I ordered a cake for a friend’s gender reveal party. When they cut into the cake, it looked just like a yellow cake inside. You could hardly tell it was pink and they had to ask me if they were having a boy or a girl. On top of that, the cake was over cooked. There was a «crust» to the cake that they should have cut off before frosting because the whole thing tasted off. I was very unsatisfied.

This place is blissful :) The sugar cookies with butter cream frosting are amazing! Perfectly chewy, intense vanilla flavor and delicate sweet frosting on the top. I could literally eat these all of the time… But I don’t think my body would like that much. I tried the little cupcakes, which were very good(even though I’m not a cupcake girl) Great bakery!

When I walk into this place, I want to love it. The smell is heavenly, and the cupcakes can look appetizing. Bliss used to be just that years ago. A friend of mine actually owned the place, and back then the cupcakes were divine. Since it’s sale, the quality has plummeted. I go in once a month or so for a good ol’ fashioned sugar cookie with frosting. To be honest, it’s the one thing they do right! Other than that, I find that all of their cupcakes I have tried(and that is upwards of 10 different kinds/times) are completely dry, lack depth and flavor, and have too little frosting and/or filling to cake ratio. In combination. they keep them cold so the buttercream is hard and well… as you can guess… even more moisture is drawn out from the cake. :(I can’t say this with truth, but if I were to guess I’d say that they don’t serve fresh cupcakes every day. I think they pawn off their day old, or even twice day olds as ‘fresh’. There’s just no way a cupcake can get that dry over the matter of a few hours. I’ll keep going back for my cookies, but no more cupcakes until they can bring them up to the level of Jones at the very least!

After being intrigued by the name and the décor, I decided to get their cupcakes for a family member’s birthday. Their Cupcakes were dry and customer service was lacking. The person behind the counter did not even bother to wait till I completed my transaction. And no they weren’t busy at the time. On a positive, they have vegan cupcakes. I’m definitely trying out other places for cupcakes and am in no hurry to return.

Visiting from Charlotte. We loved the mini-cupcakes! My favorite was the Breakfast in Bed. My daughter loved the Red Velvet and my wife choose the Mocha. We will come back. Very friendly and engaging service.

I haven’t been in Bliss for a long time. I had received a message from the new owner inviting me back in to try them again, but had not quite gotten around to it. Life gets in the way. Honestly we are not much of a cupcake eating bunch unless there’s a birthday party involved and then we’ve done Dessert Tray or Beaverton Bakery or even QFC. But Bliss is in our neighborhood and the tween said a cupcake sounds good after I botched an appt time and was feeling cranky. So I went in and picked up four cupcakes. It is very clean and bright inside. There are four or five tables with chairs. There is ice cream available. The young lady working was warm and friendly There are a good assortment of cupcake choices in reg and mini sizes. I saw triple chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, red velvet, mocha, and a few other options. Regular cupcakes are $ 2.95. So four set me back $ 11.80 plus what I stuffed in the tip jar. What was bad about Bliss before, why my family called it Miss(we won’t do that any more) was the cupcake texture. They used to be dry and overworked. This appears to be fixed. My strawberry cupcake was moist with a tender crumb. I liked it. My child liked her Red Velvet. We haven’t distributed the Mocha cupcakes to their intended giftees yet but they look good too. I am glad Bliss cupcakes suit their name a bit better. We might up our cupcake purchasing accordingly. We actually experienced a touch of Bliss eating our treats today. Nice to have it close to home. Im guessing they will do well with the new microrestaurants next door and the weather warming up. People like to congregate at the Bethany fountain with their kids. Seems like that’s a good match for a sweet treat.

My boyfriend and I have stopped in a couple of times for a treat. The treat turned into 6 cupcakes and a cookie. whoops. The cupcakes were divine. The red velvet, vanilla, and pink champagne(?) are just to die for. I could eat them all for ever. On our most recent visit, we decided to get a couple«single» cups of ice cream. The«single» was huge! Probably a cup and a half of ice cream. I was expecting one small, wimpy, scoop, and ended up having more than I could finish. But, of course I did finish it because it’s ice cream, hello. AND it is as rich and creamy and flavorful as ice cream should be.

I haven’t actually been to the store, but the cupcakes and cookies that a co-worker brought in for someone’s birthday were very good(and I have high standards for cupcakes!).

Bliss has really great cupcakes and it is so nice that they have vegan cupcakes as well! I also want to mention that I had them make a cake for my son’s birthday and it was SO perfect, moist and yummy. I bought a transfer picture because I didn’t know that they have their own transfer machine, and they did everything perfect. Now that I know they have a transfer machine, I may just have them do all my custom cakes! Highly recommend stopping by if you need something sweet.

