Ambridge Event Center

Great staff, very helpful, they try hard to make sure everything is set up correctly and that the customer (i.e. renter of the venue) it’s happy.
Their catering is mostly sub– contracted out, but the vendors the use are excellent, the food is great and cost is market competitive.
My company uses this venue frequently for meetings, training/​workshops and other events. I’m the meeting coordinator for my department, so it’s very important too me that everything with the venue goes smoothly.
A couple of not so great things about this venue:
* PARKING is extremely limited. The on-​site lot has maybe 12 spaces (?) I have arrived at 7:15am before and all the spaces were full. If you need to unload boxes, supplies, etc. this can be very frustrating.
* WiFi frequently has poor or no connectivity. On two different occasions I could not connect to the Ambridge wifi network.
If there was more parking and more reliable wifi then I would rate Ambridge 4 stars instead of just 3 stars.

Girls World Expo LOVES the Ambridge Event Center! What a great place to have an event. They are real pros, everything was turn key for us. The space is in great shape and the staff is helpful, friendly, happy and smart. They were quick to take care of any concerns and always had great suggestions to improve our event. We would recommend Terry and his crew to any organization looking for a venue.

Really impressed. I took a tour of this business last week and was very surprised at both the elegance of the interior and the flexibility of spaces that they offer. It’s especially surprising given the nondescript exterior — it’s kind of hard to even notice the building, even though it takes up an entire city block. But inside you’ll find reserved but stylish décor, as well as dozens of surprisingly beautiful paintings in the halls. I’ve seen my fair share of ballrooms and big meeting spaces, but this is the first time I remember actually being impressed with one. Highly recommended.

have been to a few events here. the building is extremely clean and well maintained. the staff is very nice and helpful. free parking. would recommend to others.
they are a great place for school auctions and fundraisers!
and FYI — the old reviews are about their old building. they have moved to a much nicer building ! (yes the old one WAS terrible! haha)

recently attended a wedding here. it was a very great place for that type of event. the bar was positioned in a good place too (that’s the key metric!)
the food was excellent,. they served a plated meal of salmon, steak, and ravioli. it was all delicious.
the staff was very nice and helpful as well. would definitely recommend this place.

I’ve spoken a couple of times at the Ambridge Event Center’s recently-​opened brand new location which is a huge improvement over its previous facility (now closed) just a few blocks away which was indeed quite dated. The new Center compares quite favorably to other modern conference centers I’ve been to over the last couple of years. The conference rooms are comfortable and I love that most of them have windows which let in natural light, a feature which is oftentimes missing in hotel conference centers. As a speaker who thinks a lot about acoustics, I was pleased with how my voice sounded under amplification. The food, which the Center prepared, was delicious. I love that that the chef grows the herbs he uses in a garden on the Center’s rooftop. The staff also impressed me with their friendliness and helpfulness and were quite responsive to all my requests.

I went to a two day conference here. It had free parking and the staff was very nice. That’s the best I can say for it. The food they catered was bland and reminded me of hot lunches in the school cafeteria. The facility is tired and uncomfortable. There are signs everywhere announcing weddings and special events can be held there; that’s rather far fetched, to think of this as a reception hall. From the peeling carpet on the front steps to the chairs and dining table in the women’s bathroom, it’s just not that kind of place. The little courtyard, surrounded by cracked windows, was mossy and moldy. No, it isn’t fancy or even modern. It is unimpressive but workable for little meetings and work stuff, if you don’t expect much, but not for a grand affair.
