Delicious sandwiches! I love how cheap this place is for how good it is.

Have been meaning to try this place for a while, but given the mixed reviews and how far away it is, I kept procrastinating. But I can’t turn down boba, so when I had a mad craving today, I forced myself to suffer through the thirty minute bus ride out there. I got the BBQ pork banh mi and honeydew boba. It was pretty cheap… like 7.45 or something. The order came out really quickly. The sandwich was pretty good but certainly not the best. The bread was crispy and tasty but they could’ve been more generous with the fillings. Honestly, I prefer the BBQ pork at An Xuyen. The flavor was a bit strange on this one, but perhaps next time I will try just the regular grilled pork instead. But I will definitely be back because the boba was incredible! Some of the best boba I’ve ever had. The tapioca texture was perfect and the smoothie had a great melon flavor and was of a nice, smooth consistency. It took me about 15 minutes to drink and the boba never got hard, as it often does in slushies and smoothies. Next time I might come here just for the boba, but the sandwiches are pretty decent too and I’d like to try some of the desserts as well.

Different vibe here compared to Beaverton. No wheat bread option like Beaverton. Asked and they had no clue what I was talking about. They still make a good sandwich overall.

I give this a five for the combination of deliciousness and low pricing. Incredibly affordable Vietnamese sandwiches! Crispy, fresh bread, properly treated vegetables, not overly dressed, delicious meat — yum!

Yummy yummy vietnamese sandwiches and their vietnamese(french milk) coffee is on point here. This location conveniently has a drive thru which is nice because I was coming here on a lunch break! Baguette quality is good and the amount of meat and vegetables are pretty standard here. The unique item here is the viet tacos though. I’ve gotta try those out sometime!

I went back today and have to say service was much better. That’s why I gave them all five stars now. I got the grilled pork which was delicious, and a honey dew boba. Everything was so yummy. Plus the girl on the drive-thru today was so nice. I will definitely keep coming here.

First time going here!!! I gave it four stars because my sandwich(roast beef) was really good. Plus I really enjoyed the convenience of the drive through. However the customer service was awful to say the least. The girl on the drive through window charged me and handed me my sandwich with out a thank you or have a nice day. I did say thank you, and she responded no problem with her back already turned. :/I will give them a try again. I want to try their boba drinks.

As I was waiting for my order at the drive thru at Best Baguette, I noticed one of their staff(behind the sandwich bar) eating her own personal food and grabbing meat from the bar and putting it into her mouth.(All while she talking and chewing. Who knows what kind of things were flying out of her mouth into the food that were being served to the customers). I questioned the lady at the drive thru and she just laughed at me and closed the window behind her. Weren’t they just featured on Dirty Dining?

Best Banh-Mi’s in Portland. Love the Special Baguette and the Grilled Pork. So. Damn. Good. And for $ 3.5 it can’t be beat.

The food is great, but the girls behind the counter will trash talk you in vietnamese if you’re white. Also it seems like they’ve just recently started having problems with roaches.

Well-priced, filling sandwiches– we tried the pork(#4) which was very tasty, and the Paris ham(#12), which was fine but nothing special. The bread was fresh and enjoyable. The mango boba had a great mango flavor, though the tapioca balls strangely were quite varying– some were very hard, seeming frozen, some were perfect, and some were very chewy. The strawberry cake will prevent me from getting another pastry here. I’ll stick with the sandwiches and drinks! Quick, friendly service and decent food for the price overall.

Great service and love the sandwiches. One of the must go places whenever we come to portland(we’re from seattle). I typically order three special sandwiches for myself and my partner orders the three vegetarian ones. Wish this was in seattle!

There are so many pros here, but I only ever go through the drive through so I can’t comment on the inside, or the service. The meal: #4(grilled pork), double meat, veggies on the side, green tea blended boba. –Price: $ 8.95! Not sure where else in town you can get a sandwich, double meat and a smoothie for that price. –Bread was fresh and warm, crispy and soft. –Meat was a generous portion. I get a craving for this place one or twice a year and it’s always satisfied. The green tea + passion fruit boba is THE best.

For failing health inspection with a score of 65. Dirty dining reviewed this place and that’s disgusting. Cockroaches to not properly storing food. Lol.

The wait was a bit long but the egg white avocado croissant was so dang good, and huge! I love their bubble teas, especially the honeydew. Always tastes fresh and I had to put myself on restriction because I was becoming addicted to them, so yummy. Their baguettes are made fresh, you can see them making trays and trays of them, and they make everything to order it seems, hence the extremely long waits in the drive thru.

Pretty good banh mi. They have fresh sugar cane juice and juice it to order. Their pastries are super mediocre. There always seems to be flies buzzing around inside, which is kind of gross. The convenience factor of this banh mi chain is helpful and the fresh sugar cane juice helps put it over the top. It also has more Euro and vegetarian selections than other places for your friends with you who may not want a traditional banh mi. Otherwise, I might go to An Xuyen or even Lanvin

They have yummy sandwiches, but the customer service is terrible. I even spoke to her in Vietnamese and she still manages to get my order wrong. I asked for a number one with no jalapeño and I find jalapeño in it. And on my second sandwich for I wanted extra mayo and pâté. I end up with not extra, minimal and I confirmed with her TWICE. I asked for a side instead and they didn’t want to give it to me. The girl that took my order spoke in Vietnamese saying I didn’t say that I wanted extra and didn’t pay for it. Uh excuse me, I don’t mind paying for it but give me what I ask for.

