I’m sad to hear that this place is closing so soon after I found it. Apparently they have been in the location for 9 years and they decided to get a booth at a shopping mall type place on the east side. They have excellent unique jewelry at good prices and lots of candles, soaps, creams, and knick knacks. The real star here to me is the jewelry. I think whoever is their buyer has a curator’s eye and they do a great job with the collections.

Well, how do you do? Charmed, I’m sure. Certainly every encounter I’ve had within the walls of Charming Moon has been most delightful. This sweet little space is chock full of the loveliest of items. They’ve an interesting array of unique and fragrant perfumes, soaps and candles. There are all kinds of beautiful jewelry items, really beautiful, one-of-kind jewelry items fashioned from Swarovski type crystals as well as genuine rock crystals. If you want a little something lovely in your life, venture on in and check this place out. 2015 — Review # 92

Visiting Portland from San Diego and accidentally found this shop walking by. The people are really friendly, the store is clean and bright with a perfect amount of merchandise laid out very tastefully. The products are unique and well priced and this is a perfect spot to find something for yourself, a friend or loved one. If you have 20 minutes stop in and you will go away in a better mood.

I like this shop, a little bit on the spendy but the products are very nice quality. Shop owner was very friendly and I appreciated that even though I made a small purchase she took the time to talk to me and acted like she cared it was nice.

Flora is one of my favorite stores Downtown and somewhere I always recommend to friends and especially visitors. I never leave empty-handed when I visit, which is both equally good and bad! They have an amazing selection of jewelry, among lots of other things. I have found so many great things when I stop by. My favorite finds are usually rings. They’re always a great price and have a big selection, so it is easy to find the right ring in your perfect size. Last year I did almost all my Christmas shopping here. I showed up on a random day and it was their anniversary and so they were having a party with snacks and champagne. I was greeted upon my arrival with a glass of bubbly to enjoy while I shopped around. Everyone was so helpful and I was able to find some great gifts for my family and even picked up a few things for myself. They were having a raffle too, which you had to be present to win, but were so sweet in «bending» the rules for me. I guess they had drawn my name to win right after I had left and they called me immediately and asked I could come back to the store. I went back and won this really awesome jewelry rack. The owner was there and told me «we don’t normally let people win once they leave, but all the girls said ‘we have to call her she just left’ so I obliged». It was very kind of all of them to still let me win. I really did appreciate it. I’ll be back like always. Again, and again, and again.

A friend and I decided to take a stroll after lunch before heading our separate ways for the afternoon. She mentioned that she wanted me to see the shop where she had bought a chair I particularly admired, so in we went. The white curtain fluttering at the door adds a note of mystery in terms of adventure and not knowing what you’re going to find on the other side. Fortunately, what you find through the curtain is lovely and intriguing once greeted by a friendly employee and offered some tea to sip while you shop. I have to go and get the tea another day because it was so fragrant and had such a subtle flavor. Toward the back of the store I mentioned to my friend that the tea tasted like pears to me. A woman listening in on the conversation thought I was talking about Pears Soap and objected because she did not find the tea soapy at all! I had to reassure her that I meant the pears as fruit … hmmm, odd, but oh well, onward and upward. The shop has a nice unified feeling in terms of what they sell and then keep a nice focus on the items for sale within each category(soap, mineral makeup, candles, aromatherapy oil, a few pieces of vintage furniture, jewelry, cards, stationery, etc.). I found some beautiful pieces of lapis lazuli jewelry which always appeals to me because of its deep gorgeous color. Another nice employee offered to show me some pieces and it was very easy to chat with her. I think I will visit again when looking for something beautiful and unique for a gift, but it’s also such a wonderful place to window shop and put a nice bit of polish and sheen on your day.

This place was darling and the woman working was so kind, offering me some tea and letting me walk around. It had so many pretty lovelies, most in about the 30 – 40 $ range. If I had more money to spend, I would spend it here for unique gifts.

This little shop had a wonderful selection of jewelry, bags, decorations for the home and tea. I was offered tea while I wandered around and ended up purchasing some as a gift. The staff was really nice, helpful and not pushy at all. I will definitely go back for more gifts.

This store is like it’s own amazing world, the more often you go in the more you discover. From amazing, unique cards to the best-ever hand-poured candles from Tatine; one-of-a-kind art and miraculously soft cotton blankets; teas and chocolates and hand-blended perfumes, Flora is the place to go anytime you need something magical — every item in this shop has a story, if you take the time to hear it. This place has a warm, healing energy: everyone who works there is extra friendly and very helpful, especially the owner Jewelie. The tea by-the-ounce may be my financial ruin: I can’t help but go back for more!!!(Current addictions: ‘Middle Earth’, ‘Tropic of Capricorn’, and ‘Black Panther’ — definitely ask for the story behind ‘Black Panther’!!) I couldn’t recommend this shop more, whether you’re shopping for a gift for someone else or brightening your bad day with a little loveliness.

I very rarely write reviews anymore, but this one is well deserved. I came upon Flora by accident while hobbling down the street on a very short trip to Portland. I walked in and was greeted by the very sweet owner who was not only kind and helpful, but truly a joy to talk to. She made me a sample of their Plum Oolong tea, which is delectable(and I’m almost out of it). Along with the tons of very beautiful and unique items they carry, they also make their own perfume oils. I am often quite repulsed by the smell of perfumes, it even gives me migraines. But these are oils, not the cheap(or often not so cheap but still appalling) alcohol and chemical-based perfumes you find at department stores. These are special, and they smell like heaven. It’s always such a pleasure to support local businesses, even more so when they’re as special and wonderful as this one.

I bought the most amazing bat necklace here… seriously the most lovely thing I own. Its good I live in SF and not Portland because a good chunk of my paycheck would go here. Great store for soaps and candles too!
