Ah yes… the days before we had Netflix. The dark ages, as they are now known. We used to get by on new releases with free rental codes from Red Box, but when we wanted to go back and watch the Godfather or a TV series, Blockbuster was our only choice. This store has a pretty good selection and the staff has always been really friendly. Even though we rarely rented«newer» films, I just couldn’t get past the insane cost. I realize that these movie rental joints must be hemorrhaging cash in this climate, but I promise that you aren’t going to compete with my other options if you charge me $ 5 to rent that Bond movie that was released 2 months ago. I know that’s not far from the price you paid to purchase said DVD, so let’s not play this extortion game anymore. That said, if you need a flick now and you have some extra $ burning a hole in your pocket… go for it.

I keep going back and forth, one star or two? Sadly I am too lazy, and far too uncool to schlup my butt to Movie Madness. I get overwhelmed there and end up with some bullshit foreign film that I cant understand because I am stupid or just way way too damn high, ehem… back to BB. 7 years I have had an account at this BB, the last 3 of which I have been in almost weekly to rent shit from here. I know every single clerk, and every single clerk knows me. I can only think of 3 employees working here in my 7 years of patronage who have been kind or helpful to me. * 2 of those 3 don’t work there any more god love them* Is there some sort of dickhole quota this store has to keep, a 1 to 15 ratio or something? They have a lot of «Community Favorites» which tend to be LGBT or hip indie films, pretty appropriate for the community I live in. This particular store also has a ton of the tv shows you want to watch, lots of copies of them etc. Ill keep coming here, I wish that weren’t the case but sadly I know my lazy, uncool self pretty well.

Nothing fancy or special. If you’re looking for the obscure go to somewhere like Movie Madness Video & More, but Blockbuster does have a good selection. Lots of kid moves and the newest hits. The biggest down fall is the employees. This collection of geniuses always seam to find away to annoy me.

Only as a last resort. When you walk in the store it seems there is a large inventory. But mostly middle-America mainstream crap with relatively few award winning films. And why would there be a whole rack dedicated to Owen Wilson movies? Do that many people like suicidal actors with ugly noses? On a positive note they let you rent flicks for a whole week, instead of just 5 days.
