I took my boyfriend to Dapper to get his hair cut today by Sarah. She did a *great* job! His hair was super shaggy and he came out clean & tight. The 4 stars is because it was super quick — almost rushed. But extremely professional! He says he’ll go back! If you want your guy to go from Goose to Maverick, check out this place!

I had a haircut with Javier Castaneda and, no joke, it was the best haircut I’ve ever had. Javier worked with me to try different looks and he recommended the best one for me. I have been to so many barber shops over the years and this one is the best. The staff is very professional and courteous, they kept me updated via text message, scheduling an appointment was easy and I was impressed by how clean the shop is. I will keep coming back here and highly recommend you do too.

I’ve been going to Dapper Barber Co. since it was Modern Man beforehand. My main barber is Jovian. he’s always in a good mood and makes sure he takes his time to perfect his haircuts haircuts. that’s why I don’t mind waiting my turn for a haircut here.
I’ve also had my hair cut by Javier once when Jovian wasn’t in town and he also did an amazing job. I will say to Denis above «who isn’t that fussy.» that if you want a haircut that is quick and cheap; check out our local Supercuts $ 9.99 promo. If you want a team who takes their time to do a haircut, go here!

I recently moved up from Santa Monica, CA. In the four months I have lived in Portland, I have been to four different barbers and four different shops (all with 5-​star Unilocal reviews) and received expensive and horrible haircuts. I do not care as much about the shops décor or if I can get a beer as much as how I look and feel about my hair when I leave. Jovian saved my hair from my last botched job. Today was my second time with Jovian and he is my new Portland barber. I got compliments all day on my cut. I was starting to give up on Portland barbers all together. Thank you Jovian and Dapper!

Sorry. I had a really bad experience here. I went here because Bishop’s was busy across the street. While Bishops isn’t the greatest I know what I’m going to get and it’s usually pretty quick.
First the décor was really wierd and poorly put together and shit was messy — not a good sign. The guy who cut my hair was friendly enough but he took forever and it was in a creepy way. After being in the chair for about an hour on a standard back and sides I had to cut him off on the second attempt of shaving my neck hair. Another guy came in for a trim from a lady and was super sleazy with her which didn’t improve the ambience any.
Worst of all for $ 30 I felt I could’ve done a better job myself. 2 weeks later and my hair still looks fucked up. I’m really not that fussy. I can deal fine with an average cut, but for the amount of time it’s a shit show on top.
Never… again.
