Bah mi is good. Burger is bomb. Don’t mess with any ramen or soup. All crap. That’s all folks.

Double dragon was pretty interesting. The Korean fries were interesting to try, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best thing… I could do with out it. The«ramen» was different from a traditional ramen as well. It was actually really good and reminded me of a Lao noodle dish. The noodles were a little hard though. The pork belly bang mi was A+! Now that’s something to get here!

Had a rice bowl. Reports of delicious pork belly are real. The rice was a bit undercooked and a couple of things were left out of the bowl that the menu listed as included. They have apparently changed their menu quite a bit. No more duck bahn me. No more miso fries. It was good enough, but not as much as other users have reported.

This is a pretty good casual lunch spot to check out on the east side of Portland. You order at the bar and the food is delivered to your table with a self-serve water station. The food is very reasonably priced(under $ 15) and tasty — we typically get the pork belly banh mi(though this could use some more aioli) and the house ramen(the broth is good!); they also have really good fries with a tasty dipping sauce. There is a small but rotating selection of draft beers that is also reasonably priced, but a little more variety may help. At the end of the day — if you are in the area and are looking for a meal this is a good choice, but don’t go out of your way just to check out this spot.

This is just a quick update to my previous review — the collards are back as a regular part of the rice bowls, and they are better than ever! The Jaguar Shark is also my new favorite caffeinated cocktail.

Does the dragon breathe fire doubly? Perhaps! Does the dragon make food doubly delicious? I’m not sure, but it is tasty! The atmosphere is more mellow than fiery, but it’s all good! If the weather’s even a bit on the good side, many of the fairy dragon folk will sit outside, leaving many tables for us inside table lovers. You have to order at the counter, which isn’t my fave, but the bartenders/servers are friendly and relaxed. On my first visit, a friend and I shared the chickpea fritters and the kim chi, both were delish, though I can only handle a bit of kim chi. I also had a banh mi sandwich, can’t remember which one, but it was flavorful and satisfying. On the next visit, I just had to try the bahn mi burger. It was good, but mainly due to the condiments. The meat itself was slightly dry and not the best I’ve had, but was certainly more than edible. My friend ordered the miso gravy fries. Holy friends of the forest, they were divine! They are covered in a miso gravy, pork belly and garlic! What is the sound of one fry clapping? I don’t know, but this stuff might give you the answer and will definitely make you smile Drinks are pretty standard, but do the trick. Grab your favorite hobbit, hop on a unicorn and head for the Dragon!

First time here and we didn’t know we had to order at the bar first so we sat for about 15 minutes waiting for service. There were only two bartenders working. No servers. So when you come in be sure to order. The place is super cute with Asian inspired art and décor. They play hip hop. Casual and laid back atmosphere. We ordered the pork belly bank mi, house ramen, and miso fries! All very tasty! We finished everything! Also, they have huge shredded coconut cookies! I bought two! They’re perfect for dessert! Will be coming back again!

Had the Chicken Banh Mi — everything you would want! It was very tasty. I love the outdoor seating and had my pup as well. Fries are only $ 3 for a small and it comes with a lot. It is kind of spendy(other than the fries) and you bus your own table.

Came for happy hour and got the Banh Mi Burger(only $ 10 for a burger + beer). The burger was pretty good, I prefer my patty to be thicker, so it was a little thin but otherwise good quality meat. I really liked the pickled veggies and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The sriracha added a nice little kick! A unique take on a burger — would get it again!

Went back and it was great again. Ramen broth was amazing. Yellow curry was very spicy and very good. Fun little place, not pretentious at all.

Definitely not what we expected, but most everything was unique and good. It was a strange mix of Asian foods, but it worked. The place was very busy. We tried the spicy ramen, szuchen burger, banh mi, gravy fries and pork rice bowl. All were definitely tasty. We came here with 2 toddlers and 2 infants. They are mainly a bar at the hour we went, but it was still nice that they had one high chair. Service was friendly too. The guy that helped us set up our tables for 10 was great. FYI there’s happy hour before 6. We didn’t know! It’s 2 dollars off rice bowls and ramen.

