This is the newest 7-Eleven in the family. I’m pretty sure this is the one they railed against — seeing as how St. Johns already has 2 or 37-Elevens. Some of them slightly(to very) shady. But for what it is, this one is probably the best of the bunch. DONUTCAVEAT — there’s my caveat again. I’m doubling up and reveiwing both the store and it’s donuts with one review… 3 stars. This is, without a doubt — the cleanest and nicest 7-Eleven of the brood. Very well lit, friendly person behind the counter. I would even go here at night without too much concern that a shooting might take place. Not too much in the way of prepared foods there(maybe that’s a good thing, and of course it was 8:00 in the morning — so they might not bring out the taquitos or whatever till after 10). DONUTS:I like em. They cost a dollar or less, the fancier ones a tad more. They also have mini donuts(not donut holes) and they are super cute! I had a glazed and a mini Boston Cream Pie. The cream donut was pretty good, a but flaky and not partcularly heavy. A good amount of cream — even in the baby donut. The glazed looks so very cookie cutter, not home-ade that I almost got something else instead of my classic standard. But I was pleasantly surprised. Are they as fresh and homeade as Heavenly — no, but they are lighter — which I tend to like. So yes, gentle reader, I will go forth and purchase donuts here again… after I’ve tried some others, of course!
