Emily is my stylist here and always does a wonderful job! She has taken me from dark brownish red to blonde without a problem. Super attentive and detail-​oriented. I’d definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a new stylist!

Tried to schedule an appointment and wow, whoever answered the phone offered me only a few days to choose from and then when I expressed disappointment that those days wouldn’t work hung up on me before I could suggest other dates. I’m afraid to call back now. COLD.

I see Meaghan and have seen Nicole as well. Both are great with color, bob haircuts and dealing with thick hair! I find the pricing very reasonable and love that Davis Street Salon has a covered parking lot!

I see Kim to do my hair and don’t think I’ll ever go elsewhere. I came to her with fried off blonde locks and she’s fixed them to healthy, shiny just right blonde. I’ve never loved my hair so much as I do since I’ve gone to her, I’d definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a new stylist!

I highly recommend Leila for facial and beauty services. She has a long experience and well known in Portland. I strongly recommend her.

This place is great! Connie is a miracle worker. Always willing to fit me into her busy schedule no matter what. She has been cutting my hair since the late 60’s. You would never guess she is that old. The staff is very friendly and always willing to go to Taco Bell for me when I’m hungry.

I had been going to Emily at another salon so when she moved to Davis Street Salon I had to follow her. She is amazing. Turns my tresses back to blonde, and I always get so many compliments. I dont have to tell her how to cut my hair she just does her own thing and it looks nice and is easy for me to style at home. She is fun to talk to, parking is free, and the salon is in a great neighborhood. Yeah I have an appointment with her this week!

I followed my Hair Stylist, Michelle Henzi to Davis Street Salon. I have been going to Michelle for the last five years and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is extremely experienced and I trust her completely. I have turned two people on to her and they both continue to use her as well. What makes Michelle and Davis Street Salon unique from others is their attention and detail regarding sustainable and natural based products for hair care. Michelle is extremely knowledgeable regarding this subject and has really helped guide me towards using products that are sulfate free and non toxic. In addition Michelle has a wonderful demeanor and is a very pleasant and positive person to be around. I use her for both cut and color and my hair has never been healthier! The salon is nice, clean and simple. I feel this is a place for tenured stylists and they cater to a sophisticated and classy group of people. I am really able to fully relax and enjoy the experience of being pampered. They also have a parking lot in NW which is great!

I started going here in oct i think. i came in with dark hair want to be blonde but weary bcuz i had had a bad salon experience before. I worked with heather Nd she is awesome!!! not only am i a lovely blonde that wrks perfect with my skin tone she brought me to blonde without damaging my hair. its as healthy as ever! it is so so hard to find a hair dresser that listens to what YOU want and makes it happen. I get compliments on my hair all the time and always recommend Heather, this is one hair dresser you don’t have to be nervous about going to and you will for sure want to go back :)

I love this place! The staff is fabulous and my personal hair stylist Heather makes me feel like a million bucks every time I walk out. Her color suggestions are always spot on and done to perfection! It is so hard to find a great place to get your hair done and I am over the moon I have found my go-​to place. Connie the owner is also an amazing colorist with an eye not to be found in other places and she staffs her salon with like minded and artistic individuals. You can do a lot worse then the Davis Street Salon but I dare you to find better.

I came to Davis Street salon shortly after it opened because I was following my hairdresser Heather. She has worked complete magic on my pain in the toush hair for years! I was thrilled to learn that Connie was the owner, as I had previously frequented her salon over at Uptown which is where I first met Heather and it’s been a match made in heaven ever since.
Connie knows how to run a classy, clean, comfortable salon. You will find the staff polite and friendly without being overbearing. Nice, semi-​private stations so you aren’t next to another client sometimes hearing more than you want.
Heather is a color guru — I swear by her skills. Not every hairdresser is strong in every area — some are great at color, but not cuts. Some great with perms, not color. You get the picture. Since I’m not a perm girl I can’t say, but I KNOW color (addict for years) and Heather is awesome. She is terrific with cut and style too, often offering me cut and style tips as needed. I tend to go with her eye, she does know what she is doing and I have yet to be unhappy! She has done my hair for more than 11 years and never once have I been disappointed.
Melinda also worked at the previous salon of Connie’s so I can say I know she has a great personality in the salon. I haven’t had any waxing or facials with her yet, but would feel comfortable using her if needed anytime my current esthetician was out.
This salon is quiet, small, and offers complete services. You can confidently come here for anything and know you will leave satisfied and looking terrific!

Easy five stars for Jamie. Back when she was at her last salon, I tried her out on a panicky ‘must cut hair NOW!’ appointment and she was the one available to see me. Struck the jackpot! Jamie is cool, funny, unassuming, and I trust her completely with my hair. Always great recommendations and understands that I am a low-​maintenance woman yet still want a great cut, and delivers. I feel great whenever I leave, we have great rapport, and I’m comfortable asking questions as we go along.
Bonus — great support staff as well, clean shop, and semi private areas rather than being on an assembly line (I never felt like being in high fiving distance from someone else getting their hair cut and interacting with their stylist). Oh! And VERY reasonable prices! Most places downtown/​pearl are $ 60 – 80 for women, and Jamie’s prices are actually affordable, so i can go a few times a year (remember, I’m low-​maint, so that’s a lot!).
Only suggestion? A bike parking spot right in front of the salon instead of down the block :-)

I needed a bang trim and an eyebrow wax and thought I’d try this place out since I work close by. I was very happy with the polite service I received from the receptionist and how friendly everyone was. My eyebrow wax with Melinda was quick and painless. Like everyone else, she was very friendly and easy to talk to considering she was putting wax on my face. The service was $ 18, which seemed a little spendy at the moment but I was still happy with the results!
Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the stylist who trimmed my bangs, but she was very sweet and understanding that I was nervous about anyone but my usual stylist/​close friend touching my hair. I was also afraid that a new stylist would try and talk me in to visiting them for all my future hair needs, but that did not happen at all. She was a total professional. She did a great job and I was happy with the look. And for $ 10, it totally works for me between visits to my usual salon.
I was in and out in 20 minutes and back to work with no eyebrow redness and sassy new bangs! I will definitely visit Davis Street Salon again for bang trims and eyebrow goodness.
