Appliance Ranchers

So we finally settled via some cash a week or two ago, after filing complaint with BBB. The settlement was roughly half the cost of labor to install the vinyl, and the company did purchase the vinyl so I would say it was fair. It would be five stars if this had happened in June, or July, but it is October. so yea. No complaints, just wouldn’t personally use them again.

Needed a small switch for our microwave. They are open late and I left with 2 switches no charge. Thank you!

When I say «worst ever,» let me be specific. The man comes over to my house, fixes NOTHING, and talks my wife out a check for $ 275 so he can order two igniters at $ 100 a pop (they’re a lot cheaper if you look for them yourself online) and a drain part to fix our leaky refrigerator — a minor job. Since when do you pay up front for a job that isn’t done, without even so much as a receipt? That’s a huge red flag right there. It takes him a whole week to come back, at which point he comprehends that he only needed one igniter to begin with. What kind of diagnostic is that? He installs the one igniter and informs us that he can’t fix the refrigerator. It’s just beyond his skill. Refunds $ 45, so we paid $ 230 to fix one part, for which we were handsomely overcharged; our refrigerator still leaks; and he didn’t even make out a receipt. Can you spell «shenanigan?» This fly-​by-​night outfit is a disgrace. I’m just sharing exactly what happened. I wouldn’t call «Appliance Ranchers» to sharpen a pencil.

Lots of options, great service. We bought an older mismatch washer & dryer for under $ 300. They have performed beautifully for two-​plus years.

Friendly in store, terrible follow-​up/​follow-​through. We will never use them again.
They’ve not shown up to three appointments in a row without communication or notice. We’ve asked for the charge to our credit card for the part they ordered be refunded, and that has not happened either. No one seems to answer the phone these days, for service or the shop, and no one has returned any of the last 3 messages I’ve left. Too busy for their britches maybe, their service is suffering greatly.

I called this place on a Friday around 4:30pm because my fridge had stopped working hoping they could send someone out the next day because everyone else in town couldn’t send someone out till next Monday at the soonest. You get Matt’s (the repair technician) numbers directly to talk to. He told me he would come out in an hour or so. JACKPOT! He was right on time and super friendly. I hung out with him while he fixed my fridge and also learned he was the owner and the entire business was family run mainly by his sons. He told me they prioritize fridge repair over any other appliance repairs due to the obvious reasons (food spoilage etc.) which I’m not sure if other repair places do but its definitely a great rule since I’ve literally lost hundreds of dollars worth of food every time my stupid refrigerator breaks on me. Anyway he fixed the fridge in about 40 mins then even gave me a good deal on the repair! 90 days warranty as well. Definitely only using these guys for any future appliance repairs in the future. A+

I recently had a chest freezer stop working on me, and in a desperate search to save her I called Appliance Ranchers to see what our options were.
Their field service man, Matt, took my call and walked me through the possible issues and their solutions. After fiddling around for a bit, Matt took my call again and suggested I bring a part in for inspection and replacement — we diagnosed the starter run/​relay as the potential issue together. I took it by their shop, and Jim found me a used replacement part that I could try out. Needless to say, I took it home, installed it, and the freezer compressor started right up.
Neighbors helping neighbors out — I really appreciated their down to earth and honest communication, and they were immensely helpful. Saved me from having to get a new chest freezer!

i recently had Matt from appliance ranchers repair my sister in laws refer. This is the second time i have used his company and was very pleased both times
Matt took my call late friday and was away at the beach but still offered to help me. he researched my problem and gave me suggestions what to try next.
we got enough done to keep things cold over the weekend and he came over monday and did a further diagnosis. then he offered to tell me where to get the part and how to put them in myself if i wished to save me money.
i figured i better have a pro do the work so he got the part and installed it with in an hour. he even called me the next day to make sure all was working
just so you know appliance ranchers is a family owned company that treats its customers like family. they strive to educate and inform their customers and help them save money on repairs. they recycle there appliances in house and inventory the useful and sometimes discontinued parts to give us a fighting chance to fix our appliances rather then having to buy new ones when something fails
it is refreshing in todays market place to find a company like this!
and he has a cool delivery truck too that looks like it has served him well!

I had a good experience buying a dishwasher and having them install it. They were sure friendly and personable during the sales/​installation portion of the experience.

If you need an appliance COME HERE. The people are down to earth, friendly, and not at all pushy. We came in for a washer and dryer set for $ 500 or less and found exactly what we wanted. They even hooked them up and showed them running for us. They do FREE delivery and installation and will even credit you for picking up your old appliances. Plus, there’s a brewery right across the street, so you can get drunk after your purchase.

On Sunday (of course!) our refrigerator began to make an awful sound. Sounded like a motor of some type. After trying to reach our appliance folks we usually use, I found Matt thru Unilocal.He quickly returned our call (after leaving a message on his fun answering machine!); had the part in stock, and came right over. Was fixed in 30 minutes, reasonable fees (not taking advantage of sunday) and refrigerator up and running! Earned our future business!

I have a few rental units, so dealing with appliances is something I have to do now and again. Matt’s at appliance ranchers is a great tech, always available when I need some appliance help. Highly recommended.

I went to Appliance Ranchers because they were the only ones that had the washer pump I needed at a reasonable price. All the other local businesses were charging substantially more. I went in to pick up the part and told them I’d never tried to fix a washer before and was trying to save my parents some money. Well, they were very supportive and actually demonstrated how to replace it on a washer! Well, it was a success thanks to their instruction and advice.

After being rescheduled (with very short notice — after waiting around most of the day) the service was quick and the appliance was working within 30 minutes of starting the diagnosis and repair.
Matt (the owner) was very nice. He was efficient.
The prices were reasonable, too.
We were given a «gentleman’s agreement» for 90-​days guaranteed. So far-​SO good!
I would recommend AND use this company again.

I bought a washer and a dryer from a very nice young man. I also bough a microwave. The washer broke and the guys fixed it. I called and they called back in a few days. They came over and diagnosed the problem, ordered a part when one wasn’t around and came back and fixed it. The microwave still works. It’s all good and I suppose I didn’t add to the pile of unwanted appliances this time. HA!

I can’t really say the quality of their work since no one returned my call for a service request. Spoke to John about a service call and he said he’d have «this old man» give us a call. Unsure if the father or son dropped the ball but my business must not seem too important to them.

Terrible home service! My husband and I tried using these guys twice. First time we were stood up 3 times with no phone calls or any communication whatsoever. We again decided to use them one more time and the same thing. Matt the owner gave us a 2 hour window and didn’t show up or call once again. Save your time and money with company.

These guys are great! Good service at the shop itself and nice equipment. Found a matched set, washer and dryer from a major name brand that was cheaper than craigslist and included a warranty, delivery, and installation!
Excellent service on delivery and install, will definitely use these guys again and call them for any and all repairs/​service!
