst the room. The staff was young but seem to know their stuff. We walked in with no reservation and was still promptly seated. I loved the complimentary pâté and butter given with the crusty french baguette basket. Nice start to our meal for sure. Tried to order the tart flambé but apparently they weren’t offering that night… ok…so opted for the escargot. We both felt that there was too much parsley in the garlic butter mix. Still the snails weren’t overcooked. When I try a new french place I like to order the poulet roti my first time dining there. I feel like you can tell a lot by how they execute this dish. Sadly it wasn’t memorable… some parts were dry why other parts of the half chicken didn’t seemed cooked through. My dinner partner had the hanger steak frites and he enjoyed it immensely. Service was very good and attentive. Will give this place another try and update. But for now it’s a solid 3 for me…

This is among the top 5 restaurants in Port Washington. It’s an exceptional spot for a romantic dinner with great staff who ensure you have the experience you’re looking for. The food is wonderful. Just about anything on their menu is delicious, but if you’re not sure or you’re ready to try something different, ask the waiter for a suggestion. Any time I’ve experienced an issue the waiter, host or manager has always made it right. My favorite dishes are the brie toast, the calamari(which is sweet), steak with herb butter, mussels, and almost any type of ravioli they make. Friends rave about the Mac and Cheese and the goat cheese tart. I haven’t ever eaten something here I didn’t like. The bartender is exceptional and will mix you something standard or tell him what you like and he’ll make you something delicious. Update: I love this place so much that I’ve now hosted an anniversary party and a 60th birthday party here. Not only was the food exactly what I would expect, but the wait staff and manager ensured, yet again, that everyone had a wonderful experience. Everyone still commends my choice of restaurants and when they visit me(from all over the country) usually ask to have dinner here.

I went to La P’tite Framboise a few weeks ago and I have to say, this place is not the greatest. The selection was mediocre and the service was pretty slow. They have a good beer menu though! A better suggestion would be to dine at Chez Noelle, also in Port Washington.

Excellent service paired with excellent food and drinks? My kinda place:) I might add that is review is solely based on their food for private events. My family recently used this venue for a private party of about 40 people and everything went even better than expected. For starters, the waitstaff is extremely attentive with drink orders and made sure everyone in our party had something to eat and drink at all times. The bloody Marys were a huge hit with our group! More than a few left happy and tipsy. While we had open bar there were also waiters who refilled orders and who constantly made sure everyone was happy. — The starters that were served were my personal favorites, they bring out lovely toast points with an assortment of tuna tartar, cheese and pâte. The fresh rolls are also a crowd pleaser, everyone enjoyed the rolls and butter — For the first course, their French onion soup is a winner. It was probably the best I’ve ever had, creamy and delicious without being too rich. — The entrees offered included pumpkin ravioli, seared salmon, steak and a chicken dish. No complaints were heard, all dishes were presented beautifully and the ravioli was particularly good.
I highly recommended this place for anyone trying to host an event in the Long Island area. The owners truly work with what you like and try to accommodate any request. I’ll now definitely be coming back just for a nice dinner since I know that this place is solid.
