What happened? Been coming back to the place and they have been closed? Their food is really good!

Excellent Mediterranean food and super reasonable price! stumbled upon this place by chance and would totally come back again. very impressed with the flavors and presentation. you can tell everything was carefully made with good ingredients. I should have taken a photo of my falafel salad came with pita + falafel+ tzatziki sauce + humus + baba ganoush + dolmas + other sauces all for under $ 8?! good portion size too. Chef adam was also friendly and engaging. Said he’s only been open since august 14′ so may have changed the name to «Taste of Casablanca» but the photos on here are the same as the cart i visited today so its the same outfit.

I love this place! This is the best middle eastern food in town. It’s owned by head chefs from two other top restaurants in town and this is a brilliant food cart creation by them. High quality food, you can get everything from gyros to a lighter salad. If you’re looking for lots of proteins and greens(like me) I highly recommend the chicken shawarma. The owners run the cart and they’ll treat you like family.

I love this cart! The chef is nice too, his young son has helped out before and he was very sweet and patient with his son which is adorable. Today I tried the spicy chicken plate and it was actually spicy(which is rare in Oregon), I also tried the baklava — which was by far the best I’ve had in a long time! All of his sauces are really good, his rice is aromatic and yummy, his pita bread tastes fresh every day, he puts the perfect amount of Sriracha sauce on for you if you ask him to — so perfect! Today I left without my pita bread and as I was driving away the chef came running out of his cart and handed it to me — so nice! I highly recommend this place, the lines can get long and slow during the lunch rush but it’s totally worth it!

This place moved to the Central Eastside Pod on SE Washington and MLK, after having been located in the Old Town/Chinatown area. I went here for the first time and met with the owner Abdul, who recommended that my friend and I get the Spicy Chicken Shawarma, Grape Leaves, Hummus, and Baklava for desert. He took the time to explain all the ingredients and spices that he put in the food. Needless to say it was delicious, and at a very affordable price. I spoke to him at length about him having moved to Portland 16 years ago for his wife after having been born and raised in Morocco. His passion for cooking shines through in this food cart and I will make it a point to stop here when I am on the Eastside.

One of 3 Moroccan owned food carts on NW4th between Couch and David, that cater to the crowd getting out of the Old Town/Chinatown Bars after hours. Food is decent and owner is friendly.
