Great place to get a haircut. And cheap too. I’ve been going to Barber Q for 3 years now, and I’m never disappointed. The haircut is always well-done. The barber is friendly, I asked her about products to tame my crazy thick and dry hair and she was very knowledgeable. The shampoo that she told to use ended up working really well.

Barber-Q has three locations including this one in the Alberta Arts District, another in the Hawthorne District and another downtown next to Pioneer Square and Pioneer Place. The Barber-Q in the Alberta Arts District is close to a host of well-known shops and restaurants that liven up Alberta Street. I walked off the 72 line and Barber-Q was just two blocks away. After that, I went in and they were immediately able to cut my hair, unlike just about every time downtown. I tend to get buzzcuts and I don’t think this offers colors for the women who like them. There are different numbers for how low they cut your hair, 1 to leave the least hair and 5 to leave the most. Because for men the purpose is very much to lose hair, not to keep it the same, and that hair grows back, so I’d recommend telling them that 2 is your number. It took only about ten minutes and cost me only $ 11. The barber was very pleasant and is willing to converse with you. They don’t seem to have too many hair services besides cutting, but they do a good job with that. Barber-Q did leave a little too much hair because they forgot to run the hair dryer, but that only takes two minutes to work out. The black cape that they cover you with is actually comfy, which is rare for a barber and this was the one barber chair that I could enjoy at an office. I’ll leave a before and after picture, one from two days before and one from twenty minutes after. As for me, I’m 19, but I probably look like I’m 26. I can be quite large and I sometimes have that kind of formal composition and I often were good khakis. My hair was previously neat but not as organized. I like to look older in some ways with the experience and seriousness people give you, but not too much older and haircuts help. I don’t get as many of the«you don’t know what you’re talking about» look that is often merited because of what you see young people doing on the news. I think after my haircut that I could justify using that look at a date, just not the Academy Awards. For the most part, I believe others will agree. Barber-Q provides a proper haircut.

Great place in the Alberta Arts district to get your haircut. Friendly, and I always walk out lookin’ good. I’ve been going in here for about 2 years now. It’s cheap, too! Another nicety is you can help yourself to a water or soda while you wait.