I really wanted to like Bliss Cupcakes because it’s nice to have a little treat shop so close to home but I was slightly let down. I know St. Cupcake and Cupcake Jones pretty well, so I may be comparing to them a bit, but these cupcakes were just so-so. I have to agree with other Unilocalers that they were a bit dry. The buttercream frosting I had however was leaps and bounds better than many places. It’s true buttercream, not the lard filled version you find at Grocery Stores. There were two guys on staff, one was nice and helpful, I’m guessing the owner, and the other was a teenager who was sullen and kind of depressing for a Cupcake Shop. I think a bubbly personality goes with a cute bakeshop and especially with cupcakes. Overall, I’ll probbaly go back if I have a craving or if I need cupcakes for a special occasion and don’t have time to make them on my own. They really are MUCH better than the Grocery Store but don’t expect out of this world.

Me and my husband picked up a six pack of mini-muffins from here to give them a try and wow… even sitting in the car for the day and eaten much later they were incredible. Toasted almond, Oh La La, Caramel Apple, Mocha, Pumpkin and Smores… all were pretty amazing. I also picked up splendidly autumn decorated cupcakes for some friends which they loved. The prices were great, customer service fantastic and their shop is pretty adorable.

I am so glad I tried this place before reading the reviews! I loved this little cupcake shop! The cupcakes were beautiful, the shop was clean, and there was a fun play area for the little ones. I loved that this shop will sell the day old cupcakes at way discounted prices. And they were still very good! I love that this shop sells mini cupcakes, because let’s face it, we don’t always want a big ‘olé cupcake. Sometimes we just want a bite. And I love how the mini cupcakes won’t break the bank. I love how there were more than 4 or 5 flavors to choose… there were more like around 8 to 10 flavors. They also have an assortment of vegan and gluten free cupcakes… not that I care, because I’m not eating them,(I personally love gluten *load me up baby*.and the vegan thing is just no fun) but I know there are a lot of people who like that sort of thing. I tried a couple different flavors during our visit. We each in our group shared a variety of flavors offered. Now, while I can’t say the cake was the best I have ever had, it was not dry as so many other people experienced. Maybe all the other reviews noting such made a difference and a moister recipe is being used now??? The cake was just fine in that department. My only minor, very minor, gripe is that is lacked a rich flavor and maybe some filling would be a nice touch. The icings were delicious! The peanut butter one was very good, as was the chocolate cream. The mint was was good, but I preferred the previous two more than the mint. You know, yeah, it’s just cupcakes… and it is crazy what shops are charging for them these days… it really is. But when you have to bake these things fresh every day and there is no guarantee that you will sell them all, you got to charge what pays the bills. I felt like we got our money’s worth and we would most certainly come back. Oh, and they sell ice cream here too.

Stopped by on a whim, the bakery is very large, bright and welcoming. They have a lot of flavors on the board, but not all of the flavors are available for purchase. They have small cupcakes and large cupcakes, also ice cream. I tried the red velvet, it wasn’t really taste bud changing or anything very different. Not a rich flavor. I felt a little bummed out. They offer birthday parties for children, looked very neat on the brochure.

Why all the negative reviews? I had the vegan/GF chocolate cupcake… And by «had» I mean devoured before leaving the parking lot. It was moist, had a delicious chocolatey taste, and the icing wasn’t overly sweet. There are very few vegan dessert options this side of Portland and so it’s sad to see so much negativity geared toward this place. Give them a try. I think you’ll be delighted! :)

My husband’s sweet tooth had us make a quick stop here before heading home. The shop itself is tiny and cute and the staff seems to be friendly enough. We each chose a regular sized cupcake, two chocolate cream cupcakes and two mocha flavored. They offer a mini option. They packaged our cupcakes to go and placed a cute little bliss sticker on the container. The cupcakes were $ 11 for four. Ouch. I heard that and started crunching numbers in my head wondering how many cupcakes I could make at home for $ 11. But whatever, I figured these must be some really good cupcakes. I’ve paid that much, maybe even more at other places for an amazing little delicious cupcake. That wasn’t the case here. While I liked the flavor and creaminess of the icing, the cake itself wasn’t as moist as I like it. It wasn’t awful, just«eh.» Definitely not worth the price. When«the lady that likes to bake» at work makes something better than this and likes to give it away for free, a place like this isn’t going to have me running back any time soon. I really can’t say that they’re bad or I wouldn’t eat them again, they’re just not worth it. I say either lower the price or change up the recipe.

A client sent a box from Bliss to our office as a way to say thank you for our stellar service. A big white box filled with Red Velvet Cupcakes arrived and within minutes they had disappeared amongst oohs and aaaahs, licks of tongues and smacks of lips. I am not a huge fan of Red Velvet myself but one of my coworkers insisted that I share her cupcake. It was amazing! Yum yum yum! The cake was moist and the frosting was not too cream cheesy. ½ of a cupcake was plenty as it was rich and delicious. I am a fan!