Went here for cold rainy night ramen craving but come to find out they stop serving ramen after 10pm. Their menu is very limited as it seems more of bar bites rather than a restaurant. Heard good reviews of the ramen but unfortunately couldn’t try it. Ended up with the pork belly banh mi since I was there anyways. Although good, nothing memorable or anything worth coming back for.

Service was a little stand off-ish, but if you can look past that, it’s a great little spot. Get the ginger margarita! So very good. The three of us split a side of kimchee, the yellow curry bowl and the salad and it was more than enough. Lot’s of spices, I didn’t even put sriracha on it(can you even?!) This is a nice«after» place. As in, you had dinner, then you got drunk, and now before you head home, you want a final drink and little snack.

Love the ramen. It’s not the same as other places but distinctively delicious. The miso fries a la poutine are scrumptious. They offer a full bar and although I wasn’t a fan of the selections(personal taste) there were those in the group that loved what they had. On one of the occasions I was there it was a little bit of chaos with the order at the bar process. I’m used to it but the bartender yelled to the group in line(obviously waiting to order) he would help whoever came to him. He couldn’t be bothered to walk two steps to his left to help the person standing in front. One person decided to take that opportunity to break from the back while the rest of us(about 7) stared at each other in bewilderment. The rest of us stood firmly in line and then the bartender(after mixing the drink) took two steps to help the next person. Weirdness, right?

Cold, Rainy night in Portland called for some ramen. We went here on a Sat – with an 8 month old. It wasn’t busy; it was dark, but comfortable. My wife and I really enjoyed the music. We both had the ramen and thought it was great. It had a curry taste to it, which is not very traditional, but I still like it. The pork belly was excellent; I wish they threw in two of them in the soup. I really liked the noodles, and they were great mixed with the broth and the egg yolk. The broth wasn’t super rich, but it still hit the spot; I think maybe the curryness distracted a bit from the broth, but I won’t ding them for that. Still need to try their burger; it looked bomb.

The music(DEATHMETAL!) was blaring when we entered… The guy behind the counter was nice enough to change the music for this old fogey! The prices are a little pricey for the portion. For the rice bowl, I would rather have ½ the rice served, twice the veggie portion and 2 more slices of pork belly — for the Bahn Mi — I would love to have had a smidge more meat — just sayin’… The Bahn Mi was tasty! The Rice Bowl was tasty, too. I an not complaining about the food at all. The place was clean — the service was good — the food was good. I would definitely eat here again. Again, thank you counter guy for the change in tunes! I appreciated the fact that you weren’t a jerk who told me to «F-off»!!!

«Orient by Occident». Double Dragon lives up to its slogan — a symphony composed of hearty, comforting meatiness and spicy, tangy Asian flavor on your taste buds if you will. I came here a couple times for lunch, but the best times are after a nice Apex session across the street, when you have to have a basic hangover prophylaxis(ymmv). My favorite Banh Mi here is the Pork Belly; just a delicious mix of melty porkfat, charred meat, pickled carrot, daikon radish and spicy sauce on a thick french roll. The fluffy bread can be too mouthful though. My least favorite is the Chicken Katsu as it’s pretty dry, some extra sauce might help if you absolutely need chicken. I wasn’t expecting much of the Kimchi Dog, but it was surprisingly good. This Kobe Beef Dog is another perfect fusion of Orient and Occident. Double Dragon is a great aftermath for foodless Apex or if you like HEAVY Asian Fusion in general.

So this police takes a little twist on Asian food, it’s kind of like a mix between the mise food, Chinese food, and Korean food. As well as their sin American white influence in there as well. Coming from a Asian person born into a very Asian family in a very Asian community it was a little weird at first. But having tasted the sandwiches and the kimchi fried rice, everything was pretty good. The pricing on it was okay, but nothing too amazing for the price. We had a couple drinks and the drinks tasted good, but they weren’t very strong. So I think they tasted good because they mostly had to mix your items in there. It took a long time for them to actually make the drink, but for actually talking to Louis didn’t take very long. The drinks prices were average. What’s cool is that nighttime they have karaōke! I’m not sure if they have karaōke every night, but that’s something to check in with them. I’m sure it’s on their website too. We came on a Saturday night, and it was poppin off,… It there were a lot of people there and it was kind of hard to find a seat inside or outside. So means it must be super fun, right?
