I’ve had the board out in the water now about 5 times. It rides so good! Thank you Mike for being a quality dude and creating a quality NW product!

Mike made a 5’8″ plankton that catches everything. Ankle biters to overhead it’s a 1 board quiver. It was cheaper than a name brand pop out and I got to support a local shaper. Custom dimensions, custom glass, 5 –fin box option and it was ready after about two weeks.

I wanted something to take me from the long board to the short board but that would still be able to catch waves of the variety that Oregon’s coast could throw at me, mush to magic. Mike @ Black Fern drew up a concept of a retro-​fish with a more aggresive design that has made large powerful waves easier to catch and my ability to make mistakes on them without being bucked off my board more forgiving. Mike worked with me to take my progression to the next level and I have gone back to him for the rest of my boards since. Thanks Mike!
