No coke available. The dart boards are dead. You can’t score a Bulls eye. No chock for the scoreboard. The star is for the fast bartender and that they have captain.

Nice Venue, Location, Screens –are large. Happy Hour for the deals. The service I received by miss thang was a big miss… and the nacho was cold and had frozen cubes of meat. We left and went to Als. pricier yes. Service and food better and worth it. I suspect Blitz is better later and for pool and pricey beers.

My experiences here have been widely inconsistent. There are two servers that go out of their way to give exemplary service but more often than not I’m left with a frustrating time at this bar. Last night I went here to watch a big UFC fight but found myself near the front of a line outside in the rain 20 minutes before the main event started. They were at capacity(fire code). No big deal, totally understandable. What I wasn’t ok with was watching the door guy greet his buddies who had just arrived then sneakily let them in. Additionally I watched the security guard accept money from strangers on the down-low in order to be let in. The 15 of us that we’re standing in the rain were disappointed to see this. The friend I was with told me this is par for the course. However, if I managed this bar I would ensure that my employees minimized shady under-the-table dealings in order to run my business with the upmost integrity. Needless I didn’t get to see the fight. Not the end of the world, I just wouldn’t rely on Blitz and its employees for consistent, ethically driven service.

A fine sports bar with fair prices and nice service. The crowd gets really bro-y in a very not good way, and the food really isn’t any good.. . wait, why do I like this place three stars? I’m not sure, but I’m sticking with it.

This place is solid. The drinks are med priced, but you are in the pearl — at least i feel like i didnt leave my wallet there being there for about 3 hours. Spacious. Lots of TV for the sports people, arcade games. Lots of tap, full bar and food options. Cant complain. Lots of rooms. good for you and your 20 friends. If you have that much! Joke. The bar service is aub par– but at least they get you the drink almost timely. Theres two floors, we mainly frequent the bottom one. Street parking. Clean. Beer. Food.

This is a great place. Three of us watched a basketball game on a weekday and it was packed with customers. The food was standard and the screens are amazing. Although it seems like a typical bar /sports bar, there was something nicer and more organized about its operations than other places.

Wife had egg veggie scramble. Was cold and toast showed up 15 minutes after the meal. Stay away from all blitzes. Man’s bathroom smells like a sewer. Ooops a sewer is better smelling. Gross. Service is terrible.

This place feels like a college sports bar, in the best way possible. The space is large with both tables and booths throughout the room and a huge bar in the middle. They have flat screen TVs hanging along the bar and walls, pool tables to one side, and arcade games at another. My friends and I went to hang out and grab some drinks after dinner and had a good experience. Service at the bar was prompt and they were offering HH food options(yes, we had just eaten… but tater tots are always a must. They were really tasty, too!). We spent a good chunk of time eating, drinking, and people watching and had a good time. I imagine this would be a good place to watch sporting events.

Great happy hour. Shuffle board and pool. Lots of space and TVs. Fun. Much like. Also Unilocal thinks my review is too short but some of the best reviews are quick and to the point so I give Unilocal one star. Burn.

Didn’t eat here… just had a few beers and watched a game. They were great about tuning in an out-of-town game for me despite the fact a Blazers playoff game had taken over about 99% of the room. Great service… huge room… dozens of TV’s.

Avoid at all costs. The bartenders aren’t too bad and they made some decent drinks but the problem is with the rest of the staff

Looked this place up to watch the NBA western conference semis and was told by the bartender he couldn’t change the channel! There is a UFC fight that takes priority… Over one of the big 3 sports playoffs?! I mean you have 4 TVs touching one another and they all show UFC and you can’t accomodate a customer who wants basketball? Not really a sports bar then, more of a single sport type bar. Probably a good spot to watch boxing or a good spot to watch other sports when boxing is not on otherwise. Good beers and lots of screens. I’m giving 2 stars because of terrible service.

I went to blitz for trivia night and I had the best time ever! The bartenders Becky and Linsey were more than accommodating and so happy to serve us! They were very friendly and dealt with the crowds extremely well! We will definitely be back

Bad, even for a sports bar. I placed my order at 1:00pm on a Monday, and the place was pretty quiet, so I hoped I had a pretty good chance of at least a passable meal. What I received was an undercooked unseasoned plain meat patty on a dry bun, missing the cheese I had ordered and whatever«blitz sauce» is supposed to be — it wasn’t there either. If you can’t even cook a simple hamburger… well I certainly wouldn’t want to stick around for the«fish». Walk another 30 feet in pretty much any direction for edible food if you find yourself on this block.

The waitress was friendly, attractive and attentive. But they have no beer menu, they have no drink menu and the one beer my wife wanted that she saw they didn’t have? WTF? Your business Is beer and you can’t print a God damn list? Beyond stupid. I also don’t care for the cramped peculiar space.

Seems like this place could be a fun, popular sports bar. Came here with a group of friends on a recent Portland beer-tasting weekend for Sunday football. I was surprised after seeing how small the upstairs was at how large the downstairs was. Even more surprising was the incredible number of TVs there were. Definitely seemed like an awesome place for Sunday football. Interesting though that the place was pretty empty at 11:30am on a game day. Maybe it was the cold that kept people out? That, or they don’t much care for football in Portland. Anywho — decent beer and cocktail selection. The food menu left a bit to be desired — but hey, it’s a sports bar, can’t expect too much. I guess overall I was a bit disappointed because a Portland native friend told me this is a great place for football watching. Based on TVs and space, it was. But I also take atmosphere into account, especially for a good game bar, and Blitz Pearl seemed to be lacking there. Maybe on another game day, who knows, but I probably won’t be back to find out.

Coming from Baltimore the night before, needed breakfast and football asap– we walked in right as they opened and was able to get the Ravens with sound on! They don’t have a breakfast menu, but were able to do whatever we asked for– so we had them do the TOTCHOS with eggs and bacon and WOW. Our bartender upstairs, Susanna, was wonderful, very accommodating and willing to chat and joke with us. Definitely a place we will come back to after we move back to Washington state! Excited to see how this bar fills for the Seahawks game! A definite bravo!

Solely based on a beer stop on Labor Day — I would rate the basement as fabulous. I am enjoying the quiet bar that is Blitz. Easy for a conversation, great attentive service, and some wonderful 90’s tunes. Yes it speaks to my age — but I’m ok with that. Cheers. Maybe it’s the influence of the beer — since they were out of the 2 beer I initially wanted. Ok — update… After my initial excitement, I see how dirty and mis-managed this place is. Will return, just with proper expectations. I mean, Captain Morgan’s arm is broke off and sitting next to him. Throw this dirty thing away! Most seats torn… Etc., etc.

You can imagine what the bar scene must be like after a soccer match at Providence Park — CRAZY! I imagine it was a little more so since the Sounders-Timbers ended in a tie. I was surprised that our group of five was able to find booth seating in the downstairs bar and the place was totally packed, too! As crowded as it was in there, service was quick and attentive. They do have a good selection of beers on tap and I really enjoyed the mac and cheese! Sup, bro? Not much, bro! I didn’t want to like this place at all. After all, its a bit divey, a bit like a dorm room. But super nice staff, and humongous nachos with great chunks of chicken is all I ever really need. Add a whole mess of flatscreens with sound on… and voila — you have me handing out 4 stars all day long. Britton, bartender, is like the nicest guy EVER. Beard, side burns, and casual — very Portlandesque — is like a little brother I wish I had. Awwww.