Bahn mi and bubble tea = my staple hiking food. Dropped by here on the way to a day adventure at Mt. Hood. Menu choices were expansive and the #3 chicken and #1 regular bahn Mi were both very good, though the bread was a little crusty. Passion fruit and pineapple Bubble tea actually came out as a slushie, which I didn’t order, but it was hot outside and it was good — full of flavor without being too sweet. Having a drive thru is pretty handy, but since this isn’t really fast food, the line was long and slow at times, but it got the job done.

This is one of my favored places in PDX for Bubble/boba tea. I usually have the avocado smoothie. My wife loves the fresh squeezed sugar cane juice. The banh mi sandwiches are good too. The service is generally ok. They are not what I would consider friendly, but i don’t come here for the friendly workers. It can be slow at times while waiting for your sandwich. The drive through is also usually very slow. It feels like they could do a better job at streamlining the orders and serving the customers. One of my favorite boba/Vietnamese sandwiches in Portland. Just keep in mind that there may be a little wait for your food.

This is definitely a solid place to get Banh mi, but I don’t really go there for anything else. Here’s the breakdown: 4STARS for the above average banh mi that is quickly made with fresh-baked bread and decent ingredients. 3STARS for the bubble tea: the flavors are ok(taro flavor is all from powder which is par for the course), and the tapioca balls are usually fresh enough. 2STARS: AVOIDTHECHE(vietnamese dessert drink). It was really disappointing: pre-made, semi-dilute milk(it should be thick and rich), mostly consisting of bland coconut jelly and a little jack-fruit. It doesn’t at all compare to the che from Bambu only 2 blocks away. where for only $.50−1 more you get a larger portion, richer milk, and drinks made fresh with exactly the ingredients/fruits you like(like lychee, longan, palmseed, all the different jellies, etc).

Please excuse me while I throw my review on top of the rest of the pile. Not a bad choice if your parameters are«I got 10 bucks and 30 minutes.» The sammies are all in the 3 – 4 dollar range. I had the grilled pork(#4). It might be a little dry for some. Maybe a little austere on the ingredients. I was okay with it because I don’t like a huge lunch and I don’t like risking half my sammy falling onto the plate in public. The veggies were lightly pickled(rice vinegar, I think). They have bubble teas on offer but I didn’t partake. There’s a small but mighty bakery selection to tempt you. I had a sesame ball. I liked it enough to get 2 more to go. I bought a slice of tiramisu to share at home. It was not dessert-sweet but I liked it. As of this writing, my wife’s half is still residing in the fridge. Be strong, Nick.

Consider me sold and hooked. My first bahn mi and I loved it. It’s delicious and light but filling enough to be lunch. Lots of parking, a bright, clean, quick and efficient operation, the staff were just lovely. The even offer drive-thru service which is superb! For less than $ 4 I got a bacon sandwhich(not sure what type of bacon, but peachy nonetheless). I only wish it was more food in the sandwhich but then again, that’s one of the things I kinda like about it. Maybe just a scooch more veggies & meat. My friend had a bubble tea, other than those billions of annoying bubbles on the bottom, it was really good. We also got sesame ball for $ 1.50. Those things are HUGE. Everyone had a little bite of it and left me with 80% of it. I am so glad because I may just want to marry that fried almond ball! It’s probably more of a 3.5 for me, but I’m thrilled with the idea, the price, the look and the joy of it! I will be back!

pretty good-not only do they have the usual offerings, snacks and treats are available and they have a DRIVETHRU! I never heard of a Vietnamese shop offering this but hey, I’ll take the convenience. my sister is a big fan of this place and brought me here one day when we were visiting. average service and fast assembly. nothing really stands out in my mind but I know that I enjoyed the sandwiches(chicken, deli meat, and pork) I ordered for me and fam.

Only found this place driving to the Chinese supermarket, Fubon. After our shopping we decided we wanted to try the banh mi in portland. This place had a huge parking lot and even a drive through! Shocking how even vietnamese sandwich cafes have their own drive through. We ordered a #1 and the spicy chicken sandwich with a thai ice tea! The baguette is baked freshly on the premises and the baguettes were toasted and crunchy! Usually being from NY, I’m used to STUFFED banh mi’s, so when i received my sandwich orders I wasn’t impressed with how little they packed in my sandwich. But what do you expect from a $ 3.50 sandwich compared to a $ 5 packed banh mi in nyc. The thai chicken sandwich was good, not as spicy as I thought it would be. All in all the sandwiches would keep you will for just about 2 hours, and then you want dinner soon. It was a very busy place though, even at 4pm on a Saturday. I saw many people doing drive throughs and many people coming in and forming a long line inside. The ladies doing the sandwich packing and calling out numbers were quite rude! The customer service is not what I am used to.

My biggest complaint about Best Baguette is how damn far away it is. My second complaint is the baguette itself, the bread over at Binh Minh is far superior. Those are my only complaints though. The #1 banh mi dac biet is fantastic. Large, filled, and in charge. For only $ 3.25! I know bahn mis are the new burrito and everyone, I’m looking at you Yum Brands, is trying to cash in. There are a lot of places in town charging $ 8+ for bahn mi of equal or lesser quality. You can get two of these and a drink for the same price. The drive through is not the most efficient. First there are a lot of choices and it can be a bit overwhelming and their intercom can make communication a little difficult. Sandwiches are also made to order so it takes a little longer than you’re average fast food joint, but still, I love that they have a drive through. I’ve gone out of my way when going on road trips to hit up Best Baguette and the drive through really helps make the detour quicker. I the other sandwiches are pretty good too, but nothing beats the #1 for me
