BEWAREOFATMCARDSKIMMERS. I had $ 1006 stolen from my checking account after using this ATM. Thieves place card skimmers on the atm machine and then record your PIN, then generate a fake card using your info.

This 7 – 11 has been spiraling this neighborhood downward into the bowels of hell over the last few months. Violent crime. Drug dealers. No accountability by the police, or the staff. In fact, tonight the guy that rang me up was by far the highest person on meth I have ever seen– the wide leg stance, the crazy flailing limbs and… Sigh. Heroin junkies passed out up against the glass within arm’s reach to the front door at 7pm on a weekday. Crack dealers at the bus stop all day everyday. More often than not, someone will ask you for money on your way out. Or just stare you down. I think I stopped appreciating the snickers ice cream bars available to me 24 hours a day in my neighborhood when my neighbors were chased down by two men from this 7 – 11, one with a gun and one with a hammer, and one man was beaten several times in the head with said hammer so his iPhone could be pried from his hand. Yeah, they got away. Look it up. The staff doesn’t seem to care to sweep away the lurkers from this store front. The thing is, these lurkers are different and local residents are getting seriously hurt. I’ve personally called the cops a few times over the last few weeks from 7 – 11 related incidents. This is no where near close to acceptable, by any means. Take this irresponsible, dangerous, and downright scary corporate establishment out of our neighborhood. It doesn’t bring anything you can’t get 5 minutes from here in any direction. Come stand in the parking lot for five minutes after 12:00 noon if you doubt any of this is true. There’s a reason there aren’t any other 24-hour markets in this neighborhood. For being less than 10 blocks from a cop shop, this 7 – 11 is a fucking disgrace. We deserve better. Zero stars.

Nice new 7-Eleven in the neighborhood, woo hoo! Love this place for late night munchies or last minute grab and Go. Bright & clean. I’ve been hoping they’ll open one up on NE Dekum and 18th to replace the trashy, scary mini-mart that exists there.

YAY!!! I have wanted and waited and waited for a 7-Eleven to be put in my neighborhood for 10 years now. «Why?», you ask… When you are craving a Slurpee, NOTHING else will suffice. This is a brand new location. Very clean and nice inside. Love it! Welcome to the neighborhood.

I was a bit distressed to hear of a 7Eleven opening in this location. Like many people, I’d rather see a small mom-and-pop business than another corporate franchise, and the traffic at 15th and Alberta was already a royal pain, but damned if I haven’t been there four times since they opened a little over a week ago. It’s a bit small as 7Elevens go, but it has the essentials, not to mention the requisite Slurpee machine, as well as decent hot food(Big Bites, pizza, mini tacos, etc.). I have to agree with Doug R. and say the other two convenience store choices, both less than a block away, are dingy and rundown. This place is nice and clean. I’ve seen three downsides. They’re still training the new staff, so be patient. Two, they don’t take EBT yet, but that should be resolved soon. Lastly, and most importantly, the parking lot is VERY tiny, and the traffic at the intersection is nuts already. You’ll probably want to park on the street, perhaps a side street, and use caution.

Oh, thank heaven indeed. I’ve been lusting after this opening since a friend and neighbor told me the mysterious construction in this long vacant building was going to be a 7-Eleven. Because let’s consider the alternatives. Next block down we have a half empty building, looks like it used to be one of those IGA style mini-grocery stores, run by a guy who has never said anything to me other than how much whatever I was buying cost. Kitty corner we have a place that smells like something died in the back room(they advertise halal meats, so maybe they dry age them in the store?) that looks like their core competency is selling forties. Down the street is a new place that’s a little more friendly than store A and a little less stinky than store B, but still isn’t very good. And now, 7-Eleven. Clean, well-stocked, friendly, quality assured 7-Eleven. The Big Bites are good, the pizza is wack and they have mini tacos that are actually pretty spicy. For me, anyway. Welcome to the neighborhood. I feel the need for another Big Gulp already.
