The tacos are 3-bite tacos, so you’ll probably end up eating 4 or 5. But they’re delicious, cheap, and a wide variety of them. Try the Buche, it’s excellent. If you want something bigger, get the half or whole grilled chicken. It’s juicy, smokey, perfectly seasoned, and about the best chicken you will ever get off a food truck.

Had tacos de lengua… Delicious. Was hoping for menudo, but even though it’s on the menu for weekends, apparently it’s only made in the morning«pa’ los crudos»… But what if I have a cruda at 4PM and really need menudo??? Compri una lata de Juanita’s en Safeway… Great honestly authentic food otherwise :-)

There were a lot of things on their menu, I chose the half chicken with beans and rice for $ 10. You let me down again Unilocalers. The chicken was just chicken… it was grilled, bland chicken. I couldn’t even taste the grilled meat. I thought it was just the sauce that people raved about, no the sauce had no flavors other than just spicy. Overall, the food was disgusting.

20 $ gets you a juicy mesquite flame grilled whole chicken with a bunch of sides. For a food cart, this place makes some really good food. It tasted so home made. The chicken was seasoned well and had a great run on it. Super juicy. And my wife and I couldn’t finish all the chicken. Some of the best bang for the buck in town. I’ll be back.

Best tacos I have ever eaten. The chicken and beef carne asada tacos are the best. The whole chicken meal is super good too. I love their hot salsa so I always order an extra container of it. Food is delicious but poor customer service except the guy who grills the chicken. He’s super nice and has a great personality. I wish their menus were in English so it would be easier to order. I think I miss out on other things because I dont know what’s available.

The Holy Grail of taco truck chicken. But, to call this«taco truck chicken» is mere shorthand for«the loveliest smoky-spicy grilled chicken you’ll find on any PDX roadside.» This — this! — is what I’ve been looking for: you can smell the wafting scent from a couple of blocks away, and soon you’ll be salivating over the colorful and varied menus pasted to the truck’s wall, and handing over $ 10 for… Wait, yes. A mere $ 10 for a half-chicken meal(you can also do a quarter– or a whole chicken), complete with five pieces of perfect perfect chicken, a hefty scoop each of beans and rice, a little salsa cup, and five hot corn tortillas for to wrap it all in. The only thing that made it more memorable was the avocado I added at home. And I can’t stop thinking about it. Two of us were stuffed after splitting the half-chicken meal(even after a miles-long hike at Powell Butte, which is right nearby), so it’s an incredibly budget-friendly way to indulge. The menu has many options; there are standard tacos, of course, and plates of combinations of all sorts if you’re feeling hungrier or more adventurous.(Hint: order the CHICKEN.) This is all fresh stuff; they do run out of chickens, so you can call ahead to check on inventory or to reserve one if that’s what your culinary heart is craving. Sit in their little covered patio area or take your food to go; regardless, you’ll be greeted with smiles. The folks running Bora Bora are so friendly and make me want to become a regular even though this is miles from my home. New Year’s Resolution: more hikes at Powell Butte, and therefore more meals at Bora Bora. This is one I think I can keep…

This place is fantastic! The chicken is moist, smoky and delicious. The tacos are perfect! Love the cabbage on top. The beans are great, rice is fluffy, and the tortillas are piping hot. I will be back here more than I need to be. Also, the gentleman manning the grill was super friendly, and the ladies in the truck were very sweet.

This taco truck has the best chicken tacos I’ve had in Portland. The tacos are taqueria style with a little finely chopped cabbage, cilantro and onion. Chicken is grilled to perfection outside the stand. The corn tortillas are perfect too, soft but don’t break apart. Salsa is extremely hot, so try it before you smother your taco with it. I’ve only ever had the chicken, so I can’t comment on anything else, but you won’t be disappointed.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We never would have known about it if not for some friends of our who live in Gresham and wouldn’t shut up about it. They were so right. We will now happily drive out there for Bora Bora. The chicken is butterflied, marinated in some heavenly mixture of spices and pineapple juice, and grilled whole. You can get a half or whole chicken with sides(they have other things on their menu, but the chicken is where it’s at). The sides are tortillas(good ones), rice, delicious pinto beans, pickled onions, and incredible salsa. Get extra salsa. We always get more than we need, and take some home with us – it’s pretty spicy, but most importantly it’s just really flavorful. Yesterday, we fed five hungry people(with leftovers) for just over $ 30. Everyone was over-the-moon happy with the food. The grill-master and ladies in the truck are really friendly to boot. One thing to bear in mind – this is an authentic taco truck on far SE Division. Forget ambience or frills. In my opinion, when the food is this good, it speaks for itself.

The chicken is friggin’ awesome. You can call ahead to make sure they have some available. The man working the grill was really friendly. A whole chicken, rice, beans(that are actually flavorful), tortillas(good ones), salsa(bomb, get extra), and 2 cokes for $ 20. Rad. Tacos look good too. It’s like 5 tacos for $ 6.50 or something. (Giving a bad review of Mexican food due to a lack of sour cream is ridiculous…)

If you are looking for location and amenities, then go somewhere else! If you are looking for AMAZINGFOOD then go to this food cart. They have the BEST broiled/charcoal chicken I have ever tasted, their beans have a kick to them and they taste amazing and the salsas, those are real salsas! They DONOTUSEMSG I asked the owner, the flavor is what we call in Mexico«El sazon de la Doñna» meaning is the owners style of cooking that makes the food taste soo good! Love Bora Bora

I got a carne asada burrito with no beans or rice. They don’t have any sour cream to add to it and it was kinda salty. To my disappointment they did not add any extra meat to the burrito so without the fillers of the rice and beans it was pretty small.

I first stumbled upon Taqueria Bora Bora during Eat Mobile. How could you pass by the food cart when there’s someone with a big chicken suit trying to get you to taste their chicken. I immediately fell in love with the charcoal grilled chicken. So full of flavor — YUM! I told myself that I would visit the food cart, until I realize that they’re all the way in Gresham! I finally visited when I was on my way to Eastern Oregon. Forced everyone else to stop by here and have lunch. Good thing everyone enjoyed it and agreed that it was very tasty. The chicken was soaked overnight before grilled over charcoals. We also tried the tacos, which were very good too. They have the usual suspects: al pastor(pork), carnitas, carne asada(beef) and chicken(same charcoal chicken) and the not so usual suspects: lengua(beef tongue), beef cheek, tripe, chicharron(deep fried pork rinds) and buche(pork stomach). They have a ton of other food that we didn’t even try — definitely not short on variety. The location could definitely be improved. In addition to the fact that it’s far, it’s also located in a parking lot without access to bathroom. They have a tank of water with spout to wash your hands. They have some covered tables, but since we went on a sunny day, we opted for the outdoor table. I really wish they’re much closer.
